My son bought me a consultation voucher for Christmas and what a great present it turned out to be since I cannot praise Zen Maitri enough! The first impression you get from the ambience of the studio is one of calm. The two ladies I met were absolutely delightful and made me feel very special. The thoroughness of the consultation together with expert product knowledge left me feeling very confident that my problem will be, if not solved, then at least, helped. I look forward to an ongoing relationship with them and wholeheartedly recommend them.

This is the best place for alternative medicine located in the heart of Chiswick. They are very professional and friendly and alwayd make you feel at home. I regularly use their immunity tincture which has supported my health throughout the pandemic and even after it.

Sara is a wonderful person and herbalist. With her professional but kind approach she really takes her time to find the root cause of the health problem. I can't recommend her enough if you need some support but want to go the natural path.

I have been able to work with Zen for a good two years now and have recently started consultations with one of the Herbal practitioners. I was given a comfortable amount of time to express my health and well-being concerns and it wasn’t just about health, she really wanted to understand the whole me. I was thereafter given a protocol to implement into my daily routines and lifestyle pointers too. You get to choose what form of herbal products you want to try and so far I have seen a huge benefit to the gut health concerns and anxiety too. Amazing follow ups and I am able to ask for adjustments too.

Meditation at Zen Maitri with teacher Laurent Roure

I enjoyed several meditation sessions offered by Zen Maitri. These sessions are taught by Laurent Roure and are available on line using Zoom. They last approximately one hour starting with some general relaxation techniques followed by meditation using the breath as an anchor point. The relaxation techniques consisting of gentle stretching and twisting movements are similar in each session but breathing techniques are varied and flexible to suit individual preference and ability. The teacher Laurent Roure has a wealth of experience and knowledge of meditation techniques and is able to create a relaxed and informal environment that encourages mindfulness. He has a friendly and open manner that helps to keep the atmosphere relaxed.

As a participant one can choose the Zoom settings (video/ audio) that suit you, so one can decide whether to remain visible and audible to the group or not. Once the session is underway the teacher mutes all participants.

At the outset, an hour seems almost too long for such a exercise but I was surprised how quickly the time passed. This is an excellent way of meditating and learning meditation techniques especially in the current circumstances where travelling to and participating in ‘live’ meetings is difficult.

Zen Maitri is my regular go to apothecary. The herbalists are very knowledgeable and helpful. They look after the needs of the individual. through prescribing specific herbal remedies. The rose teas are always a treat as well as healing as they include the herbs for a specific purpose.

Zen Maitri products are amazing! From the wonderful hair oil to the tinctures and natural antibacterial sprays, each made with the best quality ingredients. I’m keen to try more products, but I already have a sense that this place has well-being at its heart!

The Zen Maitri team have helped sort me out through PPE-induced eczema with a gentle moisturiser, as well as through my pregnancy with herbal tea and most recently, a post-partum bath soak.
