Spotify keeps taking down our music, claiming that we hired outside people to stream our music. NOT THE CASE! Twice this has happened. The second time through I followed their exact advice, I made sure to check that our music wasn't being put on fake playlists, checked this daily. But these A holes still took down our music. Highly recommend NOT using Spotify. They falsely accuse bands of illegal actions when we haven't done any of this crap. Worst music app ever!

They have no clue whatsoever, telling things that are not true and just copy and paste the same answers over and over again and then close the chat. I don't understand how those people are even allowed to work for a company like Spotify. Absolutely unblievable.

Bad experience
It is funny how streams pup up on artist account and Spotify will come up with claim of fraudulent act (artificially inflated streams”,this is my experience with them and it is totally unacceptable because it is an erroneous allegation.this same allegation by Spotify made my distribution company banned my account..if they are hell bent on tracking down artificial streams then they should be up and doing with it not punishing poor and innocent artist who knows nothing about it…it is better they fix this before it becomes a problem that is unsolvable

As a relatively new artist to the Spotify world I have been very surprised to discover that it seems Spotify is not really on the side of the artists. I was informed that some of my streams on a certain track were being excluded as they appeared to come from artificial streams. As an artist I need to know which playlists Spotify suspects so I can investigate and protect myself in the future. The help app was anything but. The call has been ended twice even though I feel I am asking a pretty simple question. The streams have been removed but none of the playlists the song was on have been taken down. It's all been a slightly bewildering experience of evasiveness and gentle threatening. It's sad as an artist not to feel at all supported.

Apps designed exclusively for streaming are slow and cumbersome, taking half an hour to load, then another half an hour to start playing; a huge strain. Other video services, much heavier than streaming, are much faster. On many PC browsers, you can no longer stream, only watch ads. If they work, they log you out of your account and make you constantly change your password, a huge strain. Their engineers should rethink something!

Hi, Either Spotify.com or Freemusicdistrib.com or both are scammers. I received only 3 Euro cents so far from Spotify.com for the last released track that had 1,066 streams and that's not counting all the streams from other tracks that l can't screen shot as proof in one shot. I think it's suppose to be about $4 US per 1,000 streams according to the internet on spotify. So it's scam. And on top of that, the scamming site Freemusicdistrib.com, now wants to charge me 13.99 Euros to take down each song, which means It's not free to use at all, it has a scam name Freemusicdistrib. So now I am going to have to make new versions of each track I have made, even better versions of course, now I have more experience in producing music and from now on, no more streaming of my music forever. My music will only be available as digital downloads on sites that only take like 5% of your sales. I think streaming in a scam for indie artists, because I have heard of a lot of record companies and artists complaining about Spotify and Tik Tok not paying artists what they should be paid and pulling their music off Spotify and Tik Tok. So if signed artists are getting ripped off, Indie artists are surely to get ripped off, as I have been. So the best advice I can give Indie artists is to sell their music as downloads. One download at the going price of $1.49 is more than you would get from 1,000 streams on spotify. All you have to do is link your video to a digital down load site or if you have money, create your own web page with digital downloads.

I have deep frustration and disappointment regarding the removal of my album, ECHOES, due to alleged “abnormal streaming activity.” This action is both unwarranted and deeply unfair, given the substantial effort I invested in promoting my music through legitimate, industry-standard channels.
Let me make it clear: the plays on my album were the result of targeted advertising campaigns, dedicated social media outreach, and strategic partnerships with influencers, playlisters, and bloggers. I have spent countless hours, energy, and resources building my audience and raising awareness of my work through completely legal and ethical marketing methods. The claim that my streams are inauthentic undermines the integrity of my hard work and dedication. The implication that I am somehow at fault for suspicious activity due to your reported concerns not only misrepresents the nature of my streaming activity but damages my professional reputation in the process.
Spotify’s decision to remove my album without transparent investigation shows a significant lack of regard for the creators who power the platform. Independent artists like myself face immense challenges in today’s music industry, and the way Spotify treats its artists is unfortunately representative of those challenges.
By penalizing genuine marketing efforts, Spotify sets a dangerous precedent, suggesting that success achieved outside of its direct endorsement or funding might be deemed suspicious.
I demand that my album, ECHOES, be reinstated immediately and that a transparent, fair investigation be conducted. Spotify’s actions here are both harmful and discriminatory to independent artists who operate within legitimate marketing frameworks.
Artists like myself rely on platforms such as Spotify to make our work accessible to audiences, and when you unfairly remove content, you contribute to the very inequities you claim to be eradicating in music.
Please restore my album and correct this oversight.
Additionally, I urge you to rescind its unfounded report, which misrepresents my streaming activity and damages the standing of independent artists like myself.

I've got Spotify for artists since two years and I still didn't get how to manage it. My music Is continously mixed with other artists, my few followers can't listen more than one track before to be bounced away from my music. Worst than ever there is a playlist called with my band name with music I never heard, that have nothing to do with me and that kill all the chances for audience to explore my music.
I feel ashame to suggest to listen my music on Spotify because I'm actually promoting somebody else
Compile forms doesn't help until you do every week.

They only think about collecting money from the big record companies, it was born to support independent artists, but they don't do much for them, they rarely or never include an independent artist in the editorial playlists;

They don't explain why ambient music is rejected when uploaded by distributors, and the support team avoids discussing the subject. They even closed the ticket before I could reply. While they said they don't offer much support for artists composing that type of music, they promote them in their marketing emails. Hence, the contradiction.

VERY BAD customer support they didn’t solve my issue my DSP (Freshtunes) Blocked my account and told to me We have received an official complaint from the Spotify store. The account was blocked on suspicion of cheating traffic and violating the rules of content monetization. But when I asked to Spotify support team they denied for so I told to them to reinstall my account back but they didn’t do anything for my help now I’m pissed in middle of my DSP and Spotify worst experience ever.

Spotify experiences in general might be a mixed bag. But when it comes to customer service on artists.spotify.com, my experience is surprisingly well. I had a typical problem with Spotify mixing up my and other´s songs, albums and compilations, misspelling my artist name etc, but they were relatively quick to answer all my questions and solve all the problems within reasonable time. Now all my releases are automatically put in the right place without lifting my fingers. It´s quite amazing. Comparing to other similar streaming services/online stores, I thought they are very organized, and highly capable and competent. I hope they keep up the good work!
