Most everyone is responsive to my questions except the person handling my website setup. He may have an overloaded work assignment but he has yet to get my website up. I was told it would be ready a couple weeks after the book was released. What is most bothersome is he is not responding to emails. This gives the impression he’s not concerned with my questions.

This project was my very first book. Everyone on your staff was extremely helpful, patient with me, and walking me through the process step by step. You can tell they treat it like a ministry and not just a business. Giving me the personal touch ready to help through the whole process. The cover I couldn't find a stock photo. I told them exactly what I wanted and I was more than ecstatic!! I have referred so many to you and will definitely use your service for my upcoming books. God bless you all

I found the people of Westbow Press to be high in integrity and friendliness. They went out of their way to make this an easy experience for me and assisted me in meeting my deadlines.

The process has been easy, but the transition of people has been confusing. There is a continual integration of people into the process. I get an email from a random person saying I will be doing this next step. There is no for warning from, what I would say is a contact person letting you know what is next. They are slow to email and getting someone on the phone is difficult. Some have done a great job, others have done a poor job. Over all the experience has been acceptable, but as in any process there are always ways to improve.

Westbow is very impressive.so thankful for all you do to publish my book. You’re easy to understand and great in communication. If I write again I will go Westbow to publish and recommend to others how great Westbow press is. Amazing work .

Iam a first time author and I was unsure of how to get my book "out there". I googled publishers and Westbow came up. I actually had signed with another publisher but the experience did not seem right. So I cancelled and signed with Westbow. Westbow has provided excellent service and has given me above and beyond the support that I was hoping for. Any questions I had or have are always answered in a timely manner with the information I inquire about. Their company is set up with experts in every department who are specialists and informative and knowledgeable in their area of expertise. I highly recommend Westbow from my experience and would work with them again should
I write another book.

As a first time publisher, Westbow made the process easy to understand and simple to follow through. I am very pleased with the people who helped me through this journey and look forward to publishing my next book.

Most of the individuals I worked with with the exception of two, were not timely in responding to my questions or concerns. There was a great delay in getting the book printed because the designers had to make so many corrections to their work constantly. I felt I was sold items that I ended up having to redo myself, key pieces of the book like the cover the back cover all of the print for those. I felt like I was begging for answers most of the time and when someone called to get money for various things from me it was the last I heard from them.

All authors pursuing the publication of their book by WestBow should be aware that this publisher receives its payments upfront, but then takes a long time to fulfill their obligations. While the final product is satisfactoy, the ability to communicate with the staff is severely limited, and hence really frustrating. They have a captive audience, since their fees have already been paid, and therefore take their own sweet time in fulfilling their duties.

I was super excited to publish with Westbow, especially given that they advertise as a "trusted Christian publisher" and are the self-publishing division of Thomas Nelson & Zondervan. Westbow gives its sister companies a bad name. I had a pre-edited Manuscript ready to go and submitted it shortly after signing Westbow's Service Agreement. After an initial Content Review (which didn't even comply with their stated standards), I did not hear a word from any of my publishing team for 5 months despite multiple e-mails inquiring about the status of my project. I ultimately had to send a demand letter to terminate the contract and get my payment back as Westbow performed none of the Services under the contract. No reason was given for such non-responsiveness. Highly unprofessional and deeply disappointing.

From the time I submitted my manuscript everything went so smoothly and quickly, the design was perfect, marketing was very helpful with suggestions but no pressure. A totally wonderful experience for a first time author!

I feel things were not adquately explained to me about the options outside of the package. There are publicity, marketing, printing options. The pricing and full explanation of all these on the front end would have alleviated a lot of frustration later on. I like my finished product but am not sure I would not have further explored or gone a different route if I had known. Most of the people with Westbow were pleasant to deal with but there seems to be some high pressure sales on adding things to your package. If your book is just text, it might be a different experience but with images, it might need more consideration about what path to take.

I have no complaints. A lot of complainers are of ones who hold very high expectations who want to seriously get mad by not wanting to be patient and or not wanting to put work into their project.

Just because you do not get much out of it, change your viewpoints. Then maybe realistic turn arounds will happen.

You got your book published, Amen to that. But to be sour over your experience and possibly lie is very undercut and it explains to as why you had not done well. Or maybe you are just trying to discredit a work that God places in front of you but want to exploit things to your advantage.

Ever hear of the starving artist? Keep in mind that success can happen but not always over night.

I love westbow and they truly had gone above and beyond to do as I ask of them. They will be contacted again for a second installment of my book.

It also takes money to make money. Keep that in mind as well before you try to tear down a company that is in fact self publishing and is giving you above and beyond the call of duty compared to other self publishing companies that make you design your own book without any help from others.
Westbow gives you the tools for success, it is up to you to apply it. I’m not judging but you who complain need to look at the situation outside of the box.

You are mad, you stress, you get triggered into pure hatred. Those are tools of the devil to hinder your own success and God had said that what you sew you will reap.

So, look at the situation. There is no reason to be mad, except by how you handle the situation.

I highly recommend Westbow to anyone willing to write for God.

Team of associates I worked with throughout the book production were professionals, guiding me throughout, easy to work with, encouraging, and quick to respond. A+
ADOBE app didn’t perform on my computer, which caused a long delay in release of the book and local aid from a computer technician. I’m still locked out from my files on ADOBE and will not be able to access them.
This is the fourth book of my series, a beautifully crafted book like the previous ones, all from WestBow. Big exception - the paper quality is noticeably inferior, and compared to the others in this collection the page weight is a disappointment. I laughed, but the paper used for the book invoice was thicker, with a prettier sheen! I’ve got at least two more books in my series…please, don’t scrimp on the paper when asking $34.95 for the paperback, $44.95 for hardback!

At every turn, Westbow comes up with answers and solutions to all of your publishing needs. They are that special ingredient for a successful experience and outcome.

Although a little slow for the Author it is like a process of making a nice cake - It takes time for the dough to rise so be patient and believe in the hand they have placed on your thoughts and hard work

Excellent communication and thought publishing process went pretty fast overall. Very very pleased!
