Hampers came when they said. My first year of having one, hamper was excellent. I have ordered another one for next year.

ah i love bilco , spreading the cost over the year is so much easier for me and it takes the stress out of the christmas food shop plus my kids like to build a massive fort with all the boxes

This us my 3rd year ordering from this Hamper business.

HOWEVER this year very disappointed. £800+ worth of hampers 2x Groceries, 2x Frozen (mainly meats) and 1x Biscuits.
On unpacking biscuits noticed many are dated fur 2026 in the first half of the year.

Left a comment on Facebook page about it. Someone gets back to say "some products have 3-6months date on them some even 9 months and the purchase stock in September to pack in November"
strange I've known biscuit a well as grocery products can have more than 12month best before dates on as its processed foodstuff.

They then said to me "next time I walk around a supermarket take a look at the BBD I'd be very surprised...."

Actually I work in retail and supermarkets hence how I know what they told me is totally incorrect. Tinned groceries can have upto 2-3 years on them. Biscuits and snacking upto 12-15 months.
So obviously your suppliers are giving you excess" shorter life" stock no doubt clearance lines.

The past few years I've had a frozen turkey in its original manufacturer's packaging on. This year I've had a turkey in a clear bag not vacuumed sealed with sticker on with 2027 dare on. Another bizzare occasion this year so doubt it'll last until that date if not used

Think 2026 I may have to reconsider my hampers from Bilco Direct. Feel let down this year
