Appalling service. Very poor communication. Took weeks to get an update and in the end we cut our losses and went with a different solicitors. Our caseworker was rarely available on the phone and their lack of response to enquiries caused long delays and the loss of our purchase. Do not use!

I had an excellent experience with Fiona from the Worcester office whilst selling a house. From start to finish, she was professional, efficient and supportive throughout the entire process. Fiona was quick to respond to questions/concerns, which really helped things move along quickly.

Renna and Samena were very professional and communicated efficiently in handling my mortgage processes.

Poor communication. Took weeks to get an update. 90% of the time your caseworker is not available on the phone. Emails responded only when they returned from sickness or holiday. Late response to enquiries and caused long delays. Basically worst nightmare came true when using Talbots as your conveyancer.

Talbots law took care of the sales of our house and the purchase of our new property we were looked after by abigail compson who was on hand through every step for reassurance and guidance! And she kept a calm and reassuring council when things got a little tricky with negotiation on completion everything went smoothly and quickly we both were really pleased with how Talbots law and abigail dealt with us we would highly recommend their firm

Talbots are just quite simply the most excellent solicitors. They have now sold three properties on my behalf and every one was smoothly and efficiently dealt with. Special thanks to James Gwilliams and Eden Powis. They are just top class solicitors who I couldn't fault in any way.

Talbots were recommended by our estate agents and whilst our chain was long and complex which I know is not a fault of Talbots I found their communication (when they finally responded) to be so poor and constantly reactive, with us having to chase for an update and nothing proactive coming from them at all and when we did understandable chase for an update we got what I thought was quite rude / sharp responses with little empathy for our situation.

Never answered the phone when tried to call them, even to double check bank details and the like, just always went to voicemail.

Their App/Portal is quite frankly a complete waste of time. It never got updated throughout the chain lifecycle and even upon completion it still said we needed to submit documents, searches and the mortgage offer was still awaited, if this was updated better it might have meant we would not have needed to chase for updates here in reality the portal tracker is just pointless.

Tried to charge us twice for searches, and it took us to point out we had already paid for these, then sent us a seperate invoice for an extra amount they had missed off previously when we thought everything was settled.

Overall, I know buying a house is a long process but the whole point is your conveyances are supposed to help and make this process less stressful, I felt Talbots did little of that if anything added to the stress with lack of responses and no proactivity so I would definitely give them a wide birth in the future.

2 stars because they did their job, albeit badly and charged a fortune for the privilege.

Jonathan and Caroline at the Kidderminster office have been fantastic during our sale and purchase. There was never a need to chase them for an update, we were kept fully informed throughout and the process was entirely stress free. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Talbots Law, especially Rachel Aspinall and Ethan Freeman. Due to personal circumstances I was overseas when I had to sell my house in the UK, which was very stressful. Rachel and Ethan were amazing, professional, efficient and supportive. They helped make the process as smooth as possible, despite a few hiccups with buyer issues and kept me informed every step of the way.
