Wickes - Letchworth Reviews 201

From start to finish the support of the Wickes kitchen sales team was absolutely first class.
I did decide to install the kitchen myself, simply because this was the third Wickes kitchen that has been fitted into my house over the years and to be honest I haven’t been disappointed with any of them. The agreed delivery date of the kitchens bits and bobs, as agreed at the time of purchase was the date when the units, worktops and tiles arrived, the boxed carcasses were put within the house at my chosen place by the two guys who arrived in the delivery lorry, everything was there, no shortages and no damaged units or doors or worktops. Unit assembly was straight forward and installation was relatively easy. I did purchase a tin of colour match paint using the kitchen door as the colour sample, absolutely fantastic colour match well worth having this in my opinion.
Now that the walls have been tiled with tiles purchased from Wickes, it looks very nice, both my wife and I are very happy.

Had a home visit by Salvatore and he was great spoke us through the whole process and made everything very simple and was always happy to help/ answer any questions we had, came into the store the next day and he was very helpful once again so decided to proceed with the kitchen 10/10

I visited the store today in Letchworth to exchange some paint, Martin was fantastic he sorted it all out for me great member of staff, thank you.

Delighted with the surveyor that attended.. listened to my requirements and advised accordingly

Wickes’ management of our bathroom install has been appalling. Entering week number 7 for the job, still not complete.
Incorrect items supplied, poor initial survey, skip not collected without an argument….
Tradespeople used are great, but
NEVER AGAIN through Wickes.

Very disappointed. I visit here quite a lot and usually find the staff very helpful (especially Jess!) however today when I visited to look for pine mouldings a gentleman was replenishing the stock. The moulding I was looking for wasn't there so I asked him, excuse me are you replenishing the mouldings? He replied that he was and as I went on to ask for the specific one I wanted, he mumbled and walked away.. I wouldn't mind but he was only too happy to help the lady who asked him for help before me who was wearing tiny shorts! I put down what I'd grabbed so far, walked out and took my business elsewhere. I don't ask for much, I don't think I'm entitled to a pleasant attitude I know we're all only human but ignoring someone is downright rude and in this case has lost you a customer I'm sorry to say.

Popped out for a few bits was served by Alfie outstanding service and went the extra mile to help me out to the car

Just returned from trip to Wickes looking for Dulux paint unable to find this “Alfie” was really helpful and offered to make up this colour he was friendly and efficient and both my partner and I commented on his great service

A very pleasant and helpful young man named Alfie, just mixed me 5 litres of barley white paint today.

I have just returned from Wickes Letchworth and I must compliment Aire who filled my trailer with 7 heavy bags of landscaping bark. He was polite chatty and most helpful. Well done Aire

Since day 1 of our bathroom installation we have had nothing but issues. We are on week 3 of trying to rectify everything that is wrong. Wickes offered £100 compensation which I honestly find an insult as it doesn't cover absolutely anything that we have had to fork out for, that wasn't included or mentioned, or was given false information. The products are poor quality, some of which we didnt even pick ourselves but were just ordered for us.
We have emailed Wickes asking for updates and have been ignored.
To say we are upset, devastated and disappointed with a reputable company is an understatement.

Wickes I replied, giving you the extra information you needed and a week on I am still to have any response!! Customer service is horrendous

Yesterday (2April 26), I visited Wickes to buy a Grout pen. Unfortunately non in stock. I was helped by Izzy from Letchworth shop. She was so polite and genuinely helpful, telling me that new stock had not been put out.
Next day, despite being v busy she recognised me and went off to locate item on own initiative. Wonderful customer service, she was not only helpful but warm & friendly.

We ordered some Lifestyle range kitchen cupboards from Wickes. Sales staff in store were friendly & helpful but are very let down by their totally chaotic customer services & delivery team. We just needed one replacement door but were told it would have to be a whole wall unit & that this could not be collected in store & would have to be sent to our house. They eventually delivered an entire wall unit which was dumped on our doorstep despite telling them several times over that we would be away! Turned out the local store could actually have just opened a box & given us a door straight off the shelf! So beware if they advise you to contact their customer services team, it will be a long & frustrating experience! They only gave us a week to submit an online review so we're sending one here instead. Hope it helps other customers.

I want to say a big thankyou to Salvatore Florenza the design consultant,for his patience,in sorting out my bathroom,this would not have been possible otherwise.iIt's the biggest project i have undertaken,in my property,and with his help,i now have a fantastic bathroom,to show for it,not forgetting the two graet installers,that were recommended

Alfie was really helpful when it came to choosing the right paint and mixing the colours I wanted.

Good experience nice easy shop to get round and to park close to, Alfie at the till was very curtious and helpful , a happy chappy and went out of his way to go and look out the back for two tins of paint for me that weren’t on the shelf

Great service by Alfie - who assisted with cement bags and all the way to car too.
