I was shocked to find that RAC policy dictated that a tyre blowout incident due to a pothole, requiring "Relay" counts as a normal claim that would either lose your NCB and/or affect your premiums for next 5 years. This could cost you between £500-£1000 on your standard insurance policy. Luckily, I also had an INDEPENDENT "relay" cover policy which I called upon. As they could not meet their service-level, they organised a mobile tyre fitter to fit a new tyre & covered £200 of my £270 cost - Result!
Lesson: Always have separate "relay" policy cover to 'protect' your main insurance policy!
[PS: I don't know if this 'pothole policy' is just RAC or across the market.]

These speed awareness courses are really good at reminding you about what is important when driving. The instructor (Rich Smith) brought this course alive with great examples & little sayings / mnemonic aids to help you remember important points. One useful aspect that should be publicised even more, also outside the course, was how the speed rolls off when you are braking & how most of the residual speed is left at the END of your stop.

Flagstone offers customers a mix of savings products from instant access to 1-2 year fixed terms. Amongst these products there are (nearly) always some market leading rates - currently (23-08) this is the HSBC instant access now paying over 5%.
As you fund & de-fund your external bank-based savings from/to your linked-account, you are sent progress emails to keep you aware. My only wish would be to have immediate transfer via open-banking APIs both ways between the holding account & your linked account.

This appears to be a good, competitive service offering a good range of savings products. The 5th star is withheld due to (a) a slightly confusing set up process because the emails were delivered out-of-sequence & (b) tardiness in refunding a deposit paid in from the wrong account (my own stupid mistake!).

This is an app-only saving range that is good, in terms of rate(s) offered, ease-of-use, & ethical investment backbone. As it uses open-banking, my experience of transactions response-time is that they typically happen within 1 hour, or 2 at the outside. The only reason for 4 stars & not 5 is that other saving apps get an immediate (within 1 minute) response-time using open-banking.

The refer-a-friend & joining bonus are the icing on the cake of the 'best of a bad bunch' current interest rates. The bonuses mean you're getting top returns, at least for the 1st 6 months, after which you can reconsider your options. Also, very helpful on the phone, when the FAQs don't quite cover your queries.
