Excellent price point on ordered items

Just the worst returns experience I've ever experienced.
I ordered an Einhell hand vacuum. It arrived with the lithium battery box with a huge gash through it indicating it could well have been bashed or dropped, so I asked to replace the battery. Tooled up refused and said I would have to return the battery and vacuum together, and that they did not do replacements. (This despite the fact they sold each of these items separately).
So I had to source a box big enough to package them up.
They arranged DHL pick up who kept me in all day and did not turn up. This happened on a second day too even though they had been told to phone me Tooled up said. Never did.
They then wrote that actually they could just replace the battery after all, after insisting i had to send it back. By this point I just wanted to send the vacuum back as it was all packaged up and I'd been kept in two days for the pick up.
When I asked to be able to arrange the DHL collection myself, Tooled up refused saying they had to arrange it their end. They also wrote 'the post office will not accept it as it has a battery.'
Then they suddenly decided I could return via Royal Mail and sent a non functional pick up link which I had to request again.
On clicking on it I found Royal mail will not pick up from home, because of the lithium batteries, which means despite being disabled I will have to get a lift to a post-office. Additionally Royal Mail have a long list of requirements for lithium battery sending. So I asked Tooled up to confirm that this long list was complied with, so I didn't get to the post office and have the parcel refused, but they ignored my question and just sent me yet another link to arrange a Royal Mail collection.
It seems clear that this company just don't want to deal with returns.
Given the huge difficulties returning items I would think twice about ordering from these guys if you are disabled or the item contains a lithium ion battery.

Wanted a spare black & Decker battery for our new cordless hoover. Looked around and our usual online store (Amazon) and they were pretty pricey or cheap Chinese ones which I didn't want to risk.

I didn’t want a great experience- I wanted a spare battery at an acceptable price. That’s what I got; it was delivered when it should have been, and does the job. Can’t ask for more than that.

Tooled-Up has a wide range of products which I appreciate. But after ordering seven items, all I got was one confirmation email - then nothing. I called after 6 days and was told they were waiting for one of the seven items ordered. Disappointing that they cannot be bothered to email to say what was going on.

Brill service, can't fault

I'm writing this review only because their system reminded me to do so two times. I placed an order on 22/11 that was supposed to be delivered on 28/11. It was despatched for a delivery on the 28th and since then I've been waiting for DHL to deliver the parcel. It goes out for delivery everyday and at the end of the day it is delayed to the other day. This has happened 5 times. I contacted tiled up and customer service told if I don't receive it in the day of my complaint, they'd refund me the other day. I sent an email saying I haven't received the parcel and now they're saying they need to receive the return parcel to refund me. Sorry but I spent £172 and now I need to wait more to buy another set of products to do the job I intended to do, with a delay already. I don't even believe that this parcel actually exists.

If this is happening with DHL, then change DHL. This shouldn't be the ultimate solution of tiled up. Why are the customers being made miserable when it is clear that nothing was delivered to the customer at all?
