Absolute amazing services and very friendly people.

If anyone is thinking about getting a door or just a window or the whole set replaced, then I’d highly recommend Smart Homes Darlington. Took 2 days from start to finish. They were a day behind schedule, which was no fault of their own as the job before mine proved to be more tricky than expected. They kept me updated as soon as they knew they couldn’t make the first day. They were very considerate and tidied as they went. The workmanship is 5 star and I’m so happy with the finished product. They even replaced my front door step for free which I absolutely love, as it was falling apart and it’s saved my dad a job! Don’t always listen to the reviews you hear online or the people that troll your posts when looking for recommendations. Had so many negative comments, but I went with my gut anyway and I’m glad I did. Couldn’t be happier. Anyone that knows me knows I’m picky AF and I pay attention to detail. I have a 10% voucher for 5 units or less or 15% off for anything over that if anyone is considering an upgrade (and no, I’m not getting anything out of singing their praises) people are too quick to leave a negative review nowadays, but it takes just as much time to leave a positive one ❤️

Got cold called this morning from someone canvassing the street, gave my contact details because I am looking for quotes for new windows and doors in the foreseeable future. Got a call from a mobile number, saying they were calling from the office and could arrange for an estimator to call round to measure up and provide a quote. Estimator call round about an hour later. Seemed very pleasant and chatty, went through our choices for styles, window opening directions etc. The estimator was with us about 3 hours, but had a complete character change when the price was discussed. We said we'd need to have a think about it and maybe do things in piecemeal given the quote price, but wasn't taking the hint, pushing finance options and throwing monthly payment prices around, heavily pushing for us to commit to time scales etc. in the end I said we aren't prepared to commit to anything and he left.. luckily I play my card close to be chest when it comes to sales people but I can see how other people may fall victim.. never be pressured into a sale!

Really happy with my new door. Looks amazing. Had to wait in 2 days as lads couldn’t get here on the Monday but they were excellent on the day. They also adjusted my French doors which were sticking as a kind gesture thankyou x

From the sales consultant, surveyor and team of window fitters every thing went smoothly. The fitters turned up on time they were very polite and tided up at the end of the day they also layed down dust sheets, the office staff also rang to ask if every was OK 👍

Wish I read the reviews first one of my family members decided to use this company absolutely shambles can't communicate even if they tried. They say everything is getting done on one/two days bullsh#t!! Be prepared to chase them for it to be installed.they turned up with windows and doors but no glass pane for the door then didn't have the sills, organised to come another day then glass wasn't ready then said sills weren't on the order when they were.numerous phone calls to try and see what's happening honestly a JOKE SO DO NOT RECOMMEND. When mentioned it to manager they said was rare this happens what a total lie AVOID!!!

Scam company , avoid at any cost !!
Sales representative came with demonstration and all rubbish hard sell.
Payed deposit and we set the date 6 weeks or less to fit new door which they claim they buy from German factory. 5 months later no door no deposit back, rang them and they don’t know which door I ordered and I have to wait for closest available fitting day another 2 months.
They set fitting day and twice nobody turned up. Every time they give another date.
Scam avoid at any cost !! And don’t pay any deposit
Also did my research and the company changed name multiple times , that tells a lot

The Project from start to finish went like a dream from the sales rep to the final cleaning down of the site.
everything went so well, super work so we are very "Happy Customers"

This company is a scam. Employed this company to build a brick porch which consisted of foundations, brick both sides, a glass front and a pitch slate roof. They advised planning person was not needed and building control not needed. Half way through the build, planning was in fact needed and the current build was done by 2 window fitters who did not have a clue about building regs. The entire porch which was built was done wrong. The company came back and took down the build and left all materials in my garden and now are ignoring my calls and emails. This has been going on for 4 months. They get your money and run. Do not give this company any money up front. Almost £6000 out of pocket and I have a reckon of a garden and nothing to show for my money. Now needing to go legal with this which is such a hassle.

From the cold caller to sales rep to surveyor to fitters to office staff, everyone was brilliant, professional and friendly. The fitters did an amazing job. They cleaned up every night, turned up on time, worked hard and made sure the finish was outstanding, taking pride in their work. We are really pleased with the final product and the pricing.

Hard sales are a thing of the past, if a company is out door to door trying to get business by ramming an appointment for a quote down your throat then there is something a miss..

Engineering and technical specifications behind window production / type of glass all made clear by salesman Dale showing great expertise and keen to answer any questions asked. Fair price offered for a superb quality product. Fitter Mark carefully measuring up three replacement windows with accuracy. Fitter Cameron completing the installation to an extremely high standard. Very professional taking time to protect carpets cleaning up afterwards, being polite, friendly and courteous throughout. A credit to the company !

Very happy with them. First gentleman talked to me about the different windows and openers, how much each would cost. Gave me a fair price. The next one turned up on time to do the proper sizing of the windows and surrounds. Then on the day of the install two nice and polite gentlemen arrived. Got straight to work and left no mess when finished.

Installed new windows & doors at my property in Durham, messed around with install dates from the beginning, then when they went in there was numerous problems! Curtains/blinds moving with wind, windows with more condensation that what was replaced (which is the reason they were replaced & sold to us on that basis) - In the end complaints fell on deaf ears - even to the parent company Mackenzie & Moncur Limited. 12 months in & still the problems & the front door which they sold on the basis the lock is an Ultion lock which people can't get in through, special coded keys etc - even we couldn't as the key with it's special grooves got stuck in the door so a locksmith came out, removed it & said that is a waste of money! AWFUL COMPANY WHO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE CLOSED BUT WILL PROBABLY JUST START AGAIN IN A DIFFERENT NAME! STAY AWAY!

This is our second purchase with Smarthomes.
We had windows installed and have recently had a replacement door fitted.
On both occasions we have been delighted.
Excellent service from beginning to end.
Brilliant Teams who installed the windows and the door.
Very high workmanship,excellnt finish to a very high standard. No mess, very efficient, professional and lovely to deal with. They go above and beyond to deliver.
Highly recommend and will definitely use again in the future.Very happy Customer.

Worst company I have ever dealt with!!!!!

Installed windows and doors 07/03/22. Advised on the 09/03/22 there were issues with streaks in the glass, window sashes not aligned and a cat flap not fit for purpose!!!

I was also mis-sold finance.

It's now middle of october 22 and still the issues have not been resolved!!!

I've sent scores of emails, and made scores of phone calls. I've even had a visit from a manager regarding the finance issue, he promised to get it resolved and also offered £250 compensation.

The issues have not been resolved and guess what???? No cheque received - just radio silence.

I would not reccomend to my worst enemy.

My front door says no to Sales calls but still they knock on my door in Middlesbrough.Tries to state he is not a sales person when trying to hand me a leaflet. Did not take kindly to my objection, became arrogant and walked off.

Completely incompetent. Ordered an internal door in February, promised a surveyor would be out in a couple of week, No response! Rang office after 4 weeks, promised again. No response.Surveyor eventually arrived after another phone call. Two weeks later the sales manager arrived to sort out a query and promised he would order the door that day. Waited until the middle of June rang office and was told the door had not been order and would take 3 months to order and fit. it seems the customer support in the office were trying their best but the rest of the staff were copletely inept. I don't know how they can run a business!!! I asked for deposit back and cancelled the order. I would not recommend this company. Recieved my deposit last week.
