We stayed at Little Portion (Tresean, North Cornwall), which was a joy from the moment we stepped inside. The cottage is exquisitely designed, with a thoughtfulness and generosity throughout, and with delightful surprises at every turn. There were multiple spaces to sit and relax, both inside and out - including hot tub and cosy sofas by the woodburner. We felt very welcome. Our first experience with Unique Homestays, and very satisified.

Unique Homestays never disappoint
They are at the top of the holiday rental market. Having stayed at a number of their properties it’s always a delight to enter one of these beautiful homes. We stayed at Alba house St Ives Only one word is needed WOW

Everything about our stay for our son’s 30th birthday was magnificent. The accommodation and its environment are fabulous. The Granary is modern and really well appointed with everything you could possibly need, and everybody catered for, from the bathrooms to the kitchen. The bedrooms are all roomy and comfortable, and there is plenty of space to sit and relax, indoors and out. Outside is especially magnificent, with an outdoor space with seating and a small pool, all overlooking two beautiful lakes and woodland. There is an egg BBQ to cook on, and fire pits and burners should the weather turn chilly. We also took advantage of the golf simulator for a bit of fun. I can’t praise The Granary at Bolebroke Castle too highly, or our hosts: fabulous people; fabulous place. Would certainly go again.

Heddwen in Harlech, North Wales, was absolutely delightful. It was a beautiful, inspiring, rustic property, with uplifting interiors. Everything was well thought out and comfortable. Very clean. Well equipped as you would expect. It is very private but not isolated. It took me about 24 hours to get used to just how gorgeous it was. It is seriously a real treat to stay there. The views are just incredible, the sunsets amazing, a 3 mile beach within walking distance. Clearly a labor of love by the owner. Bravo!

We had a lovely honeymoon stay at Hinterland in North Wales; it is remote, definitely follow the provided instructions carefully and it makes it manageable to find on first attempt! The site feels private and the views are outstanding.
The cabin was to an extremely high standard and was cosy and very warm for an Autumn stay. Lovely furnishings. The outside hot tub was bigger than anticipated and easy to operate- exceeded our expectations with the views you could experience from inside the tub itself. It has a roof so you can enjoy the hot tub whatever the weather!
The booking process from start to finish with Unique Homestays was very efficient and we felt a personal touch.
The welcome hamper for ourselves- and the dog- was very generous and enjoyable.
Would highly recommend both Unique Homestays- and Hinterland Cabin if there is just the two of you.

Our property rental in the Cotswolds through Unique Homestays was an incredible experience. Thoughtful details and well-appointed amenities were the standard here from the start. Even my interactions with them online from the very beginning were nothing but professional and polished. I will most definitely be contacting them for another stay!

Once again Unique Homestays has provided an excellent service and I would strongly recommend them to others. The Shearling in Rutland was in THE most beautiful position with wonderful views and the house was sumptuously furnished - a 10/10. Just the luxurious week away that we needed and the heated pool allowed my husband to swim every day - even though it was October!

During our stay, we discovered that water could pass through the bathroom floor and appear downstairs, even after a relatively small amount of water escaped. We were later informed that the bathroom floor was not fully sealed or tanked, something that had never been disclosed to us before booking or arrival.

Following checkout, our £500 security deposit was withheld over alleged water damage. Despite our concerns about the property’s condition and the lack of pre-arrival photographs, the company maintained its decision.

The dispute involved prolonged correspondence and delays, and it was not until October 2026, nearly two months after checkout, that we received confirmation of the final decision.

Very disappointing for a company offering luxury accommodation. Guests should be informed of such important property limitations before their stay, and deposit disputes should be handled more fairly and promptly.

We loved our stay with Unique Homestays in Cornwall at Lightkeepers this summer! The house and grounds are located close to the Cornish Atlantic Coast and you can hear the waves rolling in when you listen carefully. The views towards the ocean from the Master Bedroom are spectacular as well. The Unique Homestays Team was excellent in making us feel at home and well taken care off during our stay. We will definitely book again next year.

Atticus is a wonderful property/home. Extremely spacious, comfortable and well-equipped.

More than enough pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. And, being so well situated, the rest of the Cotswolds right on your doorstep

Unique Homestayes are professional and personable

The location as well as the condition and design of the property made it very memorable and difficult to leave.

We recently stayed in Skyline in the Lake District. This was an amazing property in a perfect location. The house was well laid out and well stocked. The views from the house were beautiful and we loved the easy walk to town. Location wise, it was well positioned for easy access to great Lake District hikes. We highly recommend this property. This was our second time renting through Unique Homestay and also highly recommend this team - their customer service is very good and their properties are of consistently high quality.

My wife has always wanted to stay in a windmill so I booked Isla Windmill, situated in a fairly isolated position just outside Beaumaris, for a 9 day stay from 16 September 2026 as part of her 70th birthday celebrations. The booking process was easy and very efficient with good communications. Upon arrival we found the property to be as described - beautifully restored and extended with lovely facilities and stunning views across to the Menai Strait and Snowdonia mountain range from the 3rd floor. The welcome pack is very generous and the owner made advance contact to provide video guidance on operation of the private hot tub in the garden; this was fab and which we used every day after enjoyable walks and explorations on Anglesey.

Very professional outfit, made the whole experience from booking to arrival very easy.
Communication was very good and we would definitely book through them again given the opportunity.

We use Unique Homestays a lot; we feel like we know that we’ll always get good quality and fabulous location.
We recently stayed in Limehouse Cottage, Co. Kerry; the location was stunning, totally wild and beautiful. The cottage itself was cool and minimalist but at the same time really cosy and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need. We had a fabulous stay here with our dogs and would totally recommend!

We stayed in Little Portion in Cornwall earlier this month. Fantastic accommodation full of quirky and tasteful touches and deceptively spacious. The location is nicely off the beaten track yet gives you easy access to lovely walks and some beautiful unspoilt beaches. The hot tube was particularly inviting after a long day exploring. This was the first time we have booked through Unique Homestays and we will return I am sure. Thoroughly recommended.

Unique Homestays is a great company. They are responsive and accessible. We stayed at The Hatch recently and cannot rate the whole experience highly enough. The property was super- clean, well presented and extremely well equipped. The property manager was very helpful and supportive too.

We had an amazing holiday at the Black Cabin! Such a beautiful place to stay with spectacular views and great walks straight from the property.
Great food and fab independent shops in nearby Hay On Wye and the cabin was comfy, cool and well equipped.

I stayed at The Viewing Gallery with my family for a few days and it was absolutely lovely. The house was gorgeous - the interior is very well done and the beds very comfortable. The view of the sea through the glass doors in the living room is breathtaking. My family and I made great use of the hot tub too. Just a 15 minute walk down to the beach and the main town. It was a delightful stay.

My husband and I stayed at 'Little Inka' for 4 nights after our wedding and it was the perfect peaceful retreat to recharge and relax. Wendy and Tom are fabulous hosts - welcoming, always available to help out with any questions we had and truly passionate about the property and the area they so clearly love. The property is cosy and comfortable, with beautiful and unique design features, but also completely livable with all the appliances you could want, comfy furniture and plenty of space for two! We wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly be back.
