Almost completely useless. Using Safari on a new MacBook Air to watch ITV hub, I never got past the first ad break before it dropped out and then wouldn't reload. The tech support chat stated the obvious (reboot, delete and reinstall, clear cache etc etc ) and made absolutely no difference. I was either detected as being outside of the UK or accused of having an ad blocker ( I didn't) or it just stopped all browsing. A complete waste of money.

I have had UkExpat VPN for just over 2 years although I only used it for about 6 months.
It worked ok on Windows and Kindle but not on Chromebook which I use the most.
Be very careful to make an alarm to yourself before the contract rolls over because THEY DON'T INFORM YOU IN ADVANCE AND WON'T GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK EVEN IF YOU CANCEL ON THE SAME DAY.
No information on company location, how to complain officially (not just to help desk). The help desk just block you.
I would like to have given it no stars but it does work well in some platforms. However I spent £95 that I didn't want to and want to warn others, especially as it is impossible to complain to anyone!

Disgusted with their customer service. I only wish I had read ukexpatvpn reviews here before I signed up. Signed up initially for 2 years. Used it quite a few times to access UK channels from Spain and it just about did what it said on the tin but stopped using it as there was now lots of other ways of doing it (and worked better and we're free) but unfortunately, with no warning email, the service renewed @ 119 euros and came straight out the bank. I only had 120 euros in the account and that was for food shopping for the week for my family. I begged customer service to refund and cancel and explained my predicament and that I had stopped using the service and wouldn't have renewed had I had known it was due. They did not care at all. I would do anything I could to divert potential new customers to alternative providers of this service. I am appalled that any companies can still behave like this company in these difficult times. Of course I understand why they choose not to send reminder emails out to customers 2 weeks before automatically renewing subscriptions like every other company on the planet ..... because no customer would ever renew!

As with the other reviews complete scammers no warning that they would be taking money from my account. I had been a loyal customer and explained how I hadn’t been using the service for months having been forced to come back to the uk in a very difficult time and the fact they had taken the money had sent me further into debt. They couldn’t care less it’s all about the money. Genuinely fooled into thinking it was a company that was good to their customers. Please look for other companies there’s lots out there.

Awful. Scammers. They rely on getting bank details and continuing to withdraw money. Don't trust them.

I was happy with the service when I lived abroad. I moved back to the UK and of course have no use for it anymore. I expected to receive an email to let me know that payment was due, at which point I would have cancelled my subscription. However, no notification that my payment was due - and they took the 60 GPB from my account. When I queried this, they said that this was what was in my initial agreement. Every other company that I have an annual subscription with notify me a week or two before they take payment. They wouldn't budge on it. I'm so annoyed with them.

Service itself was satisfactory. What wasn't satisfactory, and in fact downright fraudulent, was the company silently charging my card for 10 months after I attempted to cancel the service *twice*. I reached out to the company and Jennifer said she couldn't help me because the 30-day window had passed. But we're not talking about unsatisfactory service, we're talking about fraud. I'll give them a couple weeks to respond to this, then I'll file a formal complaint in the UK.

Very poor speeds with this vpn service. Quite often I get 2mb stream speeds and am constantly having to contact their support (Jennifer) who responds quickly but cannot fix a problem with their vpn which is it cannot access virgin media as they pledge as a guarantee on their website. Having to raise a dispute with my card company for a refund. Avoid this very poor vpn service. Read their reviews online which are always about poor speeds. I was able to get bbc, itv, ch4 and 5,but not virgin media which has sky channels all in HD which I was disappointed with. Use another vpn
