Useless

No email to say parcels wouldn’t be delivered on chosen date. When I did receive the parcels the were so damaged I had to ask for them to be collected. Waste of time and money. Oh and because they were so damaged some very bright person taped all of the boxes together instead of thinking they look damaged they can’t be sent to the customer.

Amazing staff at Screwfix Wandsworth

I have probably been visiting screwfix in Wandsworth 100 times in last 6 months.
The people who work there are cheerful and helpful. I will be sad when my building work is done! Sanjay particular is a real gentleman and helps me load my car! Thank you Screwfix Wandsworth!

A shower of ....

Ordered a shower online on Thursday. Received email saying will be available to collect on Saturday. Waited for text on Saturday, never came. The day was getting longer and I needed to fit the shower. I decided to drive to store. The assistant said "oh it's the shower, for Mr Beal", sorry it's not been delivered to store". Absolutely disgusted I felt. I asked what would have happened if I hadn't drove to store. They just apologised. Not good really. I generally have a good experience at Screwfix, but not this time. They should at least let customers know. Get it sorted.

Cannot use my email address

I was constantly having to log in to my account, every time I ordered a product. I contacted customer services who stated that their IT system didn't recognise hotmail accounts and they suggested using my wifes outlook account. I have done this, which seems totally ridiculous anyway, but now it will not allow me to change my selected store. I buy products in Liverpool and Fort William. What nonsense!!

Have ordered a radiator from screwfix…

Have ordered a radiator from screwfix and the courier service they use DX - failed to deliver this item twice then sent the item back to Stafford Screwfix. Have constantly been chasing Screwfix customer service who promise to ring you back never do. This retailer is bad and dont care will never order anything from them again - whole stress causing me stitches to break and then had internally bleeding. Screwfix had many opportunities to address their customer service and delivery failure shortfalls but never did

Had a plumbfix account

Had a plumbfix account. The app was notifying me that I had rewards to use. When using the app in store rewards section empty. Phoned customer service and explained the issue told to uninstall and reinstall still no joy. Informed I could phone up and they can be emailed to me. So I have deleted my accounts and will use other merchants. Poor show Screwfix had an account for 6 years plus but will not use again.

Screwfix CIFAS Misuse

Screwfix Trade UK used CIFAS to punish and pressure payment of a debt.

This was not fraud.
It was a credit issue.
They treated it like misconduct.

A CIFAS marker was applied because invoices were unpaid.
Not because of deception.
Not because of fraud.

In writing, they linked removal of the marker to repayment.
Then they denied that removal was possible at all.
The position changed when it suited them.

CIFAS is meant to prevent fraud.
Here it was used as leverage.
Pay, or suffer the consequences.

This feels coercive.
It feels punitive.
It feels wrong.

Trade customers and directors should take note.
If you fall into difficulty, Screwfix Trade UK may escalate aggressively.
Fair treatment should not be assumed.

Order cancelled with no explanation

Online order for a shower, shower screen and towel radiator was cancelled after being “selected” for an internal security check.

The only issue raised was a different delivery address to the billing address, which was fully legitimate and explained immediately. Despite this, the order was cancelled with no meaningful explanation and I was told I’d need to visit a store in person to reorder and pay.

No flexibility, no practical resolution, and a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. I’ve since ordered the same items from a competitor — at a better price.

Fraud prevention is important, but this was a very poor customer experience.

Très mauvaise qualité des 3 malles de…

Très mauvaise qualité des 3 malles de rangement vendues par lot de 3, et annoncées comme robustes !
La 1ère boîte était complètement cassée comme du verre, et tous les articles se baladaient dans un emballage en carton décollé sur un côté.
Les articles n'étaient même pas emballés avec précaution ! Emballage négligé ! Et livreur DPD pas soigneux du tout !
Après avoir obtenu un bon d'achat, valable seulement un mois, pour compenser cette livraison défectueuse, je ne trouve aucun article intéressant de remplacement, car trop d'articles sont indisponibles à la livraison !
C'est cher pour ce que c'est, je ne recommande pas !

Very unfair and bad marketing

Went to purchase a offer on Screwfix‘s website went to pick up my credit card within 30 seconds they’ve put another £35 on it normally it will say when the offer finishes but when I contacted Screwfix they said that they can change minute by minute very poor marketing I have a business account with Screwfix which is now gonna be closed. I tell other people to do the same run customer services nothing they could do. We are talking within minutes. The price has gone thirty five pounds will not be shopping with them again. I invite people to do the same most businesses advertise when they offer finish finishes but not Screwfix

Further updates from Screwfix very poor customer services they’re telling me that the price was the same for quite some time but why would I be ringing and saying and complaining? I would’ve just bought the product so it’s almost as if they’re insinuating that I’m lying I will not be using Screwfix ever again. I will also be cancelling any other orders and not using B&Q. Also as that is a part of the same group. I would invite you to do the same as their customer service has told me that that has been the price for sometime well I completely disagree. I just wish I’d taken a screenshot at the time. Why would I be wasting my time? Ringing them being on the phone for 20 minutes and the customer Services person that I first spoke to went and checked and said there was nothing they could do as it was out of their control they don’t do pricing but it isn’t very clear on anywhere on their website that their prices changed 2nd by second in the day, so beware of this scam very poor at least when other companies put they say when this will finish from start to finish date or at least put this offer can be changed at any time as we have a live pricing scale so vote with our pocket skies. There’s lots more other retailers out there that we can support and this isn’t one of them.

Well what can I say? Screwfix? Thank you very much for the voucher of £30 which brings the item back to where it should’ve been in the first place so thank you very much. That’s been very much appreciated and I’m posting this to say thank you to you for being so accommodating with your help.

Unbelievably bad - a Screwfix subsidiary

Unbelievably bad, and owned by Screwfix who generally have a good reputation. Booked an oven repair 29/10/25 in good time for Christmas. Engineer appeared following week.To say he was clueless, arrogant and lazy would be an under statement. He asked for the manual to
for the oven and what model it was - information provided on the e booking form!

He suggested that there was nothing wrong -I always have things repaired that aren't faulty of course. He left not having fixed the fault. We rearranged and asked expressly not to have the same engineer. He came again - didn't fix it but this time lied to HO and said that he had. I measured the temperature of the oven. 140/150 max, he said 220 to Head Office. I had to buy a thermometer for that. We didn't have the oven for Christmas because of this.

We then got our own local guy (should have done this in the first place). He laughed that the Repair Care 'engineer' didn't even pull the oven out. We are still trying to get RepairCare to anknowledge our complaint and refund for what is a total joke. They are obviously not too bothered to run with a 2 star TP score. I'll copy this to Screwfix next because they'll care more there. Do not use this lot it is a poorly thought through subsidiary that no doubt makes no money and doesn't get any top table attention from management. They need to close it. The engineer needs sacking too - if indeed he was even employed in the first place - looks like a freelance model to me

Very Discouraging.

Entered a store to enquire about a suitable wrench to replace a leaky shower hose, which I showed in order to help find a suitable item. Was told they don’t give advice, just sell items.I was quickly shown images of wrenches and had to ask to slow down. On producing a wrench I remarked that it was possibly too big and was quickly told “ It’s up to you.” On enquiring about a possible return if it wasn’t suitable was told it would have to be returned unused. I replied that I’d have to use it to see if it worked satisfactorily for my purpose, and was told it meant returning it in its original condition. A quick transaction and on to the next customer. If that’s a standard Screwfix experience I certainly don’t want to use them again. Rather surprised to be honest: I usually find stores that sell tools very helpful and thoughtful.

Dissapointing

Dissapointing, only half my order was recieved when i queried so told been shipped in 2 batches must be on same wagon , the second couldnt find my address so down as none delivery now i have a handy man coming round with only 50% of items i asked if it could be dropped of early sunday, to be told they dont work sundays (when i have another delivery coming today ??)

Very poor delivery service

Ordered a room thermostat at 11:30 on 8/1/26 for next day delivery. Confirmation that item had been dispatched by 13:01 the same day, plenty of time for parcel force to get it to their local hub and out for delivery on 9/1/26. You would think that, unfortunately Parcel Force has let me down, not out for delivery on 9th or 10th?
Not expecting it to be delivered on a Sunday so hopefully it will be Monday 12th. That’s not acceptable. I would suggest Screwfix replace their delivery partner with someone like DPD.

Is this the beginning of the end?

What has happened to Screwfix? Once the hub of the trades and the DIY enthusiasts. Their service has simply ceases to exist.most of their products are not longer kept in store and are required to be ordered for “next day”. That in itself causes two issues, in 2026 you can practically get anything for anywhere next day, so why go to Screwfix? You can order the same products from the likes of Amazon to come the next day or even the same day. Almost all suppliers offer a next day delivery. Screwfix’s winning formula was the ability to just nip in and get that part you needed, well not anymore. Even if you do order for next day delivery, an inexcusable amounts of times, you wait and the order simply doesn’t get delivered to store. You never get a reason other than “they just didn’t send it out”. There are clear signs they are failing as a company. This coin collection rubbish they seem to think their customers want or need, is just ridiculous. I mean, It would be at least something if they allowed you to collect the coins for a sensible amount of time, but there don’t. High values, over a short period of time, just for a 5% discount over a large value purchase. This is something Toolstation do throughout the year, if you just spend £75 a month AND it lasts for an entire month. Come on Screwfix, we all know it isn’t a perk for the customer, it’s to try and entice people to spend large amounts of money to prop up your failing company. I’ve watched businesses fail throughout my life and if you don’t pull your finger out, you will follow them. I find myself avoiding Screwfix a lot of the time now for the reasons I explain above.

Deliveries are super unreliable

Deliveries are super unreliable. Don't believe the 2 to 3 working day delivery. Carlow staff are friendly and helpful but goods just haven't arrived. N2355082300 is the order number. It will be a week tomorrow since I ordered.

Not fit for purpose product

I recently bought a picture hanging kit from Screwfix and the nails kept bending, but when I took back to the Porth branch they told me that some of the nails were missing and they wouldn't take the product back because they didn't make it,so they sell very low quality products but fail to take responsibility for them when they fail, Basically they don't my future purchases
