I have used AMS (Access Mortgage Solutions) for several years, both for mortgages and remortgages, and their service has always been outstanding. The team is incredibly supportive and helpful, guiding me through every step of the process and keeping me informed throughout the journey.

Recently, I had to remortgage two properties, and while there were a couple of minor hiccups on the first property, these were trivial in the grand scheme of things compared to the excellent service Luke and the team have consistently provided. It’s important to mention that despite these small bumps, the overall experience was fantastic, particularly with the remortgage that has just been completed.

After being rejected from a high street lender , Luke secured us an offer within a week. I read some reviews of AMS, and was a little sceptical that the company would be out to charge me sky high fees and tie me into costly agreements. This was not the case. Shanita, his colleague was diligent in pressing us to getting all our documents submitted in a timely manner. In all honesty Luke was our last chance saloon,Well done guys and thanks again !!!

AMS mortgages have been amazing from start to finish. We went to them as an accidental missed mortgage payment had knocked my credit rating. Where do I start what a fantastic company AMS are. There staff are so polite and really helpful I mean really helpful nothing is to much trouble for them. I dealt with shanita mostly who is fantastic and so caring and genuine but also luke and clare and everybody else just give there all for you. I contacted the company and spoke with Luke Taylor, haven't dealt with him last year when completing a mortgage.

There is a lack of communication and you have to be chasing up on the status of an application. Last year I was provided incorrect information and had to chase up Luke to provide me correct information on fees and what the status of my application was on multiple times.

Recently I contacted the Luke again for another mortgage and again lack of communication and incorrect information was supplied by the lender, obviously lesson were not learnt from last year.

I spoke with his manager David McCrum who I found to be very abrupt and was more about masking over the upset I had and getting the work done.

They both could learn better how to listen to the customers and show some consideration on the customers needs. They both seem not interested when a client is upset regarding incorrect information been passed on or being accused of something that isn't true.

I felt that I could no longer use them has a broker and I have gone else. Beware of the the two staff I have mentioned.

We reached out to AMS mortgages for support in obtaining our first mortgage. Luke was exceptional in obtaining us a mortgage in principle within an hour and was in constant communication with us throughout for guidance and support.

Claire then took over and seen us through until the official mortgage offer. Claire was fantastic in keeping us updated on every step of the process.

I can't thank AMS enough for a smooth transition into becoming a home owner and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to obtain a mortgage.

Where do I start with my review! From start to finish AMS provided me with fantastic support and knowledge regarding my tricky mortgage application! Ams have secured my mortgage offer which was great. I did tell them i to recommend me the fastest solicitors although the solicitors they recommended are useless and they charge well above market price, not sure why i was recommended to them. AMS are great and would recommend that you use them if you are struggling to get a mortgage and can afford there fees.

2nd time using AMS in the space of a year, first class service from start to finish, Luke, Claire and Shanita go above and beyond to help and I have no hesitatation in recommending them. If these guys can't sort things then it can't be done. Thank you again for all your help and support!

Update from initial review left on 16th June 2024:

Unfortunately for me, the first lender I was due borrow from would only provide 80% of what had been requested in my mortgage application, due to the strength of my overall case and queries with the lease of the property.

Luke immediately came to me with a new offer after taking into consideration my changing circumstances (i.e. I had been offered a new job with a higher salary so he was able to use these details), which helped to secure my mortgage offer, alongside the queries of the lease being resolved.

Throughout my journey, AMS have sorted absolutely everything. They have kept me well informed during the process and in my experience they have always responded to any of my queries the same day. Not only have they supported with the mortgage application, but Luke has helped to source life insurance for me which not only gave me the best premiums but the best cover if worst case scenario, my health should decline to a terminal/critical illness.

There was a lot of terminology and T&Cs that I didn't quite understand after reading the information pamphlets initially provided, and Luke took the time to answer all of my questions, so that I was fully informed. I really appreciated his time and clarification. I had never really considered life insurance before - being a 27 year old that does take care of her health and fitness, so this was a big help for him to sort out on my behalf.

The staff at AMS are so dedicated and efficient at what they do. I have had a really positive experience, and I'm so thankful to them for helping me to secure a mortgage offer and life insurance, whilst considering my needs and circumstances. They were initially recommended to me by a mutual friend of another client, and if anyone is looking for an independent financial advisors to proceed with - I would sincerely recommend their services.

Obtaining a mortgage with restrictions is extremely difficult. I finally found a mortgage broker, Connor, Luke, Claire and Shanita who were fabulous. They managed to get me a mortgage to allow me to purchase my first property. My family and I are highly grateful for their seamless service and professionalism. They have made a life changing step for us and we will forever be grateful to them. They guided us through the process and were on hand to assist us with any doubts and questions we had. I don't think 5 stars even does AMS justice - their service has been absolutely impeccable from my first call to them to receiving the full mortgage offer. Luke, Claire and Shanita have all been exceptional! They have always been extremely quick to respond to queries, answer any and all questions, and provide support throughout the whole process which as a first time buyer was really appreciated. The turnaround times were amazing as well, especially with my complex circumstances. Admittedly, I didn't think I would be able to get a mortgage but thought I'd try AMS just in case and was very pleasantly surprised! For context, at the point of application I was self-employed for less than 2 years and had bad credit. Really can't thank them enough for how great they've been and highly recommend them, especially if you have unique circumstances or are a contractor. Will definitely use them again in the future!
