I bought a men's robe called "Mayfair" on Amazon. In the item description of the (Amazon) website, that item is made of %100 cotton. However, after a month and a week, I looked at the label sewn into the item stating that it's actually %90 polyester and %10 cotton. On the company's own website, "Made from cotton-rich velvet" is stated, yet there is no suggestion of the percentage of the type of fabric used. It's an almost 300 GBP product, and such a "mistake" is unacceptable. I am afraid the label seems the right indicator in this case, and I bought the item thinking it's %100 cotton. I haven't encountered any shoddiness yet, since the product is new and not used much. I am very disappointed nonetheless...

A year ago I ordered two robes. One was an expensive one was expensive the expensive one for my husband is beautiful.. the one for myself was less than. I spoke to the company more recently and after showing them pictures, they offered to send me a new robe. they discontinued the other one and sent me a much nicer one. I applaud them for their wonderful customer service everything from start to finish was great.!

The robe is already showing loose threads after only 2 washes :(

The dressing gown I purchased for my partner is very nice but to be honest I think it is overpriced. I think I expected something a bit more luxurious.

A previous review of mine highlighted the quality of my bathrobe but criticised the monogram placing. I was very pleased to be offered a replacement garment with the monogram adjusted, but on considering this I declined, as it would mean disposing of an otherwise perfectly good item, which seemed a great waste. The main point for me was that having identified an issue it was quickly addressed in a most satisfactory way and I could have had a replacement robe, but it was my choice to act more sustainably. My thanks to Freddie for his kind attention.

In comparison to price not worthy

It was a present for my darling wife and she thinks it is absolutely beautiful.she wears it frequently. She looks great in it.

Ordered lovely pyjamas. Both delivered without any problems. Lovely soft cotton fabric. Sleeves are long enough for a change and the trousers are not too short. Bought in the sale but would buy them again.

I have been trying unsuccessfully since early January to be refunded for item returned, proof it was received by them. Every email address supplied by them for return correspondence “cannot be delivered” . Tried phoning, “faulty line”. Tried chat bot, given “ticket” three times for someone to get in touch. When they do and ask for information, my replies are “not delivered”! Worst customer service ever.

I purchased a pair of tuxedo shoes. They look and fit great I wear them with my tuxedo as well as my Bown smoking jacket.

After searching on line for what I thought was going to be a ‘quality’ summer dressing gown for my husband, I settled on purchasing one from Bown of London.
When it arrived, it was boxed in a very flimsy cardboard box & taped up with what looked like blue electrical tape. The box was completely crushed. The only interior packaging was hand teared up pieces of card board… not fit for purpose & most definitely not very professional.
Not only was the box crushed, but the gift bag that I had paid £10 for was crushed too.
Before even taking the dressing gown out of its bag, I noticed that the label wasn’t ever sewn on straight, it was completely lob-sided. I immediately emailed to start a return on Friday 6th Feb & didn’t get a reply until Monday 9th Feb.
The customer service representative was helpful & sent me a prepaid return label. I returned the parcel that same day & am still awaiting my refund to be paid.
Not at all impressed & not at all what I expected.
