I ordered a golden sage from them, and when it arrived it was distorted with black spots on many leaves, clearly not a healthy plant. I got in touch with them (sending a photograph), expecting a refund or replacement, but they recommended me to leave it for a while and see how it got on. I was rather taken aback, since I don't expect to have to nurse bought plants to health, unless they were on the bargain trolley, but I did wait two weeks and it was no better, so I contacted them again. This time I was told that it was normal for sages to have black spots, and that there was nothing wrong with the plant. They will not give me a refund or replacement. Any of the other nurseries I have dealt with in the past have always refunded me if something arrived in poor condition, or sent a replacement if available. Looking down the comments here, I conclude that they are capable of sending out plants in good condition, but clearly one cannot rely on this. Personally, I shall never use them again.
I am an amateur gardener of many years' experience, and have grown common sage from seed. I have also had golden sage in the past, and it has not been covered in dark blemishes.

Really disappointed with my purchase of a fuchsia plant. I expected a small plant but I received a single stem twig with three leaves on it. Two of these died the next day and the third quickly followed. When I complained I was asked why wasn't it in the ground, I replied I had put in bigger pot with the hope of growing it on. I have asked for a replacement plant twice but have received no reply or apology. Will NOT use them again.03.09

I really wouldn't trust this company, I think I'm now getting a refund but they took my order and then just didn't send anything and no correspondence until I reached out to complain, they then were really rude.

Have had multiple orders from this company & cannot fault them in any way. Updates on order throughout, prompt dispatch & delivery of well packed & high quality plants. An absolute pleasure to deal with & the best selection of unusual & useful herbs I have seen anywhere. Very highly recommended

"Our guarantee" isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
I purchased 2 packets of 10 kashmir chilli seeds and 7grew from one and then 5 from another, despite good conditions.
So I took them up on their "Guarantee" just to find they wiggle out of it by saying you didn't provide them with the precise growing conditions, so I try and discuss this with them explaining that if that was the case none of the others would have grown sending them pictures but nope they point blank refuse to replace.

Some reviewers on here have had a really good experience and, indeed, seven of the plants I ordered are thriving. However, others have had appalling experiences and my other six plants fall into that category.

One arrived looking ok but died soon after. However, five Foxgloves arrived looking half dead and within a week had gone all the way! I contacted the owner/customer service person, Serena, to ask for a refund on the dead plants. But, as others have reported, she is quite rude and bluntly refused, claiming I had over watered. A clever catch all excuse as there is no way of disputing or proving!

I then raised a claim through PayPal which prompted a partial refund offer from Victoriana, I refused this and escalated the claim for PayPal to adjudicate. Finally PayPal refused my claim because the product was not "significantly different to the description". In fairness to Victoriana, they never claimed the plants would be alive on arrival or survive, but I think it is reasonable to assume this would have been the case!!

In the end I lost a small amount of money, but they lost a customer and any chance of a recommendation to other people.

Very good quality plants, often unavailable elsewhere, packaged in recycled and compostable materials with minimal plastic and modest charges. Of note, clumsy handling in transit had led to a plug plant in a recent order arriving damaged and the nursery replaced it without demur.

I received 3 x bay leaf plants first week in April. All 3 plants had yellow leaves covered with fungal spots. I have the APP (Picture This) and scanned the plants… the results read your plant is SICK. I screenshot each report along with photos of each plant & emailed VN expressing my disappointment. Her (Serena Shirley) response was that we should plant them & they will grow happily!! So she’s basically asking me to poison my family! Absolutely disgusting that they send sick plants to customers. This type of infection doesn’t happen over night in transit/ despatch.
Absolute careless Nursery truly beyond belief lack of customer care!

Reading other reviews, Victoriana seems to be doing either great or awful. For me they were great.
My climbing strawberries "Rambling Cascade" arrived well wrapped, vigorous and healthy and for the smaller specimens they added extra.
The herbs were decent, not outstanding like the strawberries, but equally well packed.
Processing and shipping was clearly communicated via email and only a few days, not 5-7 days as said on website. - I would order from them again.

Plants arrived broken and in very bad condition. Totally unacceptable response from the nursery. Bad customer care. AVOID, DON'T Waste your money.

I sourced several varieties of Hardy Fuchsia that I wanted from this nursery ~ I found them quite by chance on the Internet. As they had everything I wanted, plus some other interesting varieties, and the price was very competitive, I thought I'd try them.

Their site is very easy to use, the order process was also easy. Then, having ordered, they regularly updated me, as they put the order together. And the speed of dispatch made my jaw drop, especially as I ordered over a weekend.

The parcel arrived using APC Overnight (much less good ~ I have awarded only a 3/5 to them) and the plants are nice and well-grown ~ small, but as described. They were well packed, and had survived well, despite APC's slightly sloppy handling.

I shall be interested to see how the plants develop, but so far, I am very pleased, and will use Victoriana again, on current evidence.

Well packed. Two sturdy bare root cob nut trees. Arrived in the Highlands of Scotland in very good time. The quality of the trees makes what is offered at a local garden centre in the Highlands as puny and expensive. Well done.

My first purchase from this nursery and I couldn’t be more pleased, nice healthy fuchsia plants well packed and they arrived quickly, very reasonable priced as well.
Always best to buy from a family run nursery in my opinion!

I ordered a loquat in January which was deemed lost in transit. They resent the plant. When it arrived the box was squashed and battered. The leaves were yellow not the deep green they should have been and were obviously suffering from chlorisis. When I asked for a refund I was told it was “simply its seasonal state” and to wait until July. Very disappointing. I did order in January but I did not expect to receive the dregs rather than a healthy plant.

I tried contacting by email with no response until I posted on the Facebook page , they kept saying the post was late due to strikes but two months later, still no delivery , I asked for a refund or I would take it further and they responded with ‘ due to the tone of your email we will mo linger. Respond to you. I just feel like I’ve been scammed. I’m a widow, on a poor nhs wage trying to grow my own and companies like this take the money but don’t send the goods. I ordered from two other bigger garden nurseries at the same time and recieved the orders within a week .

First time using Victoriana Nursery and I wouldn’t hesitate using them again. I was kept informed of progress which didn’t take long. The couriers they chose (APC) were excellent, with updates and a speedy delivery. Then to top all that my plants were packed very well and were established healthy looking plants. I’m so excited to nurture their growth as Victoriana Nursery clearly have. Thank you to all the team.

I bought a quince fruit tree, a grape vine and some herbs.

All arrived very well packaged in good time. Excellent communication about the order throughout. It must be tricky with the postage situation currently but it was all spelt out clearly and arrived on schedule.

The information on the (lovely) website regarding care of grape vines was the best I've found. That is how I stumbled upon them. This is a gem of a nursery that I'm really pleased to have discovered.

I will definitely use Victoriana again. Really pleasant online shopping experience.

I ordered a couple of fruit trees for my grandsons Christmas presents not expecting them till new year but they arrived in 36 hours. Just amazing, thank you.

I was extremely impressed with Victorian Nursery website and the variety of plants. There was a particular variety of tree I had been looking for and found it with VN. I ordered the fruit tree on the Wednesday and it arrived the following morning!!
That's what I call SERVICE!

A really bad looking cherry tree arrived yesterday, it doesnt even have a central leader. Pruning is awful, shape is awful. I'm not even sure it is alive. Have tried to contact as would like a refund but cant get hold of anyone. I will go through my card provider as it's an online purchase thankfully I'm protected. Avoid at all costs
