Chris Denny and Martin Hales visited my property to check and fix a few issues. They were very friendly and professional. Very happy with the service.

I love my new home and the area we live in BUT the after care service provided by CALA is shocking!
We raised an issue in respect of the Fibre Optic Cable Broadband
We tried to move our broadband supplier to HyperOptic, recommended by CALA.
When transferring it was established that the connection on the outside box was not connected.
When it was connected a fault on the internal cabling was picked up.....this must always have been there
Therefore, at the point of sale (our home) the fibre optic cable could never have worked
We have asked CALA for evidence of who signed off that the Fibre Optic cabling worked at point of sale and what they intend to do about repairing it - silence, even though we rasied the issue via an official complaint

We are not in our home yet probably not until late December- early February. Fraz and Rossana in the Aurs Meadows site have been and continues to be so very helpful and nothing is to much bother Every question or concern we have had has been dealt with professionally and explained fully.

Right from the start of the process Edwina,Maria & Sophie have provided exceptional advice,help,care and service.In particular I struggled with some choices of tiling & flooring for the property and Edwina guided me through the best options for me.The communication from all of the girls at The Glades has been prompt & accurate regarding any queries I've had.So far they have all made the experience with the purchase stress free.

Ebony Rettie was our sales advisor at Greenbank.
Ebony, immediately made us feel at ease and comfortable, in a very nice relaxed atmosphere. Ebony was very informative and answered all our questions. It is very clear she is knowledgeable about the development and products. We are very impressed with Cala as a housing developer and its ethos. On this occasion we chose to buy a pre-owned Cala home from a part exchange but we most definitely are onboard with the Cala product due to Ebony’s enthusiasm for the product. She is a true asset to the company.

Having completed the snagging, at our new home, in Fordingbridge; we can now comment on our experience - What a pleasant experience we have had with Cala Homes - Fordingbridge.
Our site manager Miles has been very supportive regarding all our snagging issues. He has been prompt and proactive in responding to our calls and emails; always getting back to us and keeping us informed; which is a great help and very reassuring; 10/10 in our opinion.
In fact, all the staff have been helpful in different ways and always polite.
Miles is always extremely pleasant and has a good sense of humour.
We are 2 months in and enjoying our new home in Fordingbridge.
Overall, I must add that the whole experience with the site manger and the ladies that undertook our sale, has been nothing but positive 10/10.

Cala say that they care about their customers, what a load of rubbish that is. I have to use a mobility scooter to get around & because there are no facilities for charging mobility scooters the sales team were all for me getting rid of my scooter, they did not seem to care that by getting rid of my scooter would take away my independence making me virtually housebound.

Thank goodness my son came to the rescue allowing me to charge my scooter at his house, which is not ideal as he lives at the opposite end of town which is approximately 1.5 miles away.

When we chose our flat we also chose the two parking bays that would be more accessible for me, as I am registered disabled we chose the two that would give me more room to get in & out of our car. However when we received the plans from the conveyancer, our parking bays had been allocated to another flat & the two parking bays that we were allocated are the two worse ones on the lot.

I cannot get in or out of our car when the car is in either of the bays, my husband has to reverse the car so that there is enough room for me to get into the car, our bay in the courtyard has a wall next to the passenger side & the bay at the front has a kerb & garden next to the passenger side making it impossible for me to get out of the car in that bay as well.

For some reason only known to Carla, they decided that the gas metres for the flats in Rivermead Gardens would be better placed in metre boxes at ground level on the outside walls of the buildings in the middle of a garden & because our gas meter is more than 10 yards from our electric meter they cannot talk to each other so the gas meter cannot be read remotely, so we have to read the meter ourselves & submit the readings to British Gas & because the meters are at ground level you have to be a contortionist to read the meter.

I can only assume that this is yet another way of cutting costs because there are purpose built cupboards on each landing to house the gas meters & they are all empty. The electric & water meters are in cupboards so why not the gas meters?

I did mention this in an email that I sent to Cala customer services a couple of months ago to ask for an explanation as to why the meters were not in the cupboards & they obviously can't answer the question as I'm still waiting for a response.

Our meter box lid was broken off & thrown onto the garden when I first brought up the subject of the gas meters while Carla were still on site. Out of all of the meter boxes ours was the only one that was damaged.

Cala's customer service is appalling, their favourite saying is "it's wear & tear" The bottom corner of the living room door in our flat is badly damaged, that is definitely not wear & tear, it looks like the door has been dropped on the corner.

The coating on one of the kitchen wall cupboards is wearing off so that the wood underneath is exposed, this was caused by the magic man who was sent to fix a bit of damage to the cupboard door, all he's done is make it worse.

My husband has fixed most of the things that Cala should have fixed but didn't, but he can't do anything about the cupboard door or the living room door.

Cala Homes are not interested in their customers once they move into a Cala Home.

Cala Homes customer service is appalling & they have zero empathy.

George Fisher attended my property to carry out snagging workers arranged by Cala. His work was professionally carried out and he arrived on time.

Very professional, going above and beyond, even assisting you on their day's off.

I was very impressed with the unhurried and informative discussion I had. All my questions were answered and it was good to get a quick appointment to view. I had a great conversation and would happily recommend Cala homes.

I’d like to thank Paul from CALA Homes for the excellent service he provided during his recent visit to fix our shower glass door.

Paul was professional, friendly and very helpful throughout. He repaired the shower door efficiently and, beyond the original job, kindly helped with the sealant work as well. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile were greatly appreciated.

It’s clear that Paul takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about delivering a good service to customers. His helpful and courteous approach made the whole experience very positive.

First started looking for a place in February 2026, found a lovely detached we liked. Spoke to the sales team who consisted of Shyla, Emily & Michelle - all 3 in their own right were more than happy to accommodate extra viewings when it worked for us.

Put our offer in and it was accepted without any issues - they also accepted our requests for some extras being put in the property prior to moving in.

Albeit we suffered some setbacks in getting completed on the house due to some other issues; the team maintained contact with us and the manager Bettina made sure she did everything to help the process go smoothly.

Constant was consistent, polite and kind - never being pushy or emailing too often. Once the house was bought and we moved in, all the follow up team did what they could to make sure any small issues were dealt with.

Would genuinely recommend this team, could sell ice to Eskimos.

I’d like to give a big thank you to Neal Young, Cala’s painter, who attended our home today to complete some outstanding remedial painting work.

Neal did a fantastic job. He worked quickly but didn’t compromise on quality, took pride in his work and left everything looking excellent. He was also extremely professional and pleasant to have in our home.

After the experience we’ve had with the wider defects process, it was genuinely refreshing to have someone attend who clearly cared about doing a great job.

To be clear, this review is specifically about Neal and the work he carried out today and should not be taken as an endorsement of our wider experience with Cala Homes, which has unfortunately been very different. Nevertheless, credit where credit is due - Neal did an amazing job and we are very happy with the result.

I attended my information giving meeting today where Rossana and the site manager went through all the information regarding our plot and the site plans. It was so informative and it was great to get a good idea of what our new house and our street/ surrounding areas will look like. Rossana was great at explaining everything to us and we are just so excited to choose our kitchen/ flooring/ carpets etc. We can’t thank Rossana enough for making our experience buying our first home such a positive and exciting one.
