ZipHearing was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their price was better by far than I was quoted locally, they referred me to a great audiologist and Shawn Muth was terrific. Even when my insurance company dropped the ball on my claim, ZipHearing got it straightened out with no input from me. Why aren’t more companies this good?

Not accepting insurance was a big NO for me.

ZipHearing took the initiative to handle all interactions with my insurance company including getting pre-approval, filingthe insurance claim, and then following up to ensure that I got the insurance reimbursement. The local provider was friendly and efficient. The cost was about $3K less than quoted by another provider.

I was fitted for a hearing aid from another company, when I saw an ad for Zip Hearing. After speaking to Grant at Zip Hearing, I was able to purchase the exact same top of the line hearing aid from Zip Hearing, for $900 less than the already discounted price of the other company. Whether you already know the hearing aid that's best for you or need to be fitted for one from scratch, Zip Hearing will refer you to one of their network audiologists near you, who will test your hearing and custom fit and adjust the appropriate hearing aid for you. As I had many questions and concerns, Grant provided fantastic customer service and went above and beyond to make getting my first set of hearing aids a very smooth, stress free and highly professional eeperience.

I had been on a journey to acquire new hearing aids since May 2025. At that time, my 4th and current, 6-year old pair of hearing aids were not providing the level of performance I needed. My current audiologist fitted me with 2 different brands of hearing aids neither of which worked well for me. They also cost well over $6,000 a pair. When I purchased my Unitron's 6 years ago, I was working and my insurance covered $2000 of the cost. Still, I paid $4200 for the pair and some accessories - 6 years ago!!!I I am now retired and on Medicare. I figured if I was going to have to spend that much, that I would look at hearing aid reviews online and get the latest and greatest technology. I found an audiologist who sold the brand of hearing aid I was interested in. I was thrilled when he told me my Medicare supplement plan would provide a discount. The problem is that they don't cover the latest and greatest, but rather those that were 2 generations older. I then saw some reviews in the latest issue of Consumer Report. Based on that, I ordered a pair of Jabra's online, direct from the manufacturer because they got great reviews. When I received them, I called to have them programmed over the phone. Based on an audiology report I provided to them, they said they couldn't do it because my hearing loss was too profound for the max settings on "OTC" hearing aids. I returned them. They did say that if I went to Costco, they could provide a pair of Jabra's that could be programmed. I went to Costco but they fitted me with another brand and they didn't work out. Then I went to Beltone. They were having a special promotion weekend and I thought I found some luck. The hearing aids they provided were the best of all the ones I had tried, but they cost $6300 a pair. Unfortunately, all their promotion provided was 0% financing. I felt certain I was doomed to have to pay that high price to get the hearing Aids I needed. Then I saw the price of the Resound hearing aids (which are made by the same manufacturer and are exactly the same as the Beltone's) on ZipHearing.com. Fearing this was an OTC provider, I hesitated to contact them, but what did I have to lose? As it turns out I had everything to gain.
After just moving to Florida in November, I called ZipHearing.com to learn more about them. Grant Davidson informed me that he would connect me with a local audiologist who would be able to fit me with the hearing aids I desired or ones that best suited my needs. That is exactly what happened. I not only got the Resound Hearing Aids but Grant connected me to one of the best audiologists I have had over the life of my hearing aid wearing.
Grant was professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, informative, and accommodating. I wish I could find more positive adjectives to describe him. It was truly a pleasure working with him and it was the happiest $3800 dollars I had ever spent. Purchasing hearing aids in any other way than through ZipHearing.com would just be "unheard" of. Discovered Zip Hearing when researching hearing aids and seeking high rated HA’s at a good value. Local HA company offered the same unit at considerable more cost and was pleased to learn they worked with Zip. Positive interactions with Derrick at Zip made purchase seamless. I would work with them again, but hopefully not soon. 😁

If you are hesitant to use this company, don’t be. Absolutely seamless process .

As an extra bonus, I discovered that my previous provider’s testing was no where near as extensive as my new Zip provider.

My husband needed to purchase new hearing aids after 6 years. Our previous provider had moved so we were dealing with a new company. After a lengthy visit, the new hearing aids, Resound, were deemed his best product. As more research was initiated by us, we came upon Ziphearing and Derrick, a great combination! Phonak 90 is the best hearing aid system I have had in 10 years using hearing aids.

The price was so reasonable I had never seen any top quality hearing aid system that came even close to it.

Buying it directly from ZIP was a major positive decision

The problem I had was that my local audiologists they have are not very good. They advertise that 95% of people have a ZipHearing provider within just 9 miles. I live in Southern NH, a suburb of Boston, yet their closest local provider was 45 minutes(30 miles) away. There were 2 other providers but both had terrible reviews.
I did go to the closest provider and he had pretty good reviews. It took about 2 weeks to get an appointment. I knew which HA’s I was interested in ( Phonak sphere 90’s). I had a complete hearing assessment from a local hospital which was only 6 months old so I brought a copy with me to the appointment.
I gave the audiogram to the provider. He didn’t do any hearing testing at all or ask my about my hearing difficulties.He called Zip and ordered the HAs and I needed custom ear molds so he prepared the molds which he sent to Phonak to be made.
I got a call in 4 weeks that everything was in. Arrived at his office while he set up the hearing aids. I asked him to set up some custom programs for me. I was there for about 1/2 an hour. At that point, he complained that the HAs were too complicated for him and said he was sending them back to Zip because he couldn’t work with them. I walked out without the new HAs.
While Zip was very professional and refunded the purchase price in full, the entire experience was a complete waste of time. The problem I realized was that Zip doesn’t vet their providers very well. The new HAs are very sophisticated yet the Zip provider I went to didn’t educate himself on the newer technologies.
Do your homework and make sure the provider you select is educated and up to date on the technology. I learned that while the HAs are important, without a good audiologist, you won’t be hearing as well as you could be. The after service is more important than I realized. I’m going to go to a qualified audiologist and pay full price to get what I need. When it comes to your hearing, don’t short change yourself.

Buying my hearing aids was made so much easier and so much less expensive by Zip Hearing. Derrick Pirkey answered every question with out ever making me feel foolish for asking any of them. I found them through the Soundly website. Thanks to Derrick I would absolutely give Zip 10 stars if I could!!!

After paying thousands for 2 pairs of hearing aids in 10 years, I found a gem in ZipHearing! My local audiologist quoted me $6500 for my next pair of Resound’s. I decided to do a little research and found ZH amongst others. From the first phone call with Derrick, I was hooked! I tried Phonaks and was unhappy, then I went back to the top of the line Resound instead. The exchange during the 45 day trial period was easily done because Derrick often would tell me: “I want you to be satisfied.” How can you beat that???

Derrick was totally knowledgeable about his products, he set me up with a local audiologist and he was easy to contact if I had any issues.

This is a new business model for this septuagenarian, but I’m pleased to say that I saved $2500 and had a good experience with a great outcome!

I just purchased a hearing aid through this superior organization, and I am pleased with the assistance and expertise that Derek and ZipHearing provided in helping me acquire it.

Derek helped me select a quality hearing aid, located and scheduled a local representative to do the necessary hearing aid fittings. It took less than four days from my first contact with Derek to getting my hearing aids in my ears.

On top of providing such superior assistance, they charged the cheapest price for this unit of any site that I was able to find on the Internet. In fact, they adjusted my price lower when I found cheaper price after I had initially purchased the unit.

I don’t know the story behind the negative comments but they are bull as far as I’m concerned! Something smells fishy about them.
I got my Widex aids from them and they hooked me up with a great local fitter who has taken excellent care of me ever since. They also saved me $1000.00 over what I was quoted by local audiologists I consulted before I found them. To tell the truth, I can’t remember how I found them! (I’m 83 and I’m not sure what I had for supper!) All I can say is they are a first-rate outfit and Jeff took great care of me after too many years of competition shooting and my squad car siren (retired big-city cop) wrecking my high-frequency hearing.
Ignore the negative stuff.

A friend bought a set of phonak hearing aides and told me about the two chip technology and was really happy with there performance. I was researching them online and happened on to Zip hearing. I called and discussed them with Derrick Pirkey of Zip hearing. He walked me through the process and and answered all my questions. I bought the top of the line phonaks and ended up saving $2800 on the pair over what my long time audiologist would sell them for!
