Good selection of items available from Vango. Like the idea of reusing/ recycling so perfectly good items don’t go to waste. Purchase experience was good, no issues, was finally attracted by a “vip” discount offer. Item was delivered without waiting too long at all. All ready for spring camping trips with fresh new tents.

Oh my goodness - I love it!!
I bought the Vango 3 person tent - Sierra 300, after having had a 3 person Vango tunnel tent last year. Last year's tent went back after one use, and likely many other tunnel tents in that situation may have. I really liked the tent, but camping in the rain and needing to get back into the tent - when you opened the access door, the rain dripped into the body of the tent. So when I saw this one, with the porch area...sheltering the door...
It costs more than the other tent we bought, and is so much more than the other. You can stand in it, there's a larger living area, and the porch bit is ace. I bought the footprint too which I'm also pleased with. In terms of putting it up, we did it in just over 20 mins, not bad for a first run (the suggestion is 15).
If I were to suggest any improvements I'd make, maybe to have one of the windows in the side of the living space to open as a door to allow free flowing air through if it was a warm summer day... but aside from that I've nothing. Really pleased with it.
Great as long as you don’t need customer service
We have a Vango driveway awning acquired as part of the deal when purchasing a new campervan. The awning itself is a pretty standard design, good but much the same as many other cheaper options. However when we came to use it for the first time we discovered that the short pole in the tunnel section to the van was broken. This could have been an easy fix with cooperation from Vango but customer service demanded return of the awning (at our expense) and retention of the awning for several weeks right at the beginning of the season when we would use it most. The customer service team were unhelpful and ultimately very patronising. We have used our initiative to solve the problem but would not be purchasing an awning from Vango again.
I had an issue
I had an issue, this happens in every sector globally, there is no way to escape it. What matters is how a business deals with it. Vango dealt with my issue (which had a significant personal impact) with grace and class. A excellent example of how UK retailers should be behaving. Thank you Vango.

Vango awning air inlet cover.
We have a Vango air awning that gets used regularly on our Campervan. One of the covers for the air inlet on the beam got broken, but didn’t stop us from using it, but was quite annoying hanging down. We were at the NEC on Wednesday and asked at the Vango stall if we could get a replacement. The person we spoke to took our details and said he would organise one for us. Two turned up the next day in the post and at no cost. Only a small thing, but quite often companies aren’t interested in the small things, especially when they aren’t making any money. Thank you to Vango and the man who served us 🙏
Poor customer service
Attempted to buy something from them using a flash sale discount code which was emailed to me via their mailing list. Code was specified to work till Sunday 9pm but did not work, having apparently run out on Saturday night. Emailed and have had no response. A decent company would have responded and honoured the discount since it was their fault.

Bought a 48 bulb circular camping light, what a crap design, now can't even get the back off to change the batteries, you need the hands of a giant,,, again crap
Absolutely rubbish
Absolutely rubbish. Used it for about 9 weeks (3 holidays in the Uk, over 18 month time period) and it started to fall apart. The material was like tissue paper, so we sent it back to Vango. They said that it was due to the sun’s UV radiation that caused it. Don’t you think that you would have used a material that could withstand this or do I pitch it in a barn. Didn’t replace it or even apologised for such a bad experience . Would not recommend at all.
4 months wait for replacement
My self-inflating mattress turned out to be faulty and Vango said it would get replaced within a couple of weeks. Then they messaged me saying they didn't have one in stock and I'd need to wait another 4 months for a replacement - no option for a refund. When I said I wanted to send a complaint, I was told there was told there was no one else I could complain to. Horrible service and not something you'd expect from a company like Vango.
Replacement Faros III awning
Big fans of Vango, so disappointed when our brand new Faros III Air Low awning leaked rain at internal point where tension straps and bar join the forward point of roof above door. Originally told it would be six weeks to assess but provided video evidence and lots photos that enabled Beata at Vango to exchange the faulty awning within a week without reiteration. First time we've ever needed it but good quick replacement service.

Dreadful experience with Vango so far, emailed them twice re a faulty tent/tent poles but they don't even bother replying. Vango NY200 tent is useless, do not buy.
Shocking quality. Do NOT buy Vango
We bought an outdoor gas cooker and an induction hob in July. One of the gas hobs failed in about a week.
The induction hob, whilst still working, has been taken to the local charity as its quality is worse than abysmal. (1) It heats a narrow area of perhaps 10cm. Within that ring, everything will burn whilst the rest of the food sits around, completely uncooked. (2) It's impossible to run it on a lower setting as it starts cycling- literally switching on and off like all ultra-cheap induction hobs do. We are no strangers to low-wattage appliances as we live on a widebeam boat. Our large boat hob is also 200-800W but has no issue running perfectly on 200. (3) controls are unstable and are constantly tripped by the pans whose diameter is larger than the hob itself - which means any pan larger than 12cm. So, pretty much every pan. You set it to 3, it flips to 5 and burns the lot.
I have never had an appliance that failed so miserably on so many levels. This is a corrupt company. Don't buy their products.
No customer service
I recently bought vango sunbeam flexi lights, and having used them twice they failed. I contacted Vango warranty department via their website and received an automated response. No follow up has been received.
