I got their Brochier in the mail and called. The sales Rep Xavier Calahan told me the factoring rate was 3% so I decided not to do it because I saw other companies charge 2% , but then he said Tafs would get me a trailer for $5 -$10/day which I thought was a great deal, so I decide to pay the higher factoring rate than other companies offer because the money I would be saving on a trailer would outweigh the loss on the factoring rate. After I was in the contract, I called Tafs about getting a trailer and they gave me a number to call, (they wouldn't tell me the number until after I signed the contract) and the person there would not rent me trailer, stating that they have not rented trailers for 2 years. So Xavier lied and therefore the contract is null and void. I would take Tafs to court except I didn't record the call so I can't prove anything that was said. He also said that Brokers take 30 days to pay which is a 1/2 truth and a whole lie. Over 80 brokers use triumph pay which means you can get paid in 1 day for usually a 2.5% fee. Most of the brokers who don't use triumph pay have their own quick pay options.
So then I was locked into a 1 year contract with a 50% higher rate than I was going to have, with no benefit. Great.
The actual factoring experience with Tafs was good, if you think waiting 2 business days to get paid and having problems with 30% of your invoices is good! If I submit my paperwork after 12:00pm Central time on Friday, I don't get paid until Tuesday Morning! Numerous times I was stuck sitting unable to make money because I couldn't afford fuel. Their 1 hour advance cost $25 and then you have to pay fees to use it and you don't get any discounts you would otherwise have with other companies. One time I had a broken alternator in 23 degrees, and I had to sit all night in that because they can't get my money to me, I submitted the day before. And you can forget about the 1-hour advance option because it's 9 o clock at night and my bank doesn't open until 8am.
Their app has little value because when you submit a POD, it changes it to black and white, so any gray just vanishes. When they review the POD, they'll say they can't read it and then you will have to re-submit and pay a new transaction fee if you had other invoices in that batch and wait another business day to get paid. I had this issue on about 30% to 50% of invoices. It sure is nice to work directly with brokers now and not have anyone say "your paperwork is not clear"
The reason they lock you in for a year is because no one would stay for over a month if given the choice. Don't even get me started on getting out of the contract. They auto-renew you unless you submit written notice 90-120 days prior to the end of the contract, during which time you will go back into auto re-new status if you submit any invoices that have not already been paid to Tafs by the broker.
About a week before the contract ends, they will email you saying, among other things, that prior to getting you a letter of release, all unpaid invoices must be paid to Tafs, which they were and had been since 8-6. It was 9-3 at this point and my contact was set to end on 9-10 at midnight. It took them until 4 days after the contact had ended to open my account and see that the balance was 0 and send me the letter of release. So I can't buy fuel for 4 days because I was planning on those payments being mailed to me on the 12th, not the 17th. They delayed all my payments for 4 days because it takes them forever to read one number. That makes a total of 10 days of missed work because of them. That is the thanks I get for giving them about 4k in factoring fees, 3 months of which the funds were not even factored because I had to wait until they got paid first! And they have the nerve to refer to me as a valued client. I'm not valued, I'm a sap to them, meant to help them with their agenda.
Now I will take home about $210 more per week not to deal with these clowns. Things are now the way they should have been all along if there was no such thing as lies.

Hey guys do not do business with TAFFS they stole 2500.00 from me, they said they sent it to the wrong carrier by mistake and that it is my responsibility to get it back from that carrier, and this is not the only problem I had with TAFFS there have been other instances of them stealing money also, beware they will ruin your business!

I just signed a contact that takes more than 2 weeks in The process, I was told that I was going to be founded next day after submitting paperwork, it’s been a week and I haven’t been lucky enough to see any money. Please go somewhere else, I wish a had never signed with this company.

Another notice...if u want to grow ur company and u start running for any landstar affiliate, tafs charges and extra fee on top of everything else od 3.75 per rc. As if they are not bad enough they tickle an dime the drivers and landstar claims to know nothing about this fee. Irregardless it is do past the point of needing to get away from this company...Maria was rude from beginning to end an I tried to be nice an just get an explanation for the extra fee. She claimed it has always been this way but when I told her we hauled for them In msy with no fee, she claimed oh it's in there but it's not and I have proof. If these people are taking they are lying ...PLEASE DONT SIGN WITH TAFS, IT WILL BE YOUR WORST MISTAKE EVER!!! Feel free to contact me directly if in doubt. They delete my # an email but if u wanna talk just post on this thread an will figure something out as I have all the proof including recorded phone calls of these rude,lying contradicting people.

One thing for sure Nikki in fuel department gonna come through every time. Outstanding on calling you back making sure that you are squired away with everything you need. Nikki has been a life saver to me an TAFS should be lucky to have her. Nikki make being with TAFS so much better an understanding. Any trouble CALL NIKKI!!!

I have been with TAFS for just under a year now, in a word, NIGHTMARE. I submit invoices to them and they reject them for wrong postal code at least once every 6 weeks, I then resubmit the invoice without changing anything and then it’s processed.
It takes a 90-120 day notice of termination to cancel your contract with them. As a small business it pains me every time they play this game with me.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, ever. This is the absolute worst customer experience that I could ever get.

This is the worst Factoring company…
This is the worst Factoring company ever they will wait until the last minute to fund your money unless you pay them $25 they literally make you do they work they send one email to the broker if the don’t respond you are on your on you will have to reach out to the broker your self they have so many extra charges they will charge a fuel commitment charge what’s bs I have been with them for four years with the same rate. How loyal can I be ? Nobody have reached out to me for a better rate seeing that I’m a loyal customer they don’t care and the worst thing is the way they make feel like you’ve been cheated. I’m paying them. I shouldn’t feel like that I’m getting cheated out my money. I do not recommend these people for nobody. The salesman do not tell you everything. He should tell you when they trying to get your business they automatically renew your contract if you don’t request cancellation in time like the are trying to trap and lock another year plus they charge 1500 to cancel the contract early . I do not recommend these people for nobody. . I hate the feeling that I feel having TAFS for my factory company please stay far away from TAFS

Don't sign anything with them, don't make a deal, don't work with them. They licked me almost everywhere until I signed the deal. Then it's a disgrace, no customer service, no professionalism, they are lazy and incompetent, they don't have their own resources and they use another company's (Chinese) money, they may also be stealing my identity, I'm trying to get out even though I didn't do anything. Damn amateurs.

I must admit, ever since Kelsey was assigned to our account, we have not had any problems.
