Brackenwood Windows Ltd Reviews 

We've recently had our large conservatory rebuilt, with new windows, doors and a solid pitched roof to replace the previous translucent plastic panels, which leaked during rain and made the room cold in the winter and baking hot in summer. Mike Green from Brackenwood visited and produced an excellent design to re-orientate the roof, and was very patient & knowledgeable with no trace of hard sell whatsoever. When the fitters duly arrived, Lee & Johnny (and several others who were drafted in to help) were all highly professional, polite & hard working, despite having to cope with changeable and often terrible weather. The building works went exactly to schedule and were finished on time. We're delighted with the finish of the work and our new conservatory has really become more of an extension. The plasterer Matt has done a fine job of finishing the ceiling & walls, and the elecricians John, George and Luke have fitted new lighting and switches which look great at night. Altogether we are very pleased with the work and would heartily recommend Brackenwood to anyone considering having similar work done in the future.

I don't often leave reviews, but felt so happy with our experience, I want to give credit where due.

We had a front door fitted recently that we are very happy with.

From the initial consultation (no pushy sales tactics), through to installation, the service was exceptional and the staff were very helpful. The door also looks great.

Installation in March 2021 was good but when a window handle and lock failed this summer it was necessary to pay £90 for someone to come and look at it. Despite the cause being faulty fittings as supplied by Brackenwood that had to be changed, it is unreasonable to require customers to pay for a call out in such circumstances. The guarantee is close to being worthless.

Brilliant service from start to finish. No pushing for a sale. Thankyou Adam and Luke for fitting my windows. No mess, dust sheets covering all my flooring. So much care taken. Polite, and even made me check all the work to make sure I was happy. Fantastic service would recommend.

The front door in my rental property had warped in the wet weather and was difficult to close. I needed a new one fairly quickly due to the difficulty with closing and investigated the door designer on the Brackenwood web site. This worked reasonably well and gave a good idea of what I could order. When I contacted them by phone they assured me they could deliver in a much shorter timescale than their usual 10 week lead time as it was a small job. The order went through reasonably smoothly with a few hiccups that were quickly sorted out. The rest of the process was smooth and the door was eventually installed much sooner than I initially expected. The installer Luke was great and did a nice tidy installation. Well done all.

Sean (twins) and Anthony worked very very hard and left the site very clean. I am extremely impressed and I would highly recommend them. They began on time and didn’t not stop until 6pm, very hard workers! Thanks you to Shean and Anthony and Brackenwood.

We are delighted with our new Bi-Fold doors which were installed on 24/8/23, the quality of the product is excellent and they are so easy to operate. My reason is reflected in the poor / non existent communication I have had from Brackenwood. Prior to the doors being installed no one made contact to reconfirm if the installation date was still ok (I would have thought a phone call 24 hours prior to the install date would be been expected). There hasn’t been anyone calling since to see how we were getting on with our new doors so this is disappointing.

Installation team of Sean and Anthony were extremely skilled and professional with the work - I experienced minimum disruption and they were pleasant and tidy and made the whole process that much better.

Brackenwood aftercare has been amazing since they built our conservatory in 2019. Due to ongoing issues that were not necessarily Brackenwoods fault they have always helped to fix the issues at their own expense. Special thanks to Alan Boden who since day 1 has always taken the time to help us and promptly replied to our emails.
Also thankyou to the CEO Allan Forbes who has personally assisted and taken the time to visit us on occasions. Very professional and a personal touch. Much appreciated.

After complaining to customer service on failure of grass panels, they finally sent someone to check and measure the Windows ( 5 panels) even though we have to wait more than 3 weeks. Workmen changed 4 panels but Said last panels was on not enough to be fit on.so we had wait another month for last panel. At end , we can see outside with clear glass. Also we are happy the extend warranty to another 4 years. Thanks for the effort.

After having doors and windows fitted some 12 years ago their after service is very poor. When we had problems with a window that wouldn't shut they wanted payment before they even came to the house! This year another window wouldn't open, I filled in the online service request form, we got a phone call the same day and were told we would need a replacement window window (without even seeing what the problem was)
They said they would get back to us with the price but 3 months later we've heard nothing. We got a private firm out who did the repair!!! After care is rubbish.

I do not recommend. Sales and Service are good (responsive, helpful). Products (windows, doors and fitting) are TOTAL GARBAGE! We have had nothing but problems with them since installation one year ago and I'm now informed my 12 month labour warranty has expired and I have to pay £90 for an engineer to come out (which doesn't guarantee a fix as they have been out multiple times). W.ve had problems with multiple windows and the front door. Total joke! The front door was not fitted correctly from day one. The windows and doors should last years! Why am I expected to pay £90 to repair something that is clearly faulty or installed incorrectly. Not impressed and I will not refer anyone else! £15,000 spent!! 15 GRAND! The 10 year guarantee they bark on about is worth nothing!

Update 16/10/23. Another window faulty and cannot be closed. Service request logged.
Update 17/10/23. Fault fixed, thanks. As stated before - service and engineers are good. Products (windows and doors) are total garbage.

Just got fitted windows from them. The team of Mark, Mark and Martin was unbelievable professional. Arrived on time. Very kind and helpful the best team and people what you can get in job like that. Hopefully Brackenwood got more teams like them. Definitely will be requested them again for other project.

Had the need to call Brackenwood recently due to a window supplied and installed by them cracked due to the recent heat.Was informed by them that breakages were not covered by their guarantee policy.My wife was in the room at the time and heard the noise and watched it crack from the inside.They now want me to pay £500 for a replacement.Certainly won't be using again and will advise others not to in the future.Clearly the 10 year guarantee is worth the paper it's written on.

From the quoting to fitting it took less than 6 weeks. We had our windows, patio door and sliding door fitted yesterday and I can’t praise this company enough. What a fantastic job they did. From office staff to fitters. Communication was spot on and they did everything as promised without any issues. Fitters are very hard working and tidy. The quality of the product is outstanding and we are so happy with our final products. Well done. Keep up good work!

They fitted our patio and doors 6.5 years ago. Today, my front door wouldn’t close, which left me in a panic as you can imagine! Within the hour they sent a lovely professional fitter round called Jonny to address the issue. I’m a very happy customer, as this could have been a nightmare! Because the door was within the guarantee, I wasn’t charged a penny! Very happy indeed and thank you so much for the help received from Harry who answered my call. We had our whole house fitted with windows and doors from Brackenwood. The customer service was amazing and the fitters Sean and Anthony were great. Efficient, friendly and very professional. Already recommended to 2 families who have had their installation with them too!

Our conservatory roof needed replacing and we were very satisfied with the company. The installers were Mike and Lee and they thorough, helpful and competent. The scaffolding erection was well planned and plaster board went well. We can recommend the company

Shocking company lack of professionalism. Disgraceful workmanship. That they created throughout my house. Stress ans anxiety of getting everything rectified. Send a number of emails with photos of the shocking work and holes left in my walls covered by trim. I was given a a token of good will. Shocking behaviour from the company.
