Do NOT believe the 5 star reviews, they are fake. Marc Bear has taken £000's of pounds from me and other customers. He has ceased trading with Launceston and set up another company SOUTH WEST TIMBER where he will no doubt do the same to many others. He has multiple CCJ's against him owing ten's of thousands.

I ordered an external door from Launceston which finally came 5 months late and is very poor quality. The timber joints are pulling apart with wide gaps at each corner. The lock doesn't line up and we can't close the door and the glazing is pulling out of it's case so you can feel the edge of the glass with your fingers.

It's a criminally bad door.

Would NOT recommend.

We are now pursuing Marc legally through the Small Claims Court.

4 sections of oak, they arrived in good order and look to be just what the doctor ordered.

Good value and quality product. The guy who delivered our wood was very friendly and helpful and arrived when he said he would.

I had struggled to find a sawmill able to supply the large beam of Douglas fir, but LTC were able to be supply exactly what I needed.

Needed a side gate and while there are plenty of options here in Reading, a friend in Tavistock suggested the Launceston Timber Co. And I am very happy to have chosen them. The website is well done and getting a very kind and lovely girl on the phone was simple. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for and even gave some great suggestions, I believe her name was Gemma? Don't quote me in my old age. Well the gate arrived and it is grand, simple but stands out well. The oak is solid and I know it'll outlast me, the hardware is nothing to write home about but it'll do all the same. They even offer an install option but I had a few local lads help put it up and it was very simple. This is one lumber mill that treats it's customers as customers. Before you go anywhere else make sure to give them a call.

Upon my telephone enquiry I found Jade to be extremely helpful and polite. It was good to have a friendly person on the phone.

As expected. Easy to work with the LTC to understand my requirements, quote, order and deliver. Communication from the office is always on par, and as expected. If you have bespoke Wood requirements, then LTC is a great place to go.

The LTC has gone above and beyond! The quality of the wood is the best I've seen with great prices to match it. Marc kindly went through the quote prices with me and what woods would be the best for what I need. He was incredibly helpful and supportive and went out of his way to help me. The guys have worked hard and I've got exactly what I needed. Thank you guys!
