Great experience from start to now . Journey has been pleasant and not as difficult as I first thought . All the staff was amazing . For the most important part I have lost over 20kg so far . My only regret is I never had the surgery sooner . I would recommend APERA to anyone who’s considering the change . 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I had no meaning to life before I came to apera clinic after arriving I was made to feel so at ease the staff was amazing no faults at all so clean and always someone there to keep u comfy and to talk to u if u had any questions or doubts. I had my surgery on the 29th August 2023 its been just over a year an I can honestly say it hasn't been easy I have had a lot of problems with still not eating more than 2 3 mouthfulls a day but even so I don't regret it at all I finally have meaning to live I have had a huge loss of 12st 6lb 2kg and I'm still losing weight but slow an steady now I definitely highly recommend apera clinic it is by far the best clinic to go to for your surgery's I will definitely be back thankyou so much to the team an all the staff at apera clinic for giving me my life back .

Everybody is explaining to you every step.If you need something there is someone who can help you.

I had my surgery on the 26th August with Apera and before writing a review I wanted to be sure of everything. Hence the waiting to write a review, but I’ve honestly found the whole process with Apera a really positive one, I thought best to make a list of all the pros & some cons of the how I found my journey with Apera.

Pros:
- The Doctors & Nurses cannot do enough for you, if I felt more pain during one of the days I was recovering, they were happy to give me further painkillers and make me as comfortable as possible.
- I had doctor Dr Ertan and although I did have a translator, his interactions with me where so genuine and of concern, he spoke to me everytime regardless of the language barrier, everyday he would visit and be happy to answer any of my queries or concerns. And the lady I had for my translator was so helpful, happy to ask for anything for me or go through anything with me.
-The hotel & hospital are beautiful, I had a room with windows all around and it was cleaned daily & well looked after.
-The whole process from booking to op was a breeze. I think a little of you questions whether you’ve been scammed after the payment as you don’t hear much, BUT they are always on hand on WhatsApp to answer any queries you may have. On my day of arrival I was sent a video to show where I needed to go for transfers, and updated daily on what I would expect from the day.
-I went on the complimentary boat trip and this was lovely, if you’re feeling it up to it, please do this. It’s good to get out and enjoy yourself, after being in hospital for 3 days.

Now my cons:
-the bed for my companion is just a sofa bed, I don’t believe this is stated, so more to just let you know. And the food choice wasn’t the greatest, there’s a cafe in the downstairs area, food places around are pizza places and a shop that’s about a 10 minute walk.
-There is no seating around the hospital, no benches or outdoor areas.
-The TV options are very limited, so half the time this was used for back ground noise. I also found Netflix and other streaming apps didn’t working on my phone. Best to download films before you go.
-prepare yourself for a very fast paced environment, from arriving to pre op tests, to going down and getting the surgery. This isn’t a massive con, but one to just prepare yourself for.

But ultimately this has been the best decision I’ve made, so far I’m 6 weeks post op & I’ve lost 2 stone 10lbs already, ride the tough times because it does get easier eventually. Thank you Apera you’ve helped give me my life back and i feel like im living again after years of being miserable and allowing food to control my life. Finally I’m full for once and enjoying other things in life now.

Absolutely amazing experience, after extensive research, and a recommendation I finally settled on Apera health group, and I'm so glad I did, after reading horror stories and seeing things on the t.v (not from Apera) I was to say the least very anxious and In two minds to proceed. But from the moment I booked to the moment I was on my way back home, I had absolutely no complaints everybody involved was so friendly and helpful, in the hotel and the hospital, nurses, doctors, nutritionist, translator, drivers, all amazing, had the best care while I was there couldn't praise them enough, absolutely wonderful team, thank you!

Very reliable transport service and also very nice hotel accommodation! The clinic/ hospital was clean and comfortable! The service provided was excellent! The communication and information throughout was outstanding! And all the staff members of the company from the surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to the interpreters cleaners, and the transport staff were all brilliant! The service provided is professional yes empathetic to the patients needs All the Apera staff are also friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this company to others!

I booked with apera after having 2 friends have their gastric sleeve surgery with them.

From first contact they were nothing but helpful and were not pushy in the slightest unlike alot of other companies.

I'm day 4 post op and just arrived home. My experience was nothing but positive. I not once had to ask for pain relief or anti sickness as they came like clockwork to administer medications. I have also lost 10lb in those 5 days since travelling.

If anyone is looking into Apera I highly recommend 👌

Fully recommended to everyone who want to look good and have confidence! Apera is amazing! The doctors and nurses are the best ! All the personal it’s very friendly and welcoming! The interpreters are really nice and do the best to bring a positive attitude in you! Thank you Apera !!

Everyone was so helpful.Rooms are amazing when ever you needed anything they got it straight away. The nurseing staff and the interpreters couldn't be more helpful I got to say the care I received was amazing thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Muy buena experiencia, desde que contacté con Andrea que es un amor ocupándose de todo, hasta el más mínimo detalle, el trato en el hotel y hospital fue, inmejorable, si todavía te lo estás pensando....no lo dudes más y da el paso, es increíble lo bien que te tratan y se preocupan por tu bien estar, Andrea estaba de continuo en comunicación dandome todos los detalles y haciendo seguimiento a cada paso. 100% experiencia fabulosa.

From arriving at airport ,goin to clinic for tests then hospital everything went smoothly.
Once at hospital doctor came round told me tests were all good he was very good at making you feel at ease .
Taken for op all good, some staff sound rude but it's just the language barrier ,overall the staff were lovely, co ordinator was there to ask any questions but most of time I was understood .
Iv been fine had op done on 8 th July an looking forward to.losing more weight ,feel loads better now .
The hospital an hotel were very good my husband was provided with 3 meals per day at hospital

From the moment i enquired it's been top quality .picked up in a luxury mini bus from airport transfer hotel for 1 night. 11am taken apera health clinic filled in medical questionnaire form weight,blood pressure and paid 13.00 taken to the hospital had x-ray, blood taken. Met staff & surgeon all good to go 5pm went down for opp back 6.30 all good no problems had a drain which is the most uncomfortable discharge 3 days later with protein shake vitamins medication.The Aftercare 10 stars above & beyond would highly recommend Apera health. Arrived back at hotel 1045 picked at 1pm taken on luxury cruise top class .

ABSOLUTELY DO NO GO HERE!!! Soo when I have received operations in the uk you wake up in recovery all nice and cozy not here! I was slapped and shouted at to breath (I couldn’t due to airways blocked) and made to get off the surgery bed and into the recovery bed still full of anaesthetic, following this I flew home 3 days later to be rushed into hospital with 2 holes in my stomach and riddled with sepsis the surgeon told me that the sleeve was the smallest she had ever seen and the opening wasn’t big enough to slow food to pass.. I went on to spend 3 moth in hospital bill by mouth 6 drains in my stomach and been fed via a pic line I was told of I don’t recover the sepsis they couldn’t do anything for me and would need to remove my whole stomach, when I contacted apera I was completely fobbed off. I very nearly lost my life and my babies nearly lost their mummy if I can prevent just one person from going through what I did them I will be happy please rethink it

Two of us had gastric sleeve March 2024.
Honest review of how we are doing 4 1/2 months later.

We spent months and months searching for the right place for us - i was asking all the right questions re the surgeons experience, qualifications, certs etc.. I must have sounded insane! But it was important for me to get this right as I was travelling with a family member who was also having a sleeve at the same time as me.

Apera came up as top by a country mile. Their success rates were what eventually swayed us to book with them.

The booking process was as easy as can be. Too easy really. They take the absolute stress away and basically spoon feed you what you need.
Their wait times are miniminal and you can be booked almost within a month or two

Arrival is amazing, the transfer is beautiful, the hotel is lovely, the clinic for pre op checks is nice too

The day after we arrived in Istanbul we were taken for pre op checks at the clinic... Little did we know... We would be in the surgery that same day.. I was absolutely TERRIFIED but felt like I had no time to overthink it..the checks came back fine for us both.. We werre told what our goals were and how we could easily achieve an 8st loss and a 6 stone loss each then driven to the hospital, gowned up and asked to wait.. I was waiting with my family member when someone came for her and said it's op time and she was taken.. I literally felt ill from it because I was alone and waiting for them to come get me.

I cannot sugar coat the feeling of being taken down for the surgery. It's horrific. But it's quick! So so so quick before you know it, you're awake and being taken back to your bedroom with your stomach in a bag next to you (really bizzare but also quite amusing)
They ask you to put yourself onto the surgery bed so basically you're fully awake, aware and compos mentis of your surroundings (I was told that when having surgery in the UK you're put asleep prior to being taken into the surgery - Apera performed my first surgery ever so I've nothing to compare it with)

I was so anxious about the surgery I hadn't anticipated the recovery, neither of us had.. And it was.... Pretty hellish... Gas is pain like I've never known and the drain in your stomach is not for the faint hearted (they remove it day two and although that is pretty painful it's honestly the biggest relief ever to have it taken away)

The surgeon was SO SO SO LOVELY as were the nurses! So kind, compassionate and caring. There were two nurses in particular I was always glad for seeing...a couple of them are heavier handed than the rest but they are busy and have a lot of work to do.. Youre checked on constantly, given fluids by IV constantly, given pain relief as soon as you ask for it, if you bleed from your incision and of it transfers into your bed sheets, they are changed straight away.

The translator and nutritionist are both really great too.. In terms of the service and care you receive, apera will do it all right... In terms of your own expectations with surgery and the pain you'll go through.. Don't underestimate it.

Would we do it again? Absolutely.. I'd do it again tomorrow. We both would

We've lost 10 stone between us in 4 months and we look completely different from the two people who arrived in Istanbul back in March for sleeves. One of us is going back to apera for skin removal.

The first month back is the hardest.. If you stick to your diet plan you basically drink boiled chicken water for days.. It's testing hahaha but it works! It honestly works.

We would recommend apera 100%... 10/10.
