Ordered product on a Friday, it was delivered the following Monday, unfortunately no tracking information was provided and it was delivered to dealer rather than me due to courier error. Obviously initial communication was missing, courier made a mistake and I knew nothing until contacting customer service on the Wednesday. However very pleased with the speed of resolution by customer service and even courier explained his error when product eventually delivered to me on Friday. Overall Stihl did well to resolve the issue.

Bought a lawnmower RMA235 yesterday at Altons, assembled it, wheel clip was faulty, supposed to be pre-assembled, wheel flew off during use.

Really disappointed with my Stihl RT 5127 ZL ride-on mower. I purchased it less than three years ago and it’s only done 41 hours, yet I’ve had nothing but issues.
The battery doesn’t hold charge, belts have already snapped, and most recently the blades are intermittently not spinning at all—which makes it pretty unreliable when you actually need it. For a machine at this price point, I expected far better durability and performance.
What’s frustrating is that I did my homework before buying and chose Stihl because of their reputation for quality.
On a positive note, I also own a Stihl split shaft multi-tool with various attachments, and that has been absolutely outstanding—reliable, powerful, and exactly what I expected from the brand.
Unfortunately, my experience with the ride-on mower has been the complete opposite.

After an eternity of umming and Rrring looking at all my options on a extendable hedge trimmer I plumbed for a Sthil Battery 86 HLA.£700 (excl battery) is trust me alot of money for me from my local Horsham dealer in Town. The very last thing I expected was a fault after only a max of 10 working hours of use. But everybody has a Sthil I saw and here I am with the industry's
No 1 dependable ?? make not working because a sensor or wiring is cutting it out on its adjustable elbow joint.
So off I have to trot with my dysfunctional Hedge trimmer.... COULD this be a reoccurring issue ? after reading some online reports....NB....so fingers crossed I maybe back to work when rectified.
Fixed by Dealer,so will report on later.

Just bought a Stihl RMA248.3 cordless lawnmower. Robust, simple to adjust and just a pleasure to use. Time will tell but certainly extremely pleased with my purchase.
the updated 5 stars go to dan in customer service for listening to my concerns with professionalism concerning a past machine breakdown issue.after taking everything into consideration we agreed to disagree on certain issues out of his control.however after some (long winded persuasion) he decided to reward my long standing loyalty to the brand.the battery side of the industry is still developing massively but because it hasn't got robustness & power of the petrol equivalents its giving Stihl unwanted negative reviews.but hopefully they'll get it right.im still a fan overall.thanks dan

garden vacuum and blower. I bought this primarily because it was a Sthil as I have a few of their products. I am a 68 year old woman and this machine is totally unuserr friendly. You need a tool to press on a lever that frees up the blower and vacuum pipe. However, Sthil no longer provide the tool so that is the first problem. The transition from blower to vacuum is a two man job and requires quite a bit of physical know how. This proved way too difficult for me. It is totally unuser friendly, awkward to handle, very difficult transitions, correct tool not provided, not the strongest of casing and overall a regretful purchase. My advice would be DO NOT BUY if you don't have help to rely on. What a cumbersome, ill thought out design by one of the industry leaders.

What an egotistic company. Their customer service is rude on top of an attitude problem. Like many others, very disappointed. Although the machine quality is satisfactory, they aught to work on the human element, whereas at the moment. They might as well be robots. Rude robots at that. Obviously been programmed to be rude. Even their dealers have problems in communicating. thing is. Stihl does think that there is anything wrong with how they treat people. They should look at the reviews. But even with this, they won't think that they are doing anything wrong, so it must be the reviewer. which makes them. egoistic. shame that i have to give a one star rating
