Prevented me to go for a higher asking price and after an offer on the 2nd day, refused other viewings to go ahead. When I wanted to put an offer on another house, the progress manager whom I called Ms Brutal refused the call, saying the whole department was closed 9am on a Friday.

The response is a blatant lie. I was told not to go ahead with any other viewings to "Give this chap a chance"! Stop lying. Ms Brutal was said to be on holiday and even his ex colleague could not get to talk to her and of course, I couldn't put an offer on a house on Church End Lane as they smelt the odious smell of MONEY! You can lie, but I am not the only person posting these views.

Never use this company as they are playing god with your major asset. Houses around the area went for £500k. But the rep who came said no and asked me to try £475k. On the 2nd day, some discerning bargain hunter offered £450k and I accepted it. More viewings had initially been arrranged but I was dissuaded from taking more viewings so as to give this bargain hunter a chance.

Remember:
1) Go online to check prices for comparable houses. No estate agents will work for YOU. They see £3500 and will try to close off the deal. If they ask for £475K, you should go for £500K.

2) Keep your wit with you. When they refused further viewings, threaten to pull out from them. Your house is a major asset and house moving is traumatic.

They can post a response, but remember challenge everything, trust no one, especially not estate agents and don't give away your major asset.

From start to finish Chalk Street have been great. After a bad experience with another agent I decided to switch to Chalk Street and I am glad I did so.

I was very happy with the service Chalkstreet provided for the sale of my flat. Ben knew the local area and what was the best price to advertise my flat. As I live abroad, Ben also helped me with some extra administration associated with the sale and recommended a local experienced lawyer who provided a sophisticated on-line service.
I took a fixed-fee “up front” package for the sale which worked well and I found to be a big relief to know in advance the Chalkstreet fees.

Excellent service from the moment Ben came round to give us a price on our property, everything went really well and would not hesitate to recommend. The whole team were very professional and kept us informed and updated at all stages. Would like to give a special mention to the solicitors that Chalk Street recommended. Taylor Rose MW, specifically Greg Short who acted for us. Whenever I phoned he answered in person and on the rare occasion I left a message, he would get straight back to me, emails and queries answered immediately. The legal side of things can be quite stressful, but he made it very easy for us. We had previously had a terrible experience helping a relative sell from a well known solicitors in Hornchurch and the difference was night and day. Well done everyone and thank you.

I am almost at the end of the sale of my house through Chalk Street and I have to say they have gone above and beyond my expectations as an agent. You hear all sorts of stories but I can honestly say I could buy everyone of them a present . Particularly Faye and Mandy , the girls have been fantastic, so supportive and friendly and prompt with everything. I cannot recommend Chalk Street enough, given my difficult situation at home they have been absolutely fantastic. Thank you Mandy you’ve kept me sane at a very stressful time. We had used Chalk Street before to sell my late Fathers property and found them to be thoroughly professional and friendly. Having decided to put our own house on the market we were delighted to find nothing has changed over the last 3 years. From the initial valuation from Ben (both times) to being kept up to date on viewings by Faye, Lois and others on the team we had sold STC in less than two weeks. The sales progression team and Mandy in particular have kept us fully informed throughout the selling process.
