We had 10 solar panels fitted and a battery installed at the end of March 2023. The installation process took longer than planned and the team worked long into the evening then returned the next morning to complete the job. Really pleasant and tidy workers. We did have a few problems later on which I think were software issues but Solar Style sorted them out efficiently. We have been happy with the way the panels are working and have seen a real reduction in our energy bills.

Very efficient and quick diagnosis of problem which was fixed very quickly

Our panels & 2 batteries were installed back in March 2023 & we couldn’t be happier. We had researched what we wanted and when Stuart came out to give us a quote we were happy with all he proposed so signed up straight away. We were really impressed with the quick service and our system was actually fitted two weeks later. Everything went to plan with scaffolding fitted the day before installation and removed the following day. The installation team were amazing, obviously all knew exactly what they were doing, were sympathetic to the house, worked round the Christmas decorations in the attic and didn’t leave any mess. Right from day 1 the panels have worked really well and during the summer we were especially pleased with their performance. We have already referred friends to Solar Style and they have also used the company to have their system fitted.
Today (Jan 2024) we were phoned to see if everything was ok - it is but we had wondered about getting our batteries to charge using our cheap nighttime electricity especially during the winter so we can use the batteries whilst the solar isn’t creating so much. Jenny called us back straight away to say she’s got that organised from their end. Doubly happy now 🙂 Every time we’ve had dealings with anyone who works for Solar Style we’ve found them friendly, knowledgeable & efficient, what more can we say? 5 stars all round!

After a change of Modem and Wifi ran into difficulties connecting to the batteries. Help came in the shape of Wajid and what a gent. Nothing was too much trouble, and so much patience explaining and sorting out our problems. An absolute star. Thank you so much.

I found Wajid very helpful and it was easy to follow his instructions. He also gave us advice on how to maintain a better service from our solar panels in future. was so pleased we have finally got the product running correctly after waiting since August 21st.

Solar style have again come up trumps. I ordered an additional battery to add to my already effective system. The equipment was supplied and fitted in record time and has been performing excellently since. The technicians were clearly well qualified, worked without fuss and left no rubbish behind. THoroughly recommended!

The software update by Givenergy in August corrupted my dongle then caused my inverter to reset every 2 minutes and despite contacting them, their 'solutions' (i.e. me having to be physical tech support, reformatting the dongle, resetting the dongle) caused a complete corruption of the dongle and thus the reporting system. Then Givenergy said they were not responsible for rectifying the situation. Jenny from Solarstyle understood the problem and my frustration with Givenergy and worked very hard to obtain a new dongle and arrange for their engineers to visit. We finally have a system which reports all the electrical activity. Without her hard work, kindness and efficiency we would still be suffering from the problems caused by Givenergy. Good price, efficient installation, good product. Administrative processes need improvement - errors in paperwork, received unnecessary texts, some staff very knowledgeable other staff hopeless. I would still recommend but with those caveats.

I've tried over the past 10 days to have some one speak with me regards an issue I have with the installation. 12th Sep promised a return call; 18th Sep after hearing nothing I rang up and they had no record of my call on the 12th! Again promised that someone would call me back. Yesterday, 20th Sep I sent an email for a reply!
After sales service seems to be just a lip service!

The Representative, James, was polite and explained things patiently, there was no hard sell. The Surveyor was also polite and efficient. I was given an installation date which was much sooner that we would have imagined. Emily in the Solar Style office kept me regularly informed as to progress and provided a reliable point of contact. Emily was polite and helpful when I had questions. The scaffolding arrived (although they didn't bring enough on the first day) and the following day the panels arrived. The two electricians worked quietly and efficiently. Installation (of the panels on the roof) was completed by early afternoon. I got 10 panels, an inverter and two batteries. There were a few problems with integration into our existing (fairly old) electrical equipment, however, the electricians worked until it was resolved (7pm) and they tidied up after themselves. They also took the time to explain the system and the app. There have only been two things which prevented me from awarding 5 stars and they were 1) that I had been led to understand that bird guards came as standard when they actually 'extras' and they hadn't in fact been included on the contract which I signed. 2) the scaffolders had taken away the scaffolding sooner than they should have done and therefore even if I had decided to pay extra for the bird guards it would have been a big job to get the scaffolding back, so I just decided not to bother. Overall a swift and efficient service and everything is working well - now all we need is some sunshine!

I'm loathed to write this review but Solar Style have left me no choice (they haven't responded to the complaint I made over a month ago). Since paying for the panels we have had major issues; I'm a reasonable person and accept that problems arise but with this company there is no aftercare. Jennifer answers the phone and apologises politely every time we've been let down, but there is no action. Staff don't turn up and don't return calls, then they lie to cover for themselves and blame colleagues. They have also provided really bad advice at times (like where batteries should be located; yes, we've had to have ours moved since they were positioned incorrectly, so they couldn't work efficiently (though I found out from Fox, since SS wouldn't help); it took over 6 months for SS to move the batteries, and it only happened because I complained on a daily basis and demanded action. I could say so much more (sadly, all negative) but there isn't the space! Avoid this company at all costs. ***Edit*** response below is absolutely typical; it’s apologetic and sounds sincere, but no one has responded to the official complaint I lodged over a month ago, despite it going to 3 different employees, so when will the company actually respond?? They won’t. It’s just so frustrating and tiresome and repetitive. You’d think when a customer has had so many issues they’d really want to try and make things right, and I’ve given them so many opportunities before I wrote this review.

Solarstyle fitted panels over a year ago and it has been beneficial. The team were very efficient and pleasant. However, it was sometime later that I realised the pigeon netting had been inadvertently missed. It was not a problem at first but, this year, scores of pigeons were absolutely delighted to nest underneath. They made a terrible mess and noise! Thank you to Jenny on reception and the team who were again very pleasant and obliging in sorting it out. They took less than an hour to frighten the pigeons away and fit netting.

Great experience from start to finish. Solar Style was recommended to me by a friend and I had a very good experience with them. Stuart was great getting a quote to me quickly and helping me with all my hundreds of questions throughout the process. It was very reassuring that there were always people at the other end of the phone who did their best to keep us updated and making sure we were happy throughout. Well done and thank you to everyone at Solar Style who helped make this a very positive investment for us!

Had a great experience with all staff and fitting crew. They was polite and respectful. Any questions I had was always answered in reasonable time by James, Heather, and Leanne. Do ask questions though as I didn't no scaffolding was been fitted on the Friday for installation on the Monday until I asked. I even got upgraded panels from original quote dew to supply issues on the day. This was a bit unusual I found but after some research found the new panels looked and operated the same if not better. Thanks to all the team

I had issue setting up my MPAN with Octopus for feed in tariff.
Kerrie Lewis from Solar Style took up the task to help me. She did a great job with all the communications and got resolved - thank you so much

Initially when my panels were installed i had no help with setting up the app to check the panels were working ok. (To be honest, no one even mentioned it). After finding out about it I spoke to Jenny who over a number of days tried to resolve the problem. Then ended with an engineer visit. This was really good. He set up the app and system, explained exactly what to look for and how long I would have to wait until the system updated. He was very courteous and helpful. Answered all my questions and made sure that the system was doing what it was supposed to do. Would use this company again.

Fantastic service from start to finish.
Made initial enquiry, and appointment made for the first visit. Not pushy at all, just explained what system I could fit on my roof, what battery options they had, and then basically left alone to make my decision in my own time. I got 2 other quotes just to be sure - both other quotes were more expensive (one nearly double the price), and both a little too pushy for my liking.
After a little negotiation, deal was sealed and installation was complete a week or so later. Again, everything explained to me on the day, shown how it all works, smartphone app set up, and the installation team were friendly and left the place spotless. Only downpoint was the scaffolder took longer than I'd hoped to collect his scaffolding...but it wasn't causing harm - just the Mrs complaining really. Payment made and all certificates/warranties etc were with me a few days later.
I've already handed over one referral and got another 2 friends giving them a call soon.

Had 2 installations.first one no problems at all.2nd one was booked never heard anything for months so I contacted them and it urns out that order was placed but never processed. Once done no problems at all.

The electricians who installed storage battery were very good and left a neat and tidy installation.
Unfortunately the commissioning took longer than expected because they came without some vital components and had to return later to finish the job hence the 4 star review

Installation team scottish lads was brilliant:)very quick and proffesional,explained everything,have few jokes aswell:)deffo recomend this company if u need solar panels sorted👍
