Hi Daniel, we complete random drug testing which fits into our drug and alcohol testing policy. We also reserve the right to test anyone who we suspect is misusing alcohol or drugs while studying here. A positive result in these tests will lead to immediate suspension and possible removal from your course.

Since Gareth has been my point of contact from the Citb, he is regularly in contact with me, he has played a massive part in reducing my time for making claims etc which can be focused elsewhere. I can’t thank him enough for helping me out and is always at the other end of a phone (even sometimes out of working hours)

Joanne Dixon always goes over and above, making sure my apprentice and me have all the information we need and more. Jo is in contact regularly and makes it clear that I can get in touch at any time for any questions I may have. Jo is a credit to the CITB and is making this journey a lot easier than I had imagined

CITB review
Jo Dixon (NEST team) makes regular calls to check in that we are making full use of the available grants, particularly for apprenticeships attendance and achievement grants. Also been supportive in offering Mental Health support through Mates in Mind. She has also directed us to Go Construct/STEM ambassadors scheme to help us hit our social value ambitions and help promote roofing/construction.

CITB experience
So far my experience of CITB has been great. Initially i was slightly apprehensive, as im not great with forms / paper work but Jo Dixon (NEST team) has made the whole process easy.
Jo has called me periodically to check everything is going ok and sent me various useful links to step by step guides that made the apprenticeship grant scheme straight forward to navigate.

New to CITB
This year is my first in taking on apprentices .
The level of help and support I have received from Jo Dixon at CITB has been amazing.
She has sorted any self made problems I have encountered out instantly making what would have been difficult for myself to do seem easy.
A fantastic company with amazing well trained staff working at a level way above and beyond .
My experiences of dealing with Jo and the level of support I have received from her leads me too highly recommend CITB.

CITB grants
Hi, I’m a yorkshire plasterer specializing in new build plastering. The information and guidance I received from CITB and especially Joe Dixon from the nest team was brilliant and with Joe’s help in me gaining a CITB grant for my last two apprentices was financially, extremely helpful, given today’s climate.
