I bought a bag of this yesterday & used some to top up existing pots, it has a strong aroma, it absolutely stinks, I thought something had died in the shed. I won’t be using the rest of the bag.

Really has transformed my soil also mixed it with last years compost and it has transformed the old material used it last year and the soil that I blended it with now looks better than ever

Purchased this soil conditioner compost…
Purchased this soil conditioner compost from home base and it has transformed my borders my clay dry soil; has come to life after I blended it in with this product tried other soil conditioners but nothing has worked as good as this.

Glass, killed worms, terrible smell
Hugely regret buying the Peat free compost. I found a piece of glass in it, lots of plastic and it smells terrible - like manure although I believe it’s made from recycled green waste from people’s recycling bins - but most worryingly the next day I found a lot of dead worms in the compost. I’ve now got the task of removing the compost from my raised beds as there is no way I’m planting anything in it.

Hi, yes it’s the SupaGrow Peat Free Organic compost. Purchased from Homebase. They were very helpful as I returned 2 bags I hadn’t opened and I showed them photos of the glass, plastic and dead worms. I’ll see if I can upload photos to this website.

Hi Julie are you sure this is our product we only bags sell soil conditioning compost this is to be used to mix into the ground to improve difficult to work soil , dug into your raised beds you will have amazing results the nitrogen is designed to bring dead soil back to life the bags do say soil conditioner

Bought 4 bags of the organic compost…
Bought 4 bags of the organic compost from Homebase and 4 bags of the topsoil. Both on 4 for £10 deals.
I have dug the organic compost into my borders and it has been great used the topsoil for a few rolls of turf and went down lovely 😎

This product really is amazing we dug…
This product really is amazing we dug the soil conditioner into our dense clay soil and it has totally transformed the soil , purchased from HomeBase and would have to say this is the best that we have had and at 4 bags for £10.00 feel like we have swam the channel

The smell will be due to the heat the bags are in during these weathers, once the product has been laid, please be assured the smell will go and be a great addition for growth.
