Great Company. Very trustworthy. Bought a solid oak dining room table and 4 leather chairs for my daughter's new home. Unfortunately, corner of the table was damaged on arrival. Got back in touch with the Company and was told damaged table would be picked up and a new table would be delivered which it was.
The dining room set was great value for money. Very solid would last a lifetime. Everyone that sees it says it's great. Would not hesitate to recommend this Company to anyone, and they gave great customer service. Delivered when they said they would, and of course got the dining room set at a BARGAIN PRICE. I come across this website by accident to be honest and it turns out the showroom is 5 mins away from where I live. The showroom is massive to be honest and all the furniture is really well made. I bought an ex display/customer returned oak table for a really good price. The guy got it ready for me the next day when I collected. Friendly service, helpful and the price was perfect.

I just sold my old pine furniture for nothing on eBay and now my living room is empty. I live near a beach and there is not one furniture shop near my house. I found this place on google and outside its just a plain warehouse, but inside. Oh my god is the furniture lovely. Its a dream for me as I have been wanting to kit my living room out in oak for about 1 year now. My husband give me his credit card and let me buy everything. So, I did. Great furniture, great price and the credit card bill isn't that high. My husband is very happy. Thanks!

Chair leg was faulty. Called and was told the leg is a bad one and they will send another leg through the post. 1 week later I got the leg, my husband fit it and now the chair is ok. No problems at all with the company. You have one happy customer. Lovely table too. We may be back for a sideboard.

I ordered a sideboard and television stand, I stipulated that as they were going to be in the same room I would like the handles to be the same. This was agreed The handles I wanted were on the sideboard i just wanted them on the television stand as well. I was told it would take about three months. They took all the money up front this I was not happy with. After three months i rang them they said that as I had ordered the handles to be the same it would take a bit longer. How ridiculous it only needed the handles on one to be the same as the other one. They allready have the handles. The girl on the phone was not very helpful, each time I rang she said they had been delayed because of the handles. when it was eventually delivered about five months later the handles were not all the same. On top of that one handle was crooked and out of line. When I contacted the firm they did not want to know, I sent two letters of complaint they were ignored. If they had sent me the handles I would have fitted them. In the end I bought identical handles from another place and fitted them in ten minutes. The furniture is well made and as per description but I feel they did not keep to the bargain and the sloppy fitting of the crooked handle is unprofessional. I would not recommend them .

I am sorry I ever went near this company. They caused me an emense amount of aggravation and wasted my time. Their promises never amounted to anything even,after months, when I managed to speak to the Director. Appalling service. The Director was continually out of the country, in China and his managers seemingly had no authority to make any decisions. I received the wrong chairs after waiting 3 months and then had to wait a further 2 months to receive the ones I ordered (and then they used my debit card details to charge me for the 6 chairs I never wanted and used a different trading name when doing this. More time for me to sort this out at the bank! I eventually reported the company to trading standards. Stay away from Solid Oak Warehouse.

Saw what I wanted on line, phoned up to check out details, secured discount, prompt delivery within a week. Courteous staff at every stage including driver & delivery. Very pleased with the Brooklyn Large Reclaimed Oak table I bought along with leather dining chairs - looks great.

I bought a dining set from there showroom. I haggled a deal for a showroom table (which looked new) and 6 chairs. I got it for a great price and everything was delivered as they said. One of the chair legs were damaged. I emailed them a photo and they posted me a leg through the post.

No pushy sales people, great delivery service, good customer support... what more could i ask for? I even got a coffee while I waited in the showroom.

Superb service!

Bought set dining table & 6 chairs. When got home realised they had sold me 2 sets of 3 chairs. In showroom placed round table so not noticable. Didn't point this out when selling then said my fault for not noticing. Now in hands of small claims court. Seller refused to speak to Trading Standards.

I purchased a dining room suit last september when i recieved it the chairs werent what was advertised i requested an exchange which took over a month was promised it before christmas had to pick it up my self their was a difference in the price of £174 pounds we are nearly into march and i still havent received refund every time i phone up they say the accounts lady is not in the manager does not deal with the accounts so he cannot sent out refund i have had to get in touch with my bank as i payed by credit card they were really good they are going to deal with it this is the first time i have dealt with this company would not deal with them again if you do decide to purchase from them only use credit card that way you are covered through credit card company

I have finally received my complete order after 14 months of original order.
The CSM stuck to his word and I received my order, although the delivery time limit kept getting extended.
I would like to say a big thank you to the CSM after our numerous e-mails and other corresponence, we finally got there.
Also, the delivery guy was absolutely brilliant, he managed on his own lifting and packaging 2 heavy cupboards.

Used the company a while ago and they were spot on

Shame I had to give one star for the rating, I would not of given them any. Dreadful customer service, did not answer various emails and telephone mesages, staff dont know what they are doing. Delivery was days later than expected, I called well in advance to let them know that I was in a first floor flat so they would need an extra person to help carry the table upstairs - one person turned up and asked how he was meant to carry it on his own. I explained that my husband was at work and I would not be able to help carry a table weighing 50kg!! In the end I had to call a friend from work to come to my house and help. We were told we would also receive a free coffe table or side table with our order, this never came i chased for months afterwards and never heard anything.

Over the moon with my table and 6 chairs. I didn't like the first chairs in the flesh and these were exchanged with no problems. My side board is solid and well made and will last forever, just like the table. However, customer service only really matters when things go wrong and solid oak warehouse excelled here too. When one of the fixings on a chair became loose and pulled out from the leg and splintered it a new leg was sent out to replace it with in 5 days.
Buy with confidence and enjoy your furniture, you will get asked where you got it from by your friends.

Do not believe any promises made about delivery. They are either totally incompetent or dishonest. You can form your own view of which..

The trustpilot standard form insists I need to designate a minimum rating of 1 star otherwise it would be no stars.

They promised 10 to 12 weeks delivery when we ordered in Feb 2010. 90% of our furniture was delivered after 20 weeks. The furniture was high quality and we were satisfied with the product but not the waiting. 54 weeks later we are still awaiting delivery of 10% of our order. The Managing Director will not reply to my letters. We are now told this could take another 12 weeks or so which would take delivery to 66 weeks. We have been made numerous promises by well being junior staff but absolutely nothing happens. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Who knows whether the furniture will ever turn up.

We were moving into a new house which had no bedroom furniture. We were moving from a house with all fitted furniture and so we decided to invest in desks, sideboard, a number of wardrobes and draw packs all from Solidoak. The furniture we looked at in the showroom was high quality and we were told it would take 10 weeks to order. That was the first week in Feb 2010. This was not a small order but was worth in total about £8k.

So our recommendation is if you are in the same situation please do yourself a favour and buy somewhere else.

I ordered a long oak sideboard and paid with a credit card for the protection it offers as you can't be too careful when buying large items online. I then received my order number and was told to wait 6 to 8 weeks for delivery as I think manufacture happens outside of the UK. Maybe it was impatience on my part but midway during this time I tried to check on how the order was progressing but I found it difficult to get an answer easily and sent various emails to a gmail address, which didn't fill me with confidence. Anyway it all worked out and when the sideboard was delivered, in around the stated timescale, it was great and I was happy with it and the price. So my thoughts are that the company should provide status updates on the order, maybe by email or through a website where you can enter your order number and see how things are progressing. For me this would have helped bridge what seemed like a black hole between order and delivery.

Initially customer service was OK although agent got the information wrong more than once. But then having promised a delivery date they called to say that this wasn't possible and we re-arranged. Then an item that was being made to measure and was promised in 12 - 14 weeks took 24 weeks and Solid Oak Warehouse were not able to deliver to the required address as the delivery policy had changed and they would not longer deliver there at the weekends despite having asked for a weekend delivery with the first items. I then offered them a work address in London and they said they could only deliver to London at weekends; so no delivery to one part of the country at weekends and only weekend deliveries to London. Given I work in London and live in the other location this made it very difficult.
They were very unhelpful, told me that it was my problem and that if I couldn't find an address where they could deliver then I wouldn't receive the item at all and as it was made for me I could not get a refund.
The product was good but I would never order from them again as the service was awful.

Furniture quality is excellent and was protected well on delivery. The furniture needed to be chased as dates came and wentr with little notification from them if any.

Would I buy again? ....Yes

I had a look on the high street and found the solid oak tables were in fact MDF and Oak veneer, not exactly solid oak. The price was also in the thousands. Crazy. I went to Solid Oak Warehouse and their tables were actually Solid Oak and the sales person asked me to try and lift one because real oak is heavy. Well, I tried to lift it, but it was extremely heavy and definitely not MDF or Veneer so I was sold. I bought a table, sideboard and took it away the same day. I actually work in the wood industry and have access to large van so paid and took everything 20 mins later. Brilliant service and thanks for helping to carry everything to the van.
