Terrible company, they refuse to allow transfers for individuals so you can wrestle your domain back from companies that registered in your name or companies that went under, and they refer you back to this company that used their services to register. They have no phone number of means by which to contact them. If you call their 1-800 number it tells you to refer back to the company that used Tucows to register. Avoid anyone that uses Tucows like the plague!

Not good at all. Can't get hold of them for a transfer, this has been going on for 2/3 months! Once you are in, its like -Death and Taxes!'

Just charged me money via PayPal and can’t tell me what for. I asked them to either explain the bill or refund me. That was a week ago, and all I got was a customer satisfaction survey. Shady business.

They will steal your domains if you forget to renew them. I can understand sending expired domains back out to the open market but for a registrar to take it and then resell it for over $2000 back to their customers is quite the conflict of interest, to say the least. Go with Uniregistry, they are cheaper and a bit more ethical in their business practices.

I can't understand how come this Tucows become the owner of my domain
even before expiration (DXIS-net.com) - or if you are late to renew one day, they will become the owners. Who are they ? I got Span on their name also.

My reseller for ENOM (which Tucows owns) is not properly servicing my domain and allowed it to expire. After waiting 24 hours while they tried to reach him they finally agreed that I could take over the admin of the account ONLY if I paid them $250 for a five year commitment. It's called extortion!

I will get this away from them and NEVER do business with them again. I suggest you do the same and avoid them at all costs! If not, it will cost you plenty!

Have been trying for a week to transfer my domain to godaddy but tucows sent me an authorization transfer code that doesn't work for the transfer and they seem to be avoiding me. Maybe because I'm quitting them. Lousy company seems to be going down hill rapidly.

We had a fully paid up account with HostBig and a domain provided by Tucows. All of a sudden none of it works! this is what they have said:

We are currently in dispute with Tucows Inc. they are the registrar of your domain, we are their reseller.

We are disappointed to advise you that at this time they have removed our ability to manage or renew your domain, for assistance in renewing or managing your domain please contact pkarkas at tucows.com

So we are left high and dry - oh and guess what pkarkas at tucows.com comes back with an out of office reply.

We have sent a dozen emails over the past few days to Tucows and HostBig and not a word back.

Tucows are nothing but a scammers who will take your money and provide absolutely no service or support.

Tucows and Swiss Swisscom are selling domain names to Swiss customers located in Switzerland.

HUGE ERROR TO PURCHASE A DOMAIN NAME WITH THOSE 2 : tucows and SwissCom

Scam at maximum, the 2 are sending the ball to each other. Tucows to Swisscom and Swisscom to Tocows.

Incompetence is a nice word to describe them.

Double price, and 2 years later, impossible to transfer a domain name. Incredible. We abandoned a domain name, but Tucows/Swisscom are still keeping that domain name. They do not free it. If someone is willing to purchase it, they will have to pay 100 times more than the official price.

Clowns.

It took Tucows 10 working days and 8 emails to have them transfer our website name to GoDaddy. Because of Tucows employees' negligence, we lost several thousands of dollars in sales.
Tucows saw it was losing our business and put us at the bottom of the pile of work to do.
We initially registered with Shopify that connected us to this company. We were under the impression we were registered with Shopify.

I am NOT a web designer or an IT person. I'm just a small business owner who needed help managing her domains. Tucows offered me the WORST customer service experience I've had on the web and on the phone. I get that they are a reseller and generally don't deal with consumers - but they could at least have avoided giving me the royal run-around and wasting my time.

Seems Tucows had its golden age. It's still okay but nothing compared to what it used to be. A lot of useless software is to find in their directory.

Den side har jeg brugt rigtig mange gange i tidens løb.. Det er genialt hvis man lige står og mangler et program til et eller andet, så kan du finde demoer og prøve udgaver og nogen gange gratis programmer som kan præcis det man søger! Genialt!
