Wickes - Loughton Reviews 

Went to Wickes in Loughton today where I was served by Al or Ali. He was having a lovely chat about football to his mate also behind the counter. I wished him a good afternoon to which I received no response as he was too busy chatting. He drew himself away from the conversation long enough to scan my purchases and tell me how much. Having made the purchase I then bid him goodbye to which he again failed to respond. This ensured that the whole transaction was carried out without any inter personal interaction and was a stunningly successful example of complete ignorance and Wickes should be ashamed of such staff members.

It is almost impossible NOT to find the stuffs I needed over the years, dealing with WICKES (Loughton). Their extensive range of product simply makes it an inevitable one stop shop for most of my building and home DIY products. The prices are very competitive and being local to me, I would not want to travel any further than necessary. The staffs are always kind and willing to assist where possible. This is especially true with the store Manager, Fish and the deputy, Ron who are always at hand to provide excellent customer service and care. Highly recommended.

He was excellent ,really helpful and knowledgeable and what he didn't know he looked up and found the answer he was a delight and you should be proud to have such a great member of staff with great customer service 👌

I have been using Wickes Loughton for my diy supplies for 18 months, I 've always had good serivce from members of staff, in particular Ron and Fish, the store is tidy and usually well stocked, I can recommend the store without hesitation

Ron was very helpful to advise and explain what I wanted and told me which aisle to get what I wanted

Although the branch has recently undergone a refurbishment, the staff have continued to be helpful and enthusiastic. Great store to work with and I particularly enjoy Ron’s ‘dad jokes’ every morning!

I am a regular in wickes loughon, and I must admit, the staff are always accommodating, knowledgable and keen the assist my needs in anyway. The store is always clean and well stocked, with adequate parking. Special mention going out to Ron, who is always on point with product recommendations and superb customer assistance. Wickes loughton is always my favoured store to visit :)

Wickes Loughton is my go-to for building supplies. Can get most things here, at competitive pricing.

Great support and advice from the kitchen design team particularly Ajay who was very helpful with her time

I have always found the staff helpful when I have gone into the store, but today I had a delivery - just a small order - and the delivery driver was very helpful, told me when he was en route etc. VERY impressed indeed!

I contacted the Loughton store to ask about a new bathroom. Ajay the designer came round, and talked through what I was thinking of. I went into store to discuss the designs she had made, and decided immediately that this was the company I wanted to do my bathroom. Ajay understood exactly what I wanted and created some fabulous options. She described the whole process and made everything so straightforward and easy. The fitter they instructed was Kerry, and I couldn’t be more delighted with the process and finished result. He arrived on time, worked cleanly and described every bit of extra work needed before going ahead (some things are not known until the old bathroom is taken out). He is a perfectionist and extremely skilled tradesman. The delivery of the bathroom components was seamless - all aspects coordinated to be delivered on a convenient day for me.
I have given 5 stars for the Loughton Store. I considered dropping a star due to central processes and aftercare…I had to struggle to get the rubbish collected after the job was finished as this went to waste management and out of Loughton’s hands. Ajay and Kerry did help me with this too! So in future I would want a skip on the road, not a giant bag actually on my property which the waste management company partially emptied a couple of times, reporting the collection as complete.
But overall I would still 100% recommend Wickes, I think I was just a bit unlucky to be caught in clunky central processes.

I visited Wickes Loughton to review and options and plan a new kitchen.
I was assisted greatly in this endeavor by Design Consultant Ajay Yadav. Here style of customer facing communication was exemplary. Her technical knowledge around the options on required appliances and how they could best fit into the installation process provided much reassurance to this customer. Advice and guidance was provided on payment options and Ms Yadav advised that l could always contact if l needed further advice or had any concerns. All together a reassuring purchasing experience.

Visited this store on 21 April and brought 6 bags of postcrete whilst pushing the trolley in the car park a very polite and friendly member of staff by the name of Michael asked if I would like him to put them in my car which I accepted gratefully. Michael was very friendly and very polite and he carefully put all the bags in the back of my car. All the members of staff are friendly and very helpful. Thank you Michael for helping me.

Alfie at the Loughton branch, is a testament to customer service and ever so approachable. In fact most of the staff at the Loughton store are pretty good. Alfie helped with my query and made sure all was good. Great attitude and i commend him for it. A good barometer for others. Thank you

I recently had the pleasure of being assisted by Miss Sophia at Wickes in Loughton, and I felt it was important to recognise the outstanding service she provided. From the moment I approached her, she was both professional and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

Sophia went above and beyond what was expected, taking the time to fully understand what I needed and ensuring I left with the right information and products. Nothing felt like too much trouble for her, and her willingness to help truly stood out.

It’s rare to come across such a high level of customer service, and she is a real credit to the team. Thank you, Sophia, for your excellent support it made a big difference.
