Bought a refurbished Knoll Generation chair from these guys in 2021. Initially, they sent me a somewhat faulty item (one of the adjustments wasn't working properly) that they nevertheless replaced soon.

However, less than two years later, all three screws have fallen off the seat and the plastic is damaged so they can't be screwed back on. Bear in mind this is a chair that holds a 12-year guarantee by the manufacturer, so it's not expected to be so easy to break. Also, the refurbishment these guys do is basically reupholstering, for which they remove the seat and then screw it back on - the exact thing that's broken now.

I also found out that they are in administration since November, and they're not replying to customer service enquiries either. I wonder if I'll have to just get rid of this chair now.

Having ordered 5 office chairs, all of them did not have the necessary screws for the chairs to be functional. I've been trying to contact 2ndHnd by phone and by email a number of times over the past few weeks now and with exception of one phone response where I was assured the missing screws will be posted out (which they haven't), there has been no response to rectify the issue. I'm now stuck with packaged chairs in their boxes sitting in our office taking up space and no way to obtain the right type of screws!

I've previously never had such issues - and this last episode, with no resolution has really left a bad feeling!

Hello, I ordert A Steelcase leap 2 with move able armrest and Lumbersupport what do i get , a chair with static armrest and no Lumbersupport they gave me 50 pound as compensation and said they send me the Missing Parts. 3 Month later after my holiday still no Armrest and Lumbersupport ?! Why u response and appease me to just tillt me again i dont get it!

Great customer service. There was a small issue with the product, but it was resolved quickly and without any hassle.

Great company, chair only took a few weeks to be delivered and we are delighted with it :)

Wasn’t overly impressed with the state of the chair when I received it - dirty, scratched - only the backing had been replaced. Well, said backing has just ripped, so looks like I’ll be on my own with this one.
Jokers is the polite term for them. Advice to the owners: don’t bother trying to run any other companies

Great to see such quality office chairs available refurbished. Very much in favour of buying this way to reduce my CO2 footprint. Delivered with all parts required for self assembly. Took about a fortnight from order to delivery. Great service!

The product is great and so was the price. It's just a shame the customer service doesn't match.
Getting a high quality refurbished branded chair for a fraction of the price of a new one is a no brainer.
The quality is great and it looks like new. When I placed the order I was advised it would be delivered in 5-10 working days. After 10 days with no updates I had to go back to find out why there was a delay. I was told, don't worry, the chair would be despatched shortly. Unfortunately it wasn't, so I had to contact them again only find out there was an issue with the new the arms from their supplier. One month later and with no prior warning, I received an email advising the chair would be delivered the next day. Unfortunately I was away on holiday and had to arrange for a neighbour to sit in and wait for the delivery to be made.
I totally accept supply chain issues out of their control can affect delivery. But I do expect to be kept updated and advised of the situation. It's a real shame that poor customer service let down a great product.

Chair arrived with a screw missing in the arm so the arm constantly rotates. I have contacted the company many times and all my emails are ignored. Also the chair that arrived was not the chair I ordered and the chair was supposed to be delivered in 5 to 10 working days and it took 17. When asked when it would arrive all they could say was the warehouse “hope to” get it out this week. Customer service is terrible. Would not recommend.

The chair I purchased was great apart from the fact the arms started to break after one week. Customer service agreed to replace them weeks ago and I've heard nothing since. No reply from 2nd hand.com,despite numerous emails and phone calls. Appalling service

Die Bestellung und Lieferung meines Schreibtischstuhls lief reibungslos. Leider ging dieser nach 2 Wochen Nutzung kaputt. Man sagte mir, dass ich einen neuen Stuhl bekommen würde, aber ich wollte lieber mein Geld zurück. Auch das wurde akzeptiert und die Zahlung eingeleitet - angeblich. Leider kam das Geld nie auf meinem Konto an. Auf meine E-Mails wird seit Wochen nicht mehr reagiert. Egal was in dem Laden gerade los ist, die Kommunikation mit den Kunden komplett einzustellen ist unprofessionell und nicht akzeptabel. Ich muss jetzt einen Anwalt einschalten und bleibe zusätzlich auf den Kosten für die Entsorgung des kaputten Stuhls sitzen. Shame on you 2ndHnd.

Chair is great but not what was advertised, different colour delivered then I was ignored when responding to customer services. They admitted the website was wrong but failed to help.
