I'm really pleased I went with yourmove…

I'm really pleased I went with yourmove margate. Steve Terry and Kristina were so helpful and very professional and really respectful. While being down to earth aswell. Went through everything with me to get me in my new flat in a very limited time. I would highly recommend yourmove margate.

Keighley branch

I've had a shocking and disgusting experience as a tenant. Promises to call me back with information and updates regarding my tenancy were hardly ever kept. Telephone handlers have terrible attitudes, are rude and refuse to do their job. It was extremely difficult to find out anything, but of course I had little choice but to persist due to the housing situation.

In the week before moving, I had to chase them to complete all the checks, confirm my move in date and hand in my keys. On my move-in day, 26th June 2023, I called yet again to ask the manager, Mark, when I could collect the keys. I explained to him I arranged for a man & van to help me move, and he asked me why & told me off...? I was shocked. Anyway, he went to check with their head office. A few hours later, I called again to confirm whether the keys would be made available to me that morning, and with the little time I had, it made me feel incredibly stressed. Mark then told me in a very condescending way that I wasn't the one making decisions and that I should be waiting for them to tell me when I could collect the keys... Fast forward to when I was on my way there, I called again and insisted I would need my keys as soon as I arrive, otherwise I would be keeping my moving company waiting with my belongings. This time, surprisingly, Mark didn't argue and agreed with me saying I could pick up my keys. How kind of him!

When I arrived at the Keighley branch, I was asked for a confirmation of my payment of the holding deposit - something I had done nearly 2 weeks prior - otherwise he wouldn't give me the keys. I cannot describe how angry, disappointed and stressed I felt in that moment. I thought, not only do I have to chase everyone to do their job, I'd also be stopped from taking what belonged to me if I didn't hand it to them on a silver plate? I eventually said I'd do it and took the keys, but with no intention of making this easy for them. They made everything extremely difficult for me.

When I entered the property, I realised nothing had been cleaned. My viewing was 3 weeks prior to moving, but nothing has changed - dirt, rubbish and a stack of letters were still there. At that point I felt so sick of the situation, I simply cried. The level of ignorance, laziness and incompetence was astonishing.

In the following few days, I called again to ask about who the current energy provider was. Again, no one knew and no call back as promised. I found out eventually when I decided to return the previous tenant's stack of letters.

I complained multiple times - also nothing. I believe they knew very well they were in the wrong. I eventually managed to get in touch with the area manager who was very apologetic and advised Mark was no longer employed there - but resolved nothing.

Fast forward to January 2025, I gave one month's notice I'd be moving out. Naturally, I was asked to clean the property before doing so - this had led to some back and forth in relation to my deposit, so I'd raised the matter with the deposit handler and after providing evidence to all of the above, I got my money back. To think YourMove/the landlord wanted to charge me an extra £200! I laugh in the face of adversity <3

Terrible communication and no follow-up

Communication from the lettings team is terrible. I was given incorrect information, calls are never returned, and you are left having to constantly chase them just to get a simple update.

Fantastic team

We were told our landlord was selling the property we were staying in, and it was a worrying moment. From that point on, Your Move Glenrothes were incredible. They helped us find a new home quickly, explained every step clearly, and supported us throughout the entire process. Their patience, professionalism, and kindness made a huge difference. Peter Monaghan - Brilliant

I’ve been using your move lettings since 2017 and over the past few years Peter Monaghan has been dealing with my rentals for me. Pete is very knowledgeable in his job, works very efficiently and is always happy to help with any questions or problems that arise. He’s a hard worker, makes things happen and is a massive credit to the company. The main reason I have stayed with your move Bromsgrove is knowing Pete is dealing with my properties for me.

They were helpful from the beginning

They were helpful from the beginning. As i dont live in the area they were great at sorting me out with 2 viewings on the same day. Got back to me straight away and left messages if i was unavailable. All the staff i spoke to were professional and friendly. Very easy to deal with.

5 star experience

Couldn’t recommend Your Move enough. From the very beginning of the process they were efficient and friendly. Kept me up to date throughout the process and did everything possible. Catherine in particular was amazing but the whole team were outstanding. After dealing with other estate agents previously I’d recommend Your Move above everyone else.

The best estate agent I have…

The best estate agent I have experienced in my 40 years of buying and selling properties!
Andrew and his team do a fantastic job. Andrew in particular is on the case seven days a week and it was not unusual for him to chase information or update me outside office hours even on a Sunday.
The whole team at the Crewe branch deserve the success that work tirelessly to achieve!
In addition to the great service they are one of the cheapest in the area!
