The self-catering house I stayed in was superb. Very high standard and I though reasonably price. Booking through Shamrock also gave me a 15% discount on my ferry booking across the Irish Sea

Great peaceful location
Great location and a well apportioned property in a peaceful location. With a little bit of "TLC", would be a first rate property but there were a few minor niggles with cleanliness which were addressed albeit not a show stopper.

Cottage great location and fairly…
Cottage great location and fairly comfortable . Plenty of space and well equipped, however bathrooms not clean and towels had seen better days . Thin and grey in colour.

Very disappointed with cleanliness of…
Very disappointed with cleanliness of cottage, could be a lovely place but needs lots of improvement. Dead flies & spiders on windows, thick dust everywhere, all crockery & utensils had to be washed before we could use them. Oven needs a good clean, glasses also had to be washed before using, Dust under beds & behind cupboards thick, used long duster mop to remove as I did not want to be bitten by spiders, found empty wine bottle in bedside cabinet, which we left as we don't drink wine. Settees very uncomfortable & lounge was smelly......piano & stool thick with dust, awful really. Very disappointing.

A piece of heaven.
The spectacular views from the cottage are amazing. A few steps down onto the beach are at the bottom of the garden.
Very relaxing, a place to wind down from the crazy pace of the world today. Loved it.

Excellent standard property. Professional and friendly host. Not the cheapest when compared to Airbnb but still good value overall. Would book again using Shamrock cottages.

Lack of warm water and power (showers) in the house
For the most part, the showers had no hot water and lacked power. We have another group staying at this house at the end of August, and something really needs to be done about this! I expect to receive feedback on this.
Further: we enjoyed the house and especially the surroundings!

A curate's egg
The caretakers don't answer emails. UK cottages nearly always have comments books, this one doesn't. Baby bunnies were a bonus! Cottage was cold on 2 days when outside temperature was only about 11c.
I emailed in advance (twice, forwarding the conformation email from Shamrock both times, no reply (and I didn't get a failure to deliver from my emailer)). Igave up trying and my wife phoned prior to departure, her call went to voicemanil and the reply message was not clear. When you travel 400 miles to a different (supposedly friendly) country you expect a bit more than that. They had left the key to the front door under the doormat,but we didn't know that so we had to phone and be told where it was. Then we couldn't find the wifi password (it was in a photoframe on the mantelpiece, but we didn't know that either. We've booked at least 50 different holiday cottages over the last 35 years and this is the only one where no one turned up to let us in and no one answered my emails. we would be happy to book again with Shamrock, but not Annascaul cottage. And by the way, the address is wrong on your site. It says '3 Canard Ardrinane Co. Kerry ', but it is actually at '3 Killard Ardrinane'
