We moved in last week after a beautifully reassuring snag survey.
The house is wonderful and I have been so happy with the continuing communication with the site team and the wonderful customer service.
Sarah and Laurence made everything so easy for us right from day one. Cedar Brae is a fantastic development and we feel so lucky to be a part of the neighbourhood.

Showroom staff were excellent,very friendly and extremely helpfull,
Jo and becky have bent over backwards to help us.
Their knowledge of the product they are selling is of a very high degree,
Their warmth and honesty really is genuine and not a put on sales pitch.
Their customer service is superb

Martin Hales completed the silicone work to a very high standard. The finish was clean and precise, and he paid great attention to detail throughout. He made sure everything was done properly and left the area tidy.

Martin Hales service was excellent. Martin came over and fixed some of the snagging items on my list. The quality of his work was excellent as well as his attention to detail. Martin was very friendly and got the job done with no fuss. I would highly recommend Martin.

We had a visit from Chris Denny who did a painting job and although further work needs to be done, the wall looks already spotless. He completed the work with no disruption whilst I was working from home and even did a small repair which was not planned, so extra points for that. A golden star for Carry from customer services who promptly replied to all our queries and scheduled appointments with contractors in no time. A big shout for Martin Hales who recently did a repair work on our front door. Totally professional, arrived on time and even checked our towel radiators which was not one of his planned tasks. Special mentions to Mark Wilkins site manager who attended our home multiple times when we didn't know who else to turn to at the beginning and solved our queries. Thank you All!

Chris Denny and Martin Hales were sent by Cala Homes to fix a few cracks and other issues with our walls, and they were absolutely fantastic. They were polite, professional, and treated our home with real care and respect throughout. The quality of their work was top notch, and everything was finished to a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I entered into a part exchange with Cala and, while the sales team have been lovely and the house is nice, I’ve had nothing but issues with their lawyers (Burness Paul) causing unjustified and unnecessary delays to the transaction. It’s now at the stage where my move in date is close to being compromised and my lawyers and I seem to have been treated with complete disregard. Not only that but Cala’s lawyers have used “the chain” as part of their excuses to delay the transaction undermining the very purpose of part exchange. Due to this, I can’t recommend Cala or provide a positive review based on these delays.

In 1979 we purchased our first CALA home in Aberdeen. However, we are now about to embark upon another new CALA home purchase to be closer to our family in the central belt of Scotland. Indeed, our previous 5 homes have all been built by CALA and because our exceptionally positive experience with CALA we would not consider any other builder. In our experience, CALA is ‘light years’ ahead of any other builder in terms of design, quality, attention to detail, customer focus and customer satisfaction.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Sarah at the Cedar Brae development. She was very welcoming and helped us so much by answering our many questions. She offered great advice and next steps for us, which will really help us moving forward. We felt like she had a lot of time for us, even though we turned up unannounced. If we are to progress with our purchase we feel like we would be in very safe hands with Sarah. Thank you!

Purchased a Wisteria style home.
We part exchanged our property which worked very well & removed the stress of possible chains breaking down.
The Sales team Liz & Charlie at Oakwood Park were brilliant & kept us updated regularly.
We have moved many times in the past but this was the easiest.
The quality of the build and space inside the property for a new build is excellent.
Even our snagging surveyor commented on how good the build was.

We wanted to take a moment to share some feedback on our experience with Laurence Campbell and Sarah Scott, Senior Sales Consultants at Cala Homes Jackton @ Cedar Braes.

From our very first meet and greet through to the later stages of purchasing our home, their professionalism, knowledge, and guidance have been exceptional. Buying a house can be complex and, at times, stressful, but Laurence and Sarah made the entire journey feel clear, manageable, and well-supported.

As we moved into the later stages of the process, their attention to detail, responsiveness, and continued reassurance were especially appreciated. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble — they were always approachable, honest, and willing to go the extra mile to help.

We fully understand that Cala Homes is a business and not directly part of our buying chain, but despite that, the level of care and commitment we received was outstanding. Their support has been consistent throughout, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more.

We hope to complete our purchase in the near future and sincerely appreciate everything they have done for us during this process.

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Cala Homes to proceed with caution.

My experience has been extremely disappointing from both a build quality and customer service perspective. From the outset, the property was marketed as “high specification,” which heavily influenced my decision to purchase. However, the reality has fallen far short of that expectation.

The appliances provided are basic and not suitable for a family home. The washer/dryer in particular is not fit for purpose, with very limited drying capacity and poor performance. Cala later admitted that the “high specification” wording used in their marketing was incorrect and removed it — but this was only after purchase, which is unacceptable.

There have also been multiple workmanship issues, including poorly laid carpets with debris and staples underneath, ongoing snagging problems, and a lawn that has failed due to poor preparation. Despite raising the lawn issue at handover, Cala have now refused to carry out any remedial work and are attempting to categorise it as homeowner maintenance.

More concerning are the safety issues. The kitchen hob can be accidentally switched on with no clear indication it is active or still hot, which has already resulted in a near fire incident. The hot water system also presents inconsistent temperatures, including scalding hot water at taps.

Customer service has been slow, dismissive, and difficult to deal with throughout. Issues have required repeated chasing, and responses often feel focused on deflecting responsibility rather than resolving problems.

Overall, this has been a stressful and frustrating experience, and I am now having to escalate matters to the New Homes Ombudsman.

I would not recommend Cala Homes based on my experience.

On 7th March, we had a great viewing of a Cala house at Kings Barton on the Green, Winchester, and I wrote a Trustpilot review for it at the time.

Then on 11th April, we met Holly, another excellent Cala salesperson. Holly did another great Cala viewing for us, this time for a 2-bedroom showhouse apartment.

Holly was extremely professional, efficient, polite and positive. It was clear that she was very experienced in sales environments.

She was clearly extremely knowledgeable about the specific Cala property we were viewing, and how it currently fitted in to the overall Cala projects at Kings Barton, and what Cala's long-term development plans are at Kings Barton, and details of the surrounding infrastructure such as roads and shops.

Holly answered all of our many questions patiently and effectively. We were completely satisfied with the information she provided, not only during the viewing and in the sales office immediately after the viewing, but also the very useful information that she sent us a little later by email.

I can definitely recommend the sales staff at Kings Barton on the Green to any potential buyer.

Cala clearly understands the importance of hiring experienced, knowledgeable sales staff who know how to provide great customer service.

I have been in communication with Liza Watt regarding the Silverburn homes. She went over and beyond in explaining various facts to me as a first time buyer and was always ready to answer any questions I put across.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Carol, Neil and Fraz at the Cornhill Village Cala site. The minute we walked through their door, we were greeted with a welcoming warm smile and we have never looked back.
The three of them have gone above and beyond to meet our expectations. They guided us to the perfect home for us and our family. Their knowledge and understanding of what house would have been right for our family life was exactly what we were looking for especially when buying a new house can be so overwhelming and stressful. Where they could they did everything they could to take that stress away or help us through it.
We were unable to receive our keys and Carol came in on her day off to ensure we didn’t have to wait until the sales office was open. These personal touches is what made our experience unforgettable.
