I went to buy some costumes for my kids at the spirit in arlington texas in arbrook street the manager was the best. She helped my kids find everything they needed and was so nice. I think her name was Tanya. I would go back agian and have told all my friends and family to go there. The staff was the best and the store was so clean and big.
good halloween store but i mainly want to complain about them begging for donations. they ask (very strategically) “How much are you willing to donate?” then regardless if you donate or not they ask “would you like to round up to donate” which is bs. we have gone a couple times in the last couple weeks and they ask each time. we donated the first time but they ask twice no matter what. super obnoxious and desperate.

This company is absolutely insane. Purchase at your own risk. The refund policy does not exist. I tried to return items with the receipt and the store supervisor refused because my receipt didn’t match the number to my card because we paid with Apple Watch. The store manager literally made me to exchange the items. I left the store and called the customer service and the told me to call back next day because the regional manager didn’t pick up her phone. I called next day and they told me since you exchanged the items now we can’t refund . This is absolutely unacceptable! You make me exchange for stuff that I didn’t need and then you say since you exchanged we can’t refund ! I will never come back to this place and will make sure the review is current at all times. I will also file a consumer complaint. This company and people who work there and I mean the manager of the store absolutely need more training on how to deal with customers. She was absolutely rude and unprofessional.

Placed a pickup order on 10/12, website said it should be ready for pick up the next day. It is now the 17th and no new on when the item can be picked up. The order still says processing. I have tried calling the store and got a automated message that says this store does not take calls. I called customer service and never got a human. I tried and online chat and after 2 hours on hold for a live person was disconnected because no live people were available to take my chat. I did see in one of the posts on this website there was a customer service email, I plan to try that as my last-ditch attempt to cancel this order at this time. I have already ordered the item from a different store and received the costume. I will never buy or order from a Spirit Halloween store online again after this experience with the lack of communication and customer service.

after placing my order on 09-24-23, i read on the website i placed this order on, ships within 3 business days..i receive the item 19 days later, now with this being too late, i choose to make a return and i am expected to pay the shipping fee for the mistake and misleading this establishment caused. so now i am paying for it to be shipped to me and returned, I had also tried calling to speak to someone about this matter and was told, there would be a 2-3 hour wait time to speak to someone. There is something very shady about this place, and i would not recommend doing any purchase from them. ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Placed an order online called with a few hours to cancel said order due to having the item at the store with free shipping instead of the 50 bucks they were charging was told my order was canceled instead they still shipped it can only return in store till the 23rd oh but wait it won't be here in time imagine that so I have to pay to ship it back and will not be refunded for any of the shipping payed either way so I am out well over 100 dollars either way I will never ever ever recommend there website ever

Ordered a few items online on Sept 21st I have still not received it, called customer service they said they show it was delivered to contact the post office. Called back advised post office said they had no knowledge of this, they then told me I would need to file a police report bc that means my package was stolen. I said that I would do that and send it to my bank so that I could get my money back, lady said that I would not get my money back because their end showed it was delivered. I demanded to see the proof of delivery they never responded. Also a day after I placed my order I got 3 fraudulent charges on my credit card

Received damaged order that was crushed in the mail due to improper shipping packing. You can't ship plastic items in an envelope and expect them to not get crushed. They do not refund shipping cost. Now I have to re-order the item and pay the extra shipping. Of course, there is the option to exchange it at the store, but that defeats the purpose of online shopping and there is a chance they won't have the same item in the store. In this circumstance shipping cost should be waved, or the item should be replaced at no cost to the customer. The packing means was out of my control. I will be less likely to buy online again.

I purchased a glitter and gem makeup kit for a party only three days ago. However, when I opened the glitter gel, it was completely solid and useless. I went into the store from which I purchased, explaining the product was defective and that I'd just like to exchange it for one that was not. After speaking with two people claiming they were managers, I was refused the exchange because the product was opened--but how would I know the product was defective UNLESS I opened it?
I've managed retail before, so I understand the general return policies to be able to refund money for items that are resalable only, but this is just awful customer care and a completely absurd return/exchange policy. Not only was my product defective, but if I had to guess, it's likely other like items on the shelf are also defective and should be removed from the shelf altogether as well.
After this in-store experience, with little hope, I contacted the corporate 800-number, and I was told the same thing. The takeaway: 1) do NOT buy makeup at a Spirit Halloween EVER and 2) corporate greed wins again.
Update: Spirit Halloween requested I reach out to resolve the issue, which I have since done and have yet to receive a response after over a week later.

Never received the items purchased ,which was well over a month a go that I placed the order .. even though tracking says the the items have been delivered which is absolutely not the case! Contacted customer services via the email address and was advised my items have been delivered and if they haven’t to contact my local post office service , which I have and they have no record of this! Total scam if you ask me and since I have emailed to state this is the case , I have received no reply since. So disappointed , don’t waste your money

This company is definitely a scam artist! I purchased a costume and the zipper on the costume was broken. I called customer service to let them know as I was going to need to send it back. They said I could send it back but I would need to pay shipping cost to send it back. I told them I should not be responsible for shipping charges to send the costume back as I would not be sending it back if it was not damaged. The customer service representative asked that I send pictures of the damaged zipper so that they could send me a prepaid label. I did and then received got an email indicating that I could send it back but I would need to pay for shipping it back. That is poor customer service!

Wish i could give zero stars....SCAM...bought a dagger mike...they sent it and i owe 25.38 in shipping when shipping was included....no one answers the phone, pay with a credit card like i did...i will dispute the charges and wont pay for this junk from this scam sh!thole company....they have ZERO AND I MEAN ZERO customer service and the store is even worse....never again...i am in the retail business and have far reaching contacts and influence....it will cost them plenty in the long term

I order a few things online and cause my order got split up into two shipments, they charged my card twice for one of the shipments. When I called and emailed them they said they need screen shots to prove they double chaged me. If I can see that they double charged me, then they can see it on their end that they double charged me. I know how accountanting works!! They are giving a BS answers!!! I went to my bank and they even see the double charge and they even said " if we can see it, they have to see it on their side also". They are horrible to work with. I WILL NEVER buy anything online with then EVER AGAIN!!!!!

BEWARE online orders! Ordered a costume for my son, came in a crappy bag and was broke, ordered a size medium and they sent an Exta-large. Online it states you can exchange in store. Went to the store to exchange it, and there is a current price difference between online and instore. I was told I could exchange in store but only if I paid the difference. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!

The management and employees at the Martinsburg, WV store were so amazing in helping me find and purchase what I needed. The store looked amazing as well! I have recommended to everyone I know to go and shop at this location only just because of how friendly and helpful the management and staff were, especially the Assistant Manager Matt and Store Manager Susan. I have been to the other locations and this one is by far the best one EVER!!! 5 ⭐ 's!!!!Keep up the awesome job guys!!!!
