Anderson James
When you telephone Anderson James, you speak to a real person promptly. That person is often an engineer who actually does jobs and so understands immediately what you are asking for.
The website is equally informative and easy to use.
The engineers actually turn up when they say they are going to; and contact you in advance to make sure it’s convenient for them to attend.
In my experience, the engineer was courteous, knowledgeable and extremely competent. He came for an inspection visit for my dual fuel cooker, diagnosed all the problems and ordered all the appropriate parts. He came for a second visit to service the appliance and then made clear that all the work was covered by a six month guarantee with free remedial call-back already covered.
I would not say the service was cheap, nor would I say given the high quality of the service that it was overpriced.
It is rare, sadly, these days to get what you pay for. I certainly feel I have got that from Anderson James.
Dishwasher wasn’t draining
Dishwasher wasn’t draining. All my efforts to rectify were in vain! Annoyingly Anderson James sorted in short order. The engineer instantly knew what the issue was and resolved very quickly. Could not recommend enough. Engineer phoned ahead of time and was early! Really nice guy would defiantly use them again!
Shocking booked and paid for engineer…
Shocking booked and paid for engineer visit no one rang or showed up. I am 69 years old without a working washing machine. Litigation to follow. Do NOT use this company. Be warned

I submitted a form on Saturday 6th July. I was able to book a slot for a visit and my washing machine was up and running by 10.30 on Monday thanks to careful attention of the friendly engineer. Couldn’t be happier!
Brilliant service and will definitely use again
Booked my appliance repair lastnight using their website, easy booking system and was able to get an appointment the very next day and booked the morning slot. I had a phone call this morning to let me know that the engineer was on his way. After an inspection of our tumble dryer the engineer identified the issue and took the time to explain the fault and show this on the machine itself. He was very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. Really impressed, great service and would definitely use again.
DONT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY
Absolutely poor service, very fast to take payment and that's where is goes wrong.
The fault they said I had on my washer dryer, was not fixed after the part they said I needed was fitted.
Not sure how you got a part fitted with the appliance still fitting into the kitchen?
From here on in I was passed from call to call, the workman clearly knew they did a shoddy job and kept passing me over.
After over a week of trying to get a call out to show me what work they did and try to fix the issue, I was lied to about missed calls and failed attempts at my house to resolve the issue.
Sadly I was at home with a new baby and my ring door bell and phone prove them to be liars.
Overall poor workmanship and atrocious call back and attendance.
Wasted my money on a part that never worked and probably never needed.
Look elsewhere if your in need of repairs on washers and dryers.

They are truly knowledgeable, professional, courteous and just lovely people to top it off. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
I’ve used them several times now and each time they’ve sorted out my problems. We need more companies like them!

Brilliant company! Am definitely going to call again for any of my plumbing problems! Out within less than 2 hours… professional job done, and lovely plumber, super friendly and very helpful!

Very unhappy. And I still don’t understand how it is possible. My husband contacted this company yesterday about repairing our cooker. They made an appointment very quickly and as my husband understood, for 110 pounds they would come and repair it. He explained what exactly was broken. We didn’t need for a person to come and see that the numbers on the display were not fully illuminated, and within two minutes found on his computer that replacing the display would cost 500 pounds, as a result, 110 pounds had to be paid for just looking on the computer how much it will cost. All this could be found out via phone or via email. The man who was in my house for 5 minutes took 110 pounds for practically nothing. I will not repair the cooker for 500 pounds plus another 110. I can buy cheaper, all this could be found out over the phone and be more fair to their clients. I'm still confused about what happened. When I was surprised, he told me that this had been arranged over the phone. But since it was possible to call only during working hours, my husband called this person during the working day and understood as he understood. We could not imagine that such an absurdity of 110 pounds for 5 minutes was realistic. We could just send a photo of the display... In the end, he wished me a good day! thank you very much!

ok, those were emotions and now there will be facts. Fact first: we called about repairing my kitchen machine, a man came and made a diagnosis just by looking at it, because the lights weren’t shining, you can’t make a mistake in the diagnosis - the microcircuit wasn’t working. within a couple of minutes, he found a spare part on the Internet and told me that it cost 260 pounds, to which he also added 250 for the work and the man thought that it was ok to pay 620 pounds for the repair of the cooker because the diagnostic fee was 110 pounds. Fact second: my son is 22, not an 'experienced engineer'. I asked him to help me with this problem, within 2 minutes he found this microcircuit on the official AEG website that cost 155 pounds + 5 pounds delivery and not 260 as this person told me. Anyone can buy this microcircuit, you don’t have to be a trader, and I was shocked again because of this fraud. I asked my husband, who is also not an 'experienced engineer' as well, to see if he could change the microcircuit. Having never done this in his life, he disassembled and reassembled the top of the cooker within 20 minutes. all the work is to unscrew four plus two bolts and insert the microcircuit into the socket. When we realized that we could do this, we bought the chip ourselves and now I have a perfect working cooker. The whole chip replacement took my husband 15 minutes, for which they wanted another 250 pounds.. As a result, the repair of my cooker cost me 160 pounds and 110 pounds which I paid for 'super diagnostics'. In my opinion, coming and earning 110 pounds in 15 minutes is good, but not for this company and I'm not interested in what you can tell me about this. You already said everything in my house when you lied to my face even for the price of a spare part. You thought that it was not enough to charge 110 + 250 pounds for repairing a cooker. You also deceived me with the cost of the microcircuit.. Fact third: I wanted to repair my cooker not because I don’t have enough money to buy a new one. I am doing everything possible so that our poor planet is not immersed in so much garbage. But these kinds of companies only contribute to the increase in waste on this planet. I showed you the price formation in this company; draw your own conclusions. If you decide to use his services, buy spare parts yourself or ask for invoices, because you will probably be deceived even in this

Very disappointed!
Very disappointed!! Think before using as could cost you lots of money and nothing repaired.
Called out in March 18/3, and paid the call out fee of £90. First visit I was told need a new sump and paid and ordered through them new sump costing £221.62, told it would take 3 to 5 days to arrive. Part arrived 27/3, came to fit sump 3/4.
3/4 when going to fit told, needed more parts as appears a mouse chewed wires, not seen a mouse but told very common for them to chew dishwashers. Next new part to be ordered costing £318.77.
Came to fit new parts 22/3, fitted parts and switched on to find still not working......
After a little further investigation it was found computer board gone and told would cost as much as dishwasher and nothing could be done.
I asked if they would return new parts to get a refund to be told only the second part not the sump as takes to long to get off!!
£90.00 call out fee I understand and accept. I do not accept not being given a choice for all parts to be sent back for a refund so out of pocket £311 and no working dishwasher......
I wouldn't recommend people use this firm. I did ask on first visit that if not fixed would parts be sent back for refund and told yes!!!
If it is there choice not to remove parts for refund then I think they should foot that bill. In today's day age of cost of living crisis people cannot afford to loose such amounts of money. If they should I would need to charge £50 to remove due to time it took then fine that would still be less out of pocket.
If I had paid and used domestic general instead I would not be so out of pocket. Use domestic general, they come and fix quicker and doesn't cost you the earth.
