A very difficult process and experience
Following being made redundant and making a claim on my unemployment insurance that I have paid into each month for many years - I found that the process of dealing with Trent to be extremely painful and frustrating. Several different people dealt with the claim (which is to be expected) but mostly they had not fully looked at previous correspondence. On a number of occasions information would be requested and subsequently sent and then repeated requests for the same information would be issued. Then more requests for further information would be issued. Then when claim was finally accepted the dates were incorrect and I then had to prove what the dates and periods should be. On the whole a very unpleasant experience and you can't help but feel that they think you are trying to make fraudulent claim despite being policy holder for so long. This does not feel great particularly at a time when you are actively seeking new employment which in itself can be very stressful. Needless to say that I am now assessing whether it is worth continuing any cover or not.

Eventually and very quickly I got paid…
Eventually and very quickly I got paid out after initially advising they would not be paying this claim, but after I complained they took it on board and raised a complaint then sent it to the underwriters and they deemed that the claim would be upheld, thank you.

I only had positive experience with Trent Services. Staff always helpful and polite, when calling with enquiries. Never had claim rejected and I have been with Trent Sevices for years.

The communication between the company and me could of been better, I had to chase them to find out what was happening and only found out it had been approved after phoning the vets to see if they had any updates, they said they would have a decision after 5 working days but it was a full week after the claim went in

I had the policy for 15 years and have…
I had the policy for 15 years and have made 1 claim in that whole time (having been made redundant). I was very unhappy with how they handled the claim, particularly in the eligibility to claim stage.
They cheated me out of one month's money by making me wait an extra month beyond the terms of the policy before I could start claiming and generally treated me like a piece of poop on their shoe! They seemed to be looking for any angle to get out of allowing me to claim.
I've now cancelled my policy and regret giving them my money for so long!

Efficient claim service but costly insurance.
My claim was dealt with quickly and sympathetically (my dog had several health issues and had to be put to sleep). However, I was not happy with the rapidly increasing premiums and restrictions in the cover following the change to Muddy Paws. I will certainly shop around for my next pet insurance. Hopefully this industry will be under investigation soon as is the cost of vets.

Brilliant service
Brilliant service . My dog Rocco had a lump removed they liased with the vets and once my he had his last check up the insurance claim form was sent to them and within a week they paid the money into my account. Brilliant service .
