They Came Through For Me
They had the ASSOS item I'd been searching for at a good price. Of course, once I'd completed my purchase transaction I remembered that there were several more items that my wife and I also needed. So I looked and found them on their site at fantastic prices - but couldn't include them back into our original order to save on shipping to California. So I E-Mailed them and asked if they could include them and got a reply within a minute (at nearly 18:00 hours their local time on a Friday) that they could and would send me an electronic invoice for the additional amount. Saturday morning I had the invoice, paid it and on the following Friday had all 6 items delivered in the mail. Doesn't get better than that. Great products, good prices and responsive service. I'll definitely be using Shinybikes again and will recommend them to my friends.

I ordered a Icetools Truing Stand on 27 March. It arrived damaged the following week, eventually got a response and item was returned (with no offer of refunding postage as they are required to do under the distance selling regs). Chased and chased and eventually got the "it was out of stock so we had to re-order" excuse followed in the next week by "we're sending it out" followed by finally "It's been sent on 1 May"
Guess what? Item has still not arrived, tracking number is useless, no response by email and their phone isn't being answered. Started the chargeback/complaints process with the credit card company to see if that wakes of their "customer services dept". In short save your time, money and sanity, admittedly paying a bit more, but use one of the bigger, more reliable online merchants
Update :- after more chasing.... was offered an apology and a refund via Paypal.

I ordered a pair of Campag ergos and Zipp Handlebars on 8 March. The ergos came in a couple of weeks and the bars were ' to follow'. A couple of answered phone calls later made me realize that 'next week, for the bars was never going to happen, so I asked for a replacement that was in stock. On 1 April I was assured that a set of Dedas were on route. So far nothing - no bars and no refund. No reply to emails and the phone just rings and rings.
I have decided for my sanity that it is best to write this whole thing off to a bad learning experience but as far as I am concerned these guys have taken my money and totally failed to provide any goods or refund.
I managed to get a lovely set of bars from my LBS - lesson learnt?
I will continue to use Ribble and Wiggle who have the basic appreciation of customer service ie provide goods that people pay good money for.
Do not use this company unless you are prepared to lose money

Wish Id have read this first. Ordered a bidon toolkit for my bike.
I'm doing a big ride this coming bank holiday, and wanted a container to keep all my tools and spares in. Saw one on their website, ordered it , paid for it , waited for it , waited some more and some more. nothing, no response from them, ( response from PayPal )
sent an email asking if there was an ETA ? next day and email from PayPal saying ive received a refund. Dont bother, there are many more better places to buy from

Waste of time
Order a R2C vivid for my bike and got a E-mail through to say the order had been confirmed then nothing, no other E-mails to say it had been dispatched or anything. So I rang up the companey and spoke to a man who said it would be dispatched that day, the again nothing no email or anything. So I waited a few days than rang again. This time they told me that they were out of stock of this item and would have to refund my money. I got the money back in the end but the whole thing was just a waste of time.
Appalling! Just don't waste your time!
I made my order for a pair of expensive wheels. Despite the website advising me the order was confirmed, I still hadn’t received any confirmation a week later, so I tried calling on the phone. After a continually painful process trying to get through over the next couple of weeks, where I was advised that "there was stock available and that the order was going through" several times. Next, "the order had been dispatched, but must have been delayed, I'll send you a tracking number" several further times.
Still nothing arrived. After multiple further attempts to get through on the phone over another week or so, I was eventually advised that the wheels hadn’t been dispatched at all, and that they were in fact out of stock!
The next day, I hadn’t heard anything back as I'd been promised, so I called back again. However, this particular day, I called 28 separate times, with no answer on any occasion!!! The company were then apparently "stock taking" the following day.
I was finally advised that, as the wheels had sold out, my only alternative option was to pay an extra £700 for the latest version of the wheel. No apologies. Nothing. So, almost a month later, I was forced to just ask for my money back.
Anyway, to cut a long, very boring, and exceptionally frustrating, story short, just don't waste your time. I wasted many hours trying to call them - culminating in 28, yes 28, unanswered phone calls in one day! This is a hugely unacceptable way to run a business. I haven’t even had so much as an apology.
Why even bother with this poor excuse for a company? Go with one of the many other bike websites with excellent customer service and delivery.
Great Experience, Excellent Prices, and Fast Shipping
No problems with my order! Got the best price on Campagnolo, and shipping was pretty fast, at least to the US. I've talked to customer service on the phone, and they're very friendly and helpful. The items came just as described, and seem to be helpful when asking questions.
I had my reservations about buying from the site, but I didn't run into any of the problems some others may have experienced. I wouldn't worry about purchasing from Shiny Bikes. Great stuff and a good experience!

After making my payment for a new shock on a perfectly reputable looking website, and receiving all the expected responses from the company and worldpay I heard and saw nothing after. Do not order anything here unless you want to throw your money away.

I made an order consisting of an Ultegra Di2 groupset and four tyres at a cost of over £1000. This took several weeks to arrive despite several promises along the way that it would be sooner. When I finally took delivery, I discovered one of the Di2 cables was missing and all four tyres were the incorrect model.
In order to save my cycling weekend I ended up buying a replacement cable from the local Specialized Concept Store. I also had to use an old pair of tyres I had lying around.
When I queried the order, I did receive a refund for the missing cable. I also returned the incorrect tyres for a refund but had to cover the return costs myself, despite what the website says about refunds on incorrect orders.
I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Even with the Easter Holiday my parts arrived in 9 calendar days from date of order placement. Great tracking and email updates, answered phone promptly when I called them.

I ordered 2 rims on 17 january.
Two month after, no news.
When I finally was able to reach them by phone (!!!) They asked me to remove my opinion on trustpilot and they were going to give me news of my order but nothing.
Yesterday, I called again, they said they will call me back in 5 minutes and nothing !!!
They are unable to give me a tracking number and I think it will be difficult to have my money back !!!

Item received and as per specified delivery time on Shiny Bikes web site to Australia and in perfect order and well packed. No other online bike shop could supply this specific saddle that I was after. Shiny Bikes price was very, very good. I have no problem dealing with Shiny Bikes again.
Buying stuff on line is not like going to a shop, by that, I mean that you should always use PayPal or have buyer protection on any card that you may use, this is important in all online purchases. Protect yourself always. Shiny Bikes provide their full contact details and I personally, always ask a question about the product that I wish to purchase. This will establish communication and make sure that what I am ordering is what I am getting. Sometimes customs open parcels for security checks, unfortunately that's the way it is these days. I will buy from Shiny Bikes again.
Poor customer service and information
Ordered my item 2 weeks ago, e-mailed after 7 working days to ask if had been despatched to be informed "lest week by Royal Mail". I have then asked for the despatch date and if the goods can be tracked as they should have arrived by now if using Royal Mail, and have received no info/feedback.

Sidi shoes
I ordered a pair of top of the range Sidi shoes on 13th January 2015, and a package arrived quite promptly on 19th January. Unfortunately, it contained the wrong shoes - right size, but wrong model number and colour. I tried contacting them by phone initially to advise, but gave up trying to do so as the phone was either continuously engaged, or simply rang out. I duly went through the on-line returns process, and followed the instructions to the letter, repackaging the goods and despatching them back to Shiny Bikes by first class parcel post at my own expense. The goods were returned on 26th January. After some weeks had passed and I hadn't heard anything from them, I telephoned the company and after 14 attempts, finally got through. The guy I spoke to said he remembered the returned shoes coming back in, and would get the correct ones despatched to me straight away. That was over 2 weeks ago, and still nothing. I phoned again this morning, and got through on (only) the sixth attempt, and spoke to someone who took my order number and said they'd look into it and get back to me 'shortly'. Needless to say, there has been no call back, and my subsequent attempts to contact them result in the phone just ringing out, and nobody answering. C'mon guys - that's over 2 months since the order was placed. How long does it take to sort something like this out?

Over the years I have bought two Campagnolo group sets and an Enigma Etape frameset from Fraser and the Shiny Bikes team.
Fraser is always helpful and knowledgable on the phone and will guide you in the right direction with decision making.
Perhaps the customer comms could be improved through the adoption of an integrated e-commerce systems e.g automated despatch confirmation texts or info on shipping details.
Goods always arrive promptly and are well packaged.
Just bought my wife some upgrade components and will be happy to use again.

Bought a Monarch shock off them at a great price. Three weeks later and despite multiple attempts by myself and PayPal, no response at all, not even a shipping date or a "sorry we don't have it in stock". It took a week and three hours on the phone with PayPal to get my money back. Wish I hadn't been so hasty and done my research first.
