Timber Door Canopies by George Woods Reviews

We needed to replace some barge boards and as we have a Victorian house we wanted something a bit more ornate, there was a good selection to chose from. It took a little while to come through but that was okay apart from they weren’t long enough even though we specified the lengths, contacted Abi, who was a great help and she organised for replacements and a collection. The replacements arrived and unfortunately two of the four ends look like they were damaged In transit and one of the ornate parts had been damaged too, however, as the ends will need to be cut and they’ll be high up I don’t think you’ll notice the damage on the decorative part. Still given a four as Abi was fantastic throughout.

The product was very well made and they look great under my canopy

Always use George Woods for our gallows brackets, quick efficient service and if any problems they will attend to it quickly and with no fuss...highly recommend

Good to deal with. Good product, well priced. Excellent dispatch and delivery times.

Excellent product. Looks really nice. Just need to give thought to weatherproofing the top - either felt or rubber.

I dealt with Abi Mumford by email throughout the ordering and delivery process. Her communication at the point of order and subsequent delivery arrangements were first class.I felt like a valued customer and that I was in safe and capable hands. I ordered a Filcombe canopy for our front door and a Gittisham canopy with bespoke brackets for our rear door. Both were delivered on time and well protected and were exactly as specified. I highly recommend this company, their communication skills and the quality of their products. We are over the moon with how both canopies enhance our traditional cottage and have already received many compliments. A huge thank you to the team.

Abi supplies the house builder I work for with porches amongst other things. She is always professional in her communication. All items are always well packaged and made to a high standard. Would thoroughly recommend to anybody in need of timber canopies and barge boards.

Beautiful door canopy, really well made.
Very helpful when I phoned to ask a few questions.
We’ve had lots of very positive comments from neighbours and passers-by!

Outstanding service from start to finish. I needed an ornate bargeboard for a porch renovation. There was a good choice of designs. My order was dispatched quickly and I was kept upto date with tracking. The packaging protected the barge boards so they reached me in perfect condition. When I unpacked them and saw them for the 1st time, I couldn't wait to see them in place.

The gallows brackets exceeded my expectations, well made and great design. Delivered quickly without any hassle too. Will buy again from this company without hesitation.

Happy with what I bought, delivered in good time. Great communication and helpful when I called them to find out when it would be delivered. Would recommend!

What a fantastic company. Nothing was too much for Abi and her team. From the initial enquiry to a couple of changes to priming the canopy and delivering on time, faultless. I would recommend every time.

We use George Woods all the time for various joinery items and bespoke porches. Their service is excellent, always quick with a response and goes far beyond any other supplier in terms of helpfulness. Their prices very reasonable.
