Wickes - Ipswich Reviews 

Having had a good experience with the planning and initial installation of our kitchen we were hopeful that if/when we had some snagging issues they would be dealt with expediently.

The fact is that once they've done the bulk of the work, they all lose interest. The installers worked hard to finish our kitchen before Christmas and it was pretty much done on the 23rd December. But there were snagging issues, and these have been so difficult to sort out, we're still trying to get them resolved now!

The fridge freezer was broken inside and this was quickly reported to Wickes who authorised a new one to be delivered (having tried to palm us off with a £100 to leave the broken one in place!) this was delivered on the 17th January, having been moved from the 10th. And it is still sitting in the corner of our kitchen!!

Various cupboards and doors have been damaged and we've had to have repeated replacements and are still waiting for another door to replace one of the replacements to be fitted.

There are gaps between the new floor tiles and the skirting board (some very noticeable) and everyone seems to be avoiding taking responsibility for trim needed to tidy this up. There has been no acknowledgement or discussion about sorting this, despite raising it several times.

The extractor we chose in the showroom, which was displayed in the cupboard we chose had a nice finish to the boxing in and led us to believe that this is how it would look in our kitchen... giving us a small amount of useable storage space around it. However the reality on installation was nothing! The installers boxed it in for us to try and make it a little more usable, but this isn't what we chose and again hasn't been dealt with.

On the whole, Wickes are great at selling you the kitchen and start the process well enough to lead you to believe that things will go smoothly and then basically ignore you as soon as something goes wrong!

Poor show Wickes!

Leah was great, working on the office design together she ensured that we considered all the options available. She took my many changes in her stride until we found the right layout. Very cheerful and friendly, qualities that are dear to me.

We have just finalised our kitchen with the help of Leah from the Ipswich branch. Leah was great - she walked us through all the options and was willing to work with us so we achieved our budget. Excellent customer service!

We bought a kitchen from Wicks, and would just like to say that we are over the moon with it! Steve Lowry visited our then vacant home and measured up all by himself, we had a couple of meetings with him at the store and his design skills are very impressive, he gave great advice, with a friendly and efficient service, nothing was too much trouble for him, and he really wanted to find the perfect kitchen for us to fit our needs - which he did impeccably! What a credit to Wicks to have him at their store! The kitchen is great quality, fits exactly as it should and looks fantastic. The delivery was smooth and all our order was delivered on time and complete. Thank you Wicks, thank you Steve, excellent service all round.

New kitchen - The design service with Steven Lowry in Ipswich was great. Steven is very knowlegable and helpful, with lots of useful advice.
The delivery was good. My fitters (Head Construction) were superb and the quality of work, communication, professionalism etc. Was second to none. The only minor issue was where a unit wasn't delivered and took a bit longer than ideal to be delivered, but was installed quickly.
The finished job is fantastic, and the fitters were incredibly good tradesmen, although I was lucky to have such a good installer allocated.
The quality of the product is very good. My only minor gripe is the AEG cooker hood I chose which is a bit flimsy but this is not Wickes fault at all!

Great service from Mr Lowry, design consultant at Ipswich. Initially service from customer service dept poor communication about missing delivery but then really good with damaged fascias (Cara ).

We were lucky enough to place our order through Wickes in Ipswich, and encounter one of the most knowledgeable, helpful and experienced individuals we could have hoped for in one Steven Lowry. His patience and advice helped us complete a complicated series of transactions involving designing purchasing and exporting our Kitchen which we are now absolutely delighted with. Highly recommended!

I had never dealt with Wickes before, but I can honestly say that I was impressed with the service I received from the start when I met Darrell Langridge the Design Consultant, through to the Installers, Arthur Joyce Contracts, who carried out the work. I was kept informed at every stage and had access to a Customer Experience Co-ordinator.
