By appointment I attended Vickers showroom to sample a new system. I had in mind a Cyrus 40 set up with Mission speakers, one I had many moons ago with products of that day. David set up the system and then explored alternative speakers, of which there were endless alternatives available to trial.
In the end I gave up on the idea of buying a Cyrus 40 CD player (though hopefully Father Christmas will oblige in a few months time), opted for the Cyrus 40 streamer and amp, with some ProAc Response D30s. I got a good price on the speakers and to me, the whole package exceeded my expectations. It was delivered when David said it would be, and ever since then I have been grinning from ear to ear.
Big thanks to David for opening our ears to some of the alternatives available, based on the information we were giving him. He really listed to what we were saying, and he steered us to a wonderful set up, that I am absolutely in love with. Thank you so very much.

New cartridge fitted !
Needed a new cartridge on my concept turntable and took it in for ‘Vickers’ to fit a new one. They recommended 2 alternatives , be it one was quite a bit more expensive which l went for as an upgrade and l’m glad l did. Great service, fitted and balanced perfectly- turntable has never sounded so good…ortophon bronze ! Thanks…l’ll be back !

Not pushy, they listen to the customer
Vickers took the time to set up a new system alongside my existing. The result was that I walked out with a new Cyrus Amp40 and Streamer40 plus Chord Epic interconnect. Excellent service from very knowledgeable staff who never pushed product onto me and listened to my request to bring my Sonus Faber speakers to life - they now sound amazing. Thanks.
