I remember them from 20-11-2012 when they pushed to go all metals and then the market fell dramatically for 10 years:)scammers.

They folded .... with no kind of refund for life=time subscription/membership.

Absolute Spam & Scam. They use your email address to sign you up for other publications without prior consent so you are inundated with "it's the end of the world soon, invest now" types of emails. You can see on Google Maps that they are permanently closed in Florida. To avoid like the plague...

I joined Casey Research in 2016. Like all company's of this ilk they give a low price for the first year and then bring it up to the very reasonable price of circa $200 p.a. from thence on. I have gained invaluable advice from their researchers and greatly enjoyed the lessons in history they've provided in order to put current world events into perspective. They're a super smart group of people who've probably made enemies in the deep state due to their warnings (and solutions) on many global fronts.

After taking a trial subscription I immediately started to get an enormous number of spam emails.

Sorry it had to end this way.

I had been a loyal subscriber to Casey services for years, and made some money along the way. Maybe not enough to defray subscription costs, but hey.

Then Casey sold out to Stansberry Research, which I was not happy with. Never did trust those guys. But then, Casey came out with a new service, Disruptive Profits, so I hung on because that service was something I was looking for. Sadly, Casey cancelled it with a few months left on my subscription.

So I now had a credit. I could use it for another Casey or Stansberry service. No refund was offered. I waited, then forgot about it for a while.

Well, according to them, I waited too long. No refund is possible, though they did suggest I could subscribe to one of their services at a discounted price, provided I had a promo code. I had previously decided that I no longer was in need of their newsletters and had let all previous subscriptions expire. So there was nothing appealing about signing up again. Not that that mattered, because they did not supply a promo code, so I didn’t have one to use anyway.

Now, I've awaited a long time again to leave this review. I should act on these things more quickly.

They say all things come to an end, and this ended on a sour note. Three stars, 5 for the initial experience, and 1 for the experience described above.

Casey Research is a Scam company that gets your Banking information for an initial low priced service, then won't cancel the charges after you call to cancel. They've Cheated me out of $160.00 so far, so I had to order a new bank card with a new serial number. These guys are straight up Liars and Thieves, so don't do business with them!

This is a SCAM operation. Let me give you insight into what happened to me so you can be smarter. Somehow I landed on 1 of these guys email lists… and I say guys because it’s not just Legacy Research Group, it’s Palm Beach Research, Casey Research, Rogue Economics, Brownstone Research, TradeSmith and the many other scams and names these guys operate with. Here’s how ONE OF THEIR SCAMS WORK…

You are offered a small low ticket product to get you in the door. It may be a small $1 offer or some offer to simply collect your credit card details. At this point as long as you stay with original product you buy they just keep trying to upsell you.

However, I cancelled within 24 hours of signing up. I have an email from them and everything to prove they “cancelled” my account. From the day that I cancelled the account I began getting super spammed by over 10 different organizations who are all “trade gurus” and many of them clearly did state in their emails they were referred to me by Jeff Brown from Brownstone Research.

It seemed like they wouldn’t stop. I would keep on unsubscribing and sure enough they would reput me on the list even though I never asked to go on it again. They would also change names and lists over and over again no matter how many times I unsubscribed I was flooded by these fly by knight traders who SCAM PEOPLE.

A simple search of Jeff Brown in my inbox and you will see dozens of different names all attached to the scammer Jeff Brown and this scam group of con artists (see attached images of screenshots). Even though I cancelled my subscription less than one day after signing up in November 2021… you can see as recently as June 2022 they email me garbage. It’s gotten so bad, I had to screenshot them me unsubscribing and even email them the screenshot so they know what they’re doing is a 100% illegal and yet they still keep emailing me!!!

Now if the scam ended there I would I guess be fine since it’s just emails… but then I got charged nearly 6 months after I cancelled and have proof of cancelling with Brownstone Research, I got a charge from SR TradeSmith for $49. Now I know what software I subscribe to and trust me I have never done business or know of TradeSmith. So called my bank and disputed it within 24 hours of seeing the charge. Oddly enough my bank then DENIED MY DISPUTE. I went crazy because I do know this was a scam charge but somehow my bank didn’t believe me.

After nearly 2 months of fighting with my bank & asking for their proof from “SR TradeSmith” I get a letter that SR TradeSmith sent to my bank. Here is where the scam all connects and you see what is intention of all these companies and scammers…

Attached you’ll find the exact letter they sent to my bank. As you can see they reference the low ticket purchase I made 6 months ago as reason why their $49 was an authorized charge. What’s weird here though is they are 2 different company so how does SR TradeSmith know purchase of products from Brownstone Research? Do you see in the letter how they crafted the letter knowing as they scam people out of $49 that they would get a flurry of chargebacks… so they drafted this letter showing how you supposedly had already 1 or 2 authorized purchases already. Your bank then goes and checks and sees they are valid and then denies your chargeback request. Scammers then get your $49 x 10,000+ people and you’ve got a huge money scheme happening with companies that I’ve listed in this review.

Now if we go to their letter they sent to my bank from SR TradeSmith you can see at the bottom they listed my purchases from 10/31/2021 and I then cancelled less than 24 hours later when I did realize these guys were all full of you know what. So I cancelled and got letter back on November 1, 2021 from them (all of my proof attached to the review) saying money had been refunded and everything was cancelled. As you can see this is clearly a SCAM!!

Long story short, I got my money back, but only after giving my bank hell. Please report these guys if you’ve been scammed. More we report, the more we can help others! This is a typical scam in which they force you to watch a BS video that plays out for 45 minutes. There are quite a few of these websites that promise to tell you what "explosive" stock you should invest in but you have to sit through the videos, as if I don't have anything better to do. I paid the 49.49 "fee" but have gotten nothing out of this. Websites like this give honest ones a bad name and only encourages distrust from other victims. STAY AWAY!!!

After i signed up for a expansive letter i got shot out of the membership on the second day and can t log in anymore. They still have my money and i have no product.

I unsubscribed shortly after signing up, because it was obvious from subsequent research and reviews that these folks were scam artists. Now I see they are charging my account for a renewal I did not want, nor did I approve. I have received no communications from them for many months, because I unsubscribed from their services. Now I am going to have to go to battle with Visa to get this charge reversed.

Enjoy the product, hate the customer experience. The newsletter product itself is quite good. Everyone's investment experience will be different and no one should expect massive gains from any one source but Casey and associated newsletters have given me a lot of good investment themes.

But - Casey retired, and now Nick and the company has now killed off my lifetime subscriptions. Sure - somewhere buried in the legalese I am certain their "lifetime" is until the editor stops writing... GREAT - so 2 of my 3 lifetime subscriptions (which the update is pushed constantly) are now "dead". What do they offer me in return? 50% of ONE YEAR of another product. They'll tell you "choose from our products" and 1/2 are the products that are already shutdown.

I've contacted customer service (who are very nice but have no power), registered my concerns/complaints but they are just stalling until my credit expires. So.. I went ahead with a one-year subscription but...

The company's reputation is completely ruined in my eyes. Do NOT subscribe to them. I've been a subscriber for 5-years or so but it's clear they have no intent to make things whole.

Here's an idea. You shutdown a newsletter where I'm a lifetime subscriber, you offer me a lifetime subscription to one of your other products. NOT 50% off a ONE YEAR subscription. That is not even close to a "like replacement" which is what a business that's interested in customer service would offer.

Sorry guys, this one hits the mark so well on one level but will disappoint you at the end.

I've given them 3 chances to make this right and they just offer the same empty replacement. NOT COOL.

1/27/22 update. They responded to my review today, asking to call or email but I have already done that. If you are reading this - I called Friday 1/21/22 and my last email was sent on 1/26/22 but I've not heard anything back from either. My initials are D.P. if that helps you tie this review to the call + email.

2/16/22 update. NOTHING from them. No attempt to reply to my attempts to contact both via phone and email. I am certain they are counting on running out the clock on their offer for credit (mentioned before - a 1-year credit for TWO lifetime subscriptions). Buyer beware at this point which is such a shame because I enjoyed the publication. Also - they are still marketing the two services that were shutdown as if I could sign up for them

These people are scammers.
I signed up for what was a very cheap rate for a tip sheet, but soon discovered that is not what i got.
I am constantly bombarded with emails for the next big thing that will make you rich but if you open them you get a waffling repeating video that eventually tells you nothing except how much you have to pay to find out. Usually $1500 USD but the last one i seen was $3500usd. So i did not get a single tip off them for my investment, just loads of spam email and time wasting. Also brownstone research is very closely linked and use the same operating method. I recommend you not only dont pay them, unsubscribe as well.

These guys are a scam, got my money, never got the PDF's I was supposed to get. Sent a email on how to get them, nothing. Sent 4 emails about canceling my membership, nothing. Next stop BBB and the Attorney's General Office.

Took my money with a quickness 3 weeks ago, was told i was going to get literature and other material and all I have gotten is hundreds of emails. I want my money back!!!

Strive to be the largest scammers. Do not deal with them at any cost.

Don't trust them. They're not serious. In 2020, I purchased a newsletter that was priced at $79. I was charged $300. I questioned it, and they told me that this would be a lifetime subscription. I decided to take the offer. One year later, they're charging me for a renewal.

+Anything written by Doug Casey and his fellow writers is invariably a priceless synopsis of the preexisting conditions of financial and/or political situations, or one as a result of the other, and, equally, an analysis, and comparison of historical events relating to the current affairs; the latter occasionally being avoidable by politicians, and if a particularly idiotic former president in Texas had not started two wars in his first term, but no one mentions his name when they complain about the stupidity of the man; he having forgotten (or didn't know!!) that the Russians were defeated by the Afghans approximately 15 years earlier. Dan Rather of CBS News was fired for exposing the antics of George 'Dubya' Bush. and some fools built a library in his honor?
