Wickes - Grimsby Reviews 

The designer was at my house for around 10 mins. He asked what I wanted while doing quick measurements, I asked to see a brochure but he didn't have one. How am I supposed to choose what I want. The lady who booked the appointment said he will have one for me, he said it was the ladies fault for not telling him.
He didn't seem very interested, said he'd just quote for cheaper worktops. (I had a workman here at the time doing a job for me, he said the say as I did about the designer. ) not very impressed

Great service from Joanne, Emily and Jamie from start to finish and the fitters were great as well, very attentive and accommodating could not of asked for better thank you

Im not even sure what we designed to be honest, i wasn't asked what taps i wanted what radiator, which shower screen, furniture or anything. There were no tiles or flooring offered or added, the member of staff that did our design told us he hated doing bathroom designs then went on to design which i can only assume was his design as it certainly was not ours. Didn't ask if we even liked it, wanted anything adding/changing before printing it off and passing it to me. Walked out wondering why on earth we had wasted an hour of our time and what he was even thinking.

I was looking for a new kitchen tap and found one at Grimsby branch.made a phone call to the branch a lady answered helped me with the item as for fitment and stock .
Ended up ordering online as we were 30 miles plus from the store.
Ordered Wednesday delivered Thursday excellent service ,if it was not for the great advise from Grimsby it would not have happened thanks again Grimsby

We cannot thank Chris enough for all of his help throughout the process of buying our kitchen. From start to finish, he was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him.

Chris has a fantastic sense of humour and a great personality, which made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and guided us through every step with patience and professionalism.

Joanne lofts from the grimsby store was so helpful from start to finish, she explained everything and is a very lovely lady who made me feel at ease. The kitchen she designed for me was perfect and good value for the cost.

Chris at the Grimsby store came out to design a new kitchen for us on Thursday. He invited us to go to the store on Saturday to see his design. Absolutely first class, he did an excellent job for us and did everything we asked from him. We were on a budget and he certainly got us a really great kitchen at a bargain price. Nothing was too much trouble for him even when I changed my mind. He seemed to know exactly what was perfect for our kitchen. I would highly recommend him and will definitely go back. Thank you Chris for all your help and advice.

Thanks so much to Jamie and the team at Wickes. They supplied sand to Pilgrim Academy for their outdoor sandpit and were so helpful. You've made a lot of child very happy 😊

Emily store manager had Excellent knowledge of products in store, went above and beyond helping out , just like having a personal shopper. Nothing was too much trouble. Made my experience none stressful . Will definitely be going back if I need anything in the future

J Lofts the adviser was very helpful and knowledgeable. Explained everything clearly . The range of kitchens wickes had was good and affordable. The Matt colour doors I needed wasn’t available so didn’t not purchase a kitchen but Would definitely recommend

This will be the third time we have used Wicks in different properties. The designs are good, service perfect, and price reasonable.

We have just bought a new kitchen today from the grimsby branch of wickes.chris the kitchen designer was absolutely brilliant, no pressure and very good advise and guidance was given in a very relaxed atmosphere.i can honestly say we have never enjoyed buying g a kitchen as much as this experience.the working g relationship between chris and store manager Emily was great to see.emily talked us through the process on our 1st visit with a smile and never put us under pressure to make a decision.very well done team and we would glady recommend them to anyone.

Went into Grimsby Wickes looking for a few screws and asked the ladies on the tills for help, Yvonne and Layla were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, in and out in 5 minutes, well done Ladies 🙏

I ordered internal-use timber from Wickes and what I received was absolutely shocking. The entire delivery arrived soaked, water-damaged, and already showing early signs of black mould risk, making it completely unfit for any internal work. I sent Wickes a full video of the condition as proof.

This isn’t just poor service — it’s a breach of multiple UK consumer laws, including:
• Consumer Rights Act 2015 (Sections 9, 10 & 11)
The goods are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, and not as described.
• Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
Items supplied by delivery must match the description and be usable upon arrival. These clearly weren’t.
• Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
Supplying internal materials in a wet and unsafe condition may be considered an unfair or misleading commercial practice.

I made it clear I do NOT want a replacement. I am requesting a full refund and compensation for:
• The condition of the goods
• The mould risk
• My loss of wages due to being unable to carry out planned work

I have provided all requested evidence, yet customer service has been slow and unhelpful. I’ve been told to wait 72 hours, which is completely unacceptable given the severity of the issue and the clear breaches of consumer law.

I expect this to be resolved within 24 hours, with a full refund and appropriate compensation.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope Wickes finally takes this seriously.

Asked for a quote to renovate bathroom and promised to receive by the following Wednesday. Designer can't have been in house for more than 20 minutes and did not really seem interested in what we wanted. Quote never arrived and after speaking to him today he came across as could not care whether I used their services or not and could not wait to get me off the phone. Usual type of excuse "I was going to ring you today" This gentleman in my opinion does nothing to enhance Wickes as a company.
