Selling tickets for 40 years, Zas Ferries isn't just another online ferry website. Founded in all the way back in 1981 on the small Cycladic island of Naxos, we're a small company where our regular customers know us by name. Today we've got two offices in Naxos town and if you ever want to pop in to say hi or have any questions, we look forward to your visit. A couple of years ago we started selling tickets online. But we'll never be a faceless name on the web. We'll continue delivering the personal first class service that we always have - since 1981.

Business Class Playground

My partner and I sat in business class, thinking we would be able to rest & relax but it was like a playground. There were multiple sets of children screaming, running around and even playing loudly with a remote control car. We were extremely disappointed that they were allowed to be so disruptive, as we paid extra $, expecting for business class to be a quiet and respectful space.

From Naxos to Heraklea

My trip was just fine but i noticed there was no help by the staff with the arrangement of luggage and people that had to exit at the first stops had trouble exiting on time and of course great difficulty pulling out of the pile theirs.
Also they should STRICTLY advise the drivers not to start the engine before the door is fully open….we couldn’t breathe due to the exhausts while waiting to exit.

Iraklia tickets office for collection of tickets was CLOSED!

The booking on line was good, the ferry itself was good. BUT, we were I instructed to pick up our tickets from Iraklea Port on Wednesday 10th, but the ticket office was not open. In fact it was never open at the port during our 3 day stay there. We had no choice but to have to buy new tickets in the town. This was really stressful for us thinking we would miss the ferry.

Unfortunately, the operation of local ticket offices is outside our control. In many cases, the office only opens shortly before the ferry departs, and it’s easy to miss them if you pass by earlier in the day. We’re really sorry this wasn’t clear and that it led to such an anxious situation.

For future reference, the port office or local agency should always be able to print your tickets, so there’s no need to purchase new ones. We know that’s not helpful after the fact, but we want to make sure your next experience is much smoother.

Difficult journey

1.I closed my tickets Astypalaia to Nisyros online the mail instructions were to go to astypalaia tours to print it. The very "rude person" told us it's not printable...
2. The nisos kalymnos vessel is definitely not the right one for the trip (6 Beaufort). First time, in my life, I had dizziness and confusion from a sea trip.
But the crew was very polite and ready to help.

More often routes

I wish it had routes from Kissamos to Gytheio more often and all year round.

For me, better buy in person.

I didn't realize I had to print the ticket until after the purchase. This was a problem for me as I don't carry a printer in my pocket. I also had a problem to get a credit card accepted. Other than that, the online purchase was OK. But for me easier to buy a ticket in person.

I'Improved experience

I've had a very good experience buying ferry tickets, and the price is exactly as advertised; they don't charge anything. What I don't like is that they don't issue the ticket and you have to go to the ticket office to pick it up. On top of that, the email says that if you go to the ticket office to pick it up, they might charge you for the processing. I don't understand why they don't send you electronic tickets these days. When I've had to take a ferry where other companies offer the same price, I've preferred to take it with other companies that send the ticket to your email right away.
