friendly, on-time when was dispatched. Caring in the way he handled of your vehicle getting it ready for tow. Very Efficient in his work.

I tolerated the 1 hour and 30 minutes wait time. But then he was 25 minutes late after that. Once he finally showed up, he did a great job.

It exceeded my experience with towing. The driver was great! The timing was awesome.

They are not good and if you have them I except you to cancel because I was out of town when my car broke down and I used my car insurance to get home only for me to call them and get a person who barely speaks English well only to have them mess up my name the state I’m in and the mileage on my car they ask for proof of miles and maintenance of the car sent it in only for them to sending me on the run around about my car they are not good at all no I don’t recommend them to anyone they have poor service and customer service I should of stayed with my dealerships coverage no would never recommend no one on top of it all they still take money out my account every month that I never authorize at all. My vehicle broke down on a Sunday and I had to get it repaired to get home for work on Monday. Pep Boys was the only place open on Sunday. I paid them just over $1,200 for the work. I submitted the claim and I was only reimbursed for $777. The company is not able to provide any details of how they reached that dollar amount. This company is a SCAM. Please do not purchase a policy from them.

My issue is that one mechanical failure led to another, so that failure is not covered. I had a seal on a rear differential leak. Didn't see any visual evidence of that. Just the car started to vibrate and make a low end rumbling noise. That failure was corrected and paid for less the deductible.
That corrected the issue for a while - then the symptoms returned. Needs a rear differential. They won't honor the claim because it was run low on fluid. But the tech wouldn't state that it needed a rear differential based on that. The logical path is to repair the obvious failure and monitor the results. I argued with them trying to use logic - didn't work.
This isn't the first claim to be denied. They seem okay to authorize cheaper repairs, but not the bigger ones. At least in my dealing with them. I would be very careful putting money into a warranty with this company. They always duck conversations using logic and logical paths of repair. They suck.

So i had car shield for a year now now. Never used it until this morning. My engine light came on so i called my garage and they took me in this morning. They figured out what was wrong with my vehicle and contacted car shield. They said they do not cover that part??? REALLY ITS NOT IN MY MANUAL? so argued with them to cancel it. i was transferred to every dept. in bldg? they were very rude, unprofessional. I just wanted it cancelled! i paid them over 1200. for the year, thinking when i needed this service it would be available to me? NOPE! so save your money then you could pay for 150.00 maintenance bill with the money that they SCAMMED OFF OF YOU!

This company is amazing. They covered my transmission and didn't hassle me at all. I'll be using them for life and will recommend them to all my friends and family.

Buyer Beware! There's a sucker born every minute. Don't be that sucker. Anyone who enters into a auto warranty contract with Carshield or American Auto Shield could the next fool. Read the fine print. Companies like these will do everything in their power to NOT pay a claim.

I was sold policy through Car Shield. They gave incorrect information. When I provided a recording of my phone call with car shield to American Auto Shield, they verified with they own recording but said it doesn't matter. They don't have to honor anything said by Car Shield. Also, you have to understand with this type of policy, that you have to sign a contract for pymt with the repairshop PRIOR to American Auto Shield even being asked to approve the repair, that you will pay for the tear down and rebuild to get to the part in question. After contacting the 3 shops in my area who are willing to work with American Auto Shield, you have a 50/50 chance of approval. Save your money, the monthly pymts in the bank and pay for your own repairs.

WARNING! Stay far away from Car Shield and American Auto Shield. They are a scam! They refuse to pay the cost of parts and labor quoted by a certified auto repair facility. A gas pump that costs $875, Car Shield/American Auto Shield only offered to pay $200. The repair facility said it would take 2 hours to fix, Car Shield/American Auto Shield only agreed to pay for 1 hour. Leaving the rest of the cost on us. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Stay far away!

Worse company ever. I was told my vehicle needed a transmission. I use Carshield My contact list it covers transmissions. American Auto Shield told me my claim was denied because it was for an electronic part. Now I cant get my vehicle fixed These companies should be shut down because they rip people off. Thanks for nothing

Worst Experience ever

I was denied because of the waiting period but there was a mistake on the mileage from the shop that replaced my tires
and I explained that there is no way I drove 1500 miles in 8 days with my car's condition
in the dispute i filed

my Technical Claims Adjuster ( James Vinebel ) didn't even reply to me to tell me that even if i correct the invoice the claim will remain denied
I had to call them to see what's going on

I should have known that my claim will be denied because when I went to MB dealer they told me this is the worst insurance that we deal with and some people that work in that dealer said they wont even accept to work with someone who has Carshield or American Auto Shield because they are both the same company

so save yourself the time and money and find a good insurance that would cover your issue

My Mother, your contract holder, who is 76 years old has been without a vehicle since 5/30. As of today, 7/10 nothing has been done or paid on the claim. The company paid for 1 week of rental car coverage and then nothing else. She has been out of pocket almost $600 in Uber rides and having to pay for a rental herself. I wonder if the CEO would allow his mother to be treated this way.

This is a scam. Run away from them. I wasted 3 years paying for this crap. 2 claims made. 2 claims denied. They are weasels!!! Shame on Trust Pilot for even doing business with them.

Absolutely crap company. No help with claims. And dont cover what they say is covered.

THEY WILL LIE AND ACCUSE YOUR OF THINGS TO NOT COVER YOUR CLAIM. They discriminate against women. Their "customer service" is terrible. SAVE YOUR MONEY and use a different company!

I have had Carshield/American Auto Shield for three months, paying them $209 monthly. My starter went out this past weekend. Using the Carshield/American Auto shield app I found a mechanic shop with good reviews close to home. I had my car towed there and provided the mechanic with all the information needed. The mechanic shop was hesitant to accept me because they said typically they run into problems with Carshield/American Auto Shield, but she took it anyway. I received a call from the claims adjuster. He started by saying my out-of-pocket expense would $384. (I just paid my monthly premium of $209 that day as well). I asked for the breakdown of how I am paying that much. Here it goes. I had my $100 deductible, plus I am paying for a small portion of the labor out-of-pocket (no biggie), but here's the kicker. They are only covering $59.99 for a starter. I went to Google to see the average price for a refurbished/remanufactured starter, and it was a little over $100. Since I was still on the phone with claims when I looked this up I informed the adjuster. He said well we have that part in our warehouse and will ship it to the mechanic. The mechanic shop doesn't take random parts from places they don't know because they won't be able to guarantee the work. I asked the claims man what are my other options. He said I could have the car towed to another location that will take the random shipped-in parts. I asked him to find me that place. He said he was not able to and I would need to find a place that accepts Carshield/American Auto Shield policies (and loopholes). I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told I had one call me within 2 hours. It is now the next day and I am NOT able to get ahold of the supervisor nor has anyone attempted to call me. I spent the morning calling various places most won't work with Carshield/AAS and the few I had that would take Carshield/AAS won't take the shipped in part from the unfamiliar source. Not to mention to move my vehicle to another facility I would have to pay the current facility's diagnostic out of pocket and add more wait time to my claim. Being a mom of 2 living where there is no public transportation routes, time and being budget mindful is important for me. Carshield/AAS will hit me with all the technicalities and loopholes of why they can lowball prices and leave customers stuck between a rock and a hard place. I will say $59.99 is not industry standard or normal for a Nissan starter, even a refurbished one. Sales tactics are very snake-like, and claims will use every technicality and loophole to screw the customer over. Just because it's legal to find these loopholes doesn't make it right, or moral. Carshield/AAS is known to claim "industry standard" but really don't go by that. (false information given is not legal). Not only in 3 months Carshield/AAS received $650 in premiums from me I also had to pay $384 for my repair. I thought I was doing something to protect my family and myself but instead hurt us by getting Carshield/AAS. In this economy of people struggling I really didn't need to be hustled by a company that was supposed to help. Having this service was supposed to provide peace of mind. Instead, it has made my blood pressure rise (I don't even have high blood pressure) causing stress migraines along with endless tears. I would tell anyone not to get Carshield/AAS. Not to mention still waiting on the basic service of having Jesus the supervisor call me...I am pretty sure I am going to get hit with the lack of accountability "we are not the claims administrator blah blah blah." yet that is who Carshield contracts with to administrator the claims.
