I have nothing but amazing things to say, I had my surgery in August 2024 & it was the best decision I could have made & have now reached my weight loss target. I had support and conversations even during my decision process, and then even more amazing support during and after surgery. They have kept in contact throughout each step & checked in with me on a regular basis, I would 100% recommend.

I had my gastric sleeve with TONIC on 18th September 2025 and although not much time has passed, I can honestly say I am beyond impressed. My first point of contact was with my Patient Co-ordinator Melissa, who answered every question I had, calmed my fears and guided me every step of the way until surgery day. To say I felt supported is an understatement. My surgeon Mr Adamo again clearly informed me of what to expect and was lovely to meet in person. The abundance of information that I received from Tonic left me in no doubt how to manage each stage of my journey and 3 weeks after LRD and 11 days post surgery, I have lost 12kg, which feels amazing. My only regret in this whole process is that I didn’t do this sooner!! I highly recommend TONIC to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Tonic. Right from the first contact they were very helpful and upfront about everything. I was given all the information I needed to choose the right procedure and hospital and even surgeon. They even evaluated me psychologically to make sure I would be able to cope.
The operation went brilliantly, and I had absolutely none of the problems or side effects that some people have.
Tonic were in contact with me every day for the first week and gradually tailed it down to once a month. There is a five year support system that gives me access to nutritional , mental health and exercise advice and I can contact Tonic themselves with any questions I have. There is even a Facebook support group.
I am very glad I chose Tonic and would recommend to anyone looking to have bariatric surgery.
(At the other end of the scale,14 months after being referred to the nhs ....my file has yet to be even looked at.)

Booking in was easy with Tonic. I talked to people who understood how I felt and they could offer me real life experience into what to expect. This made me feel confident and knew that the aftercare provided would help me succeed.

I had a consultation with my consultant Mr Awad who was very knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. He was able to answer my questions and was able to give me all the information I needed to feel comfortable with the procedure and more importantly expectations after surgery.

When I got to the hospital, everything was professional and I felt looked after. I had my surgery August 2025, so it’s still early days for me. The aftercare so far has been great. No question is a stupid question and the team are very easy to contact.

My only personal regret is not doing this sooner.

had my surgery with Tonic on the 15th of July, and I can honestly say the whole experience has been life changing. When I first started speaking with them, I was over 28 stone. Today, I’m down to 21 stone and still on my journey, but I finally feel like I have a future to look forward to.

From the very first call I felt safe, comfortable, and completely supported. The team at Tonic have been nothing short of amazing. After surgery I was called every single day to make sure I was okay, and that level of care gave me so much peace of mind. Everything has been straightforward, professional, and reassuring from start to finish.

At just 28 years old this has been the best decision I could have made for myself. People might look at the process or the cost and think it’s too much, but I can promise you it’s worth every penny. Tonic truly go above and beyond, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I've had two amazing experiences with Tonic; the first in 2022 when I had my gastric sleeve and the second this year when I had an FDL tummy tuck. Both times were fantastic from initial consultation to the aftercare I cannot fault the team they were there every step of the way. Layla was AMAZING when I first enquired about my tummy tuck - the total opposite of pushy and no question I had was too much. You'd think once you're all booked in that would be it then with a smooth handover to the nurses team for the daily check ins post surgery but no, Layla was still there checking in reassuring and lovely as always and then checking in after surgery to see how I'm doing. Now onto the nurses- Rebecca and June and all of the ladies (apologies I can't remember everyone's names) are fabulous and refreshing when you're in the midst of omg what did I do (which is quite normal in that first week or so!) and they need medals for the amount of poop talk they must go through when checking in on patients (I've practically memorised the questions now!). The psych care after was also super helpful in allowing my head to catch up with my physical body along with Harry's guidance with the exercise element. For my tummy tuck I was a little wary about travelling to Manchester as opposed to a closer hospital in Leeds but it was the support and aftercare of tonic from my gastric sleeve surgery that sealed the deal as that wasn't something that the local hospital offered and it is without a doubt the best for a worry wart like me! Thanks team!

I had my gastric sleeve in November 2023. Every question I have had pre surgery, recovery and during maintenance (over 12m stable weight now!) has been answered quickly and professionally. I have recommended tonic to many friends and family. I have also recently had an extended tummy tuck with lipo and a breast lift. Again Layla, Professor Hindocha, Nurse Rebecca have been nothing short of amazing. Nothing is ever too much and I would without a doubt recommend tonic cosmetic too.

I had a great experience getting weight loss surgery with Tonic in London. They stood out during my research of providers because they made the process so easy and provided really useful materials and resources to help make my decision. My surgeon and hospital were both great, felt really comfortable and at ease throughout and had no complications or issues whatsoever. The aftercare was better than I expected - a nurse, Rebecca, called me every single day for 2 weeks and then once a week for a few weeks after that. It was so so helpful to have the same contact throughout and to be able to ask questions and follow up with someone who knows the process inside out. I can still reach out via email if I have any questions at 9 weeks post-op and feel really comfortable that the support is there if you need it. I have also had multiple check ups with the dietician and a call with a personal trainer. I saw some reviews that the aftercare wasn’t great - that has not been my experience at all and they exceeded my expectations. Overall, the service was really great and I’m so pleased with my choice to go with Tonic.

I had my surgery at Oaklands hospital under Mr Alkafhaff in June. The process was faultless and the aftercare has been tremendous, even without face to face aftercare appointments. Emails and queries are answered quickly, sometimes within minutes.

I had gastric sleeve surgery with Tonic Surgery at Derby Private Hospital, and Dr Awad. From my very first interaction they were very helpful and reassuring. It took me about 8 months from my first call before I made the decision to book and during that time they weren't pushy or chasing me. They provided me with so much information both before and after surgery to ensure I was supported and fully informed, and the nurse team were so responsive when I called with questions.

I did lots of research before deciding to have surgery and everywhere suggested Tonic were one of the best UK companies for bariatric surgery, and through my experience I have to agree they have been excellent.

Having been terrified about the procedure I was supported by the mental health team, it was the best decision I ever made!
I thankfully didn't have anywhere near the pain/discomfort I was expecting.
The post care nurses have been excellent and any issue I may have had were addressed and my mind put at ease.

I had my surgery 31st August 2024, with Mr Awad, he was absolutely fantastic, kind and friendly and really knows his stuff. I found it difficult to start with as Id opted for a gastric sleeve, and I struggled with sickness, however tonic got involved and involved Mr Awad and we got it sorted quickly and back on track. I’ve now lost 9stone 11 in just short of 12 months. No regrets, only that I’d wished I’d done it 10 years ago. The tonic team have always been fantastic with me, check in regularly and are very helpful. 100% recommend

I truly didn’t anticipate just how important and impactful the aftercare would be.

After losing just shy of 100 lbs quite rapidly, I found that I was starting to struggle with food noise again. I was seriously considering weight loss injections as a ‘quick fix’ and even went as far as lying about my weight when applying for them, as I was desperate and concerned I would start to gain weight and undo everything without some kind of extreme medical intervention.

Instead, I asked for help from Tonic. Every call with Harry has been a mini masterclass in nutrition, mindset, and sustainable health. He doesn’t just give advice, he educates, encourages, and really listens.

Harry’s knowledge is next level, but what has set him apart is his ability to break things down in a way that does not overwhelm, makes sense, and feels achievable. In just a few calls, I’ve gained a clear understanding of my body, what it needs, and how to fuel it properly (hint: it’s not by starving yourself!).

The aftercare provided by Harry feels like much more than a follow-up service. It feels like a genuine partnership in your transformation, with both of you working together and invested in achieving a sustainable set of habits and processes.

I cannot recommend the aftercare support enough for helping me through what I would argue is the most difficult part of a weight loss surgery journey.

For the first time, I feel empowered and excited about the next steps and most importantly, I feel a long way from the person who was once desperate for weight loss jabs!

My surgery was performed by Professor Bilal Alkhaffaf in June last year.
I have had weight issues all my life, at 14 years old I was 15 stone. As the years rolled by my weight yoyo'd as the diet industries influence took hold. I did loose weight for dropping to a 16, just in time for my wedding however, sustaining 3 plus hrs in the gym 6 times a week was not sustainable and the weight, as sure as the sun is yellow, the weight started to rocket as the wear and tear on my joints laid me up for a spell. My mental health plummeted as all the hard work unravelled and I did have the tools to help. Along came Tonic saw an advert on thr TV. I carried out research on he company, had a chat with them and followed up with rearching the professor himself.
We had a chat via phone where the procedures were discussed, so I could make an informed decision about what intervention i wanted. I chose the gastric sleeve.
On the day of the surgery the professor offerd time to discuss the process and ansered any questions. He also completed a follow up visit after the procedure where he spoke to me about thre processes going forward.
I have not regretted a thing I wish I had done this years ago and not waited till my 60th year on the earth! However, here i am happy living my best life.. I seriously think the procedure has added 20y years to my life and I intend to make the best of every minute.

Tonic were great from start to finish. I had a gastric sleeve two years ago. The surgery went well and the hospital was great. I had terrible nausea for the first week and within a day the tonic team arranged for some anti nausea medication for me. It was a life saver! The regular checkins from the team have been great and they social media and app are really supportive. Best decision I ever made!
