Excellent service from Gareth, sorts everything out for me quickly and efficiently from beginning to end.

I have done exams in particle physics, quantum mechanics, advanced mathematics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, geotechnics , engineering materials and properties, blasts and explosives.

All completely blown out of the water by this exam.

This exam is not hard, it is oppressive.
90% to pass, 50 questions, each question pure agony to answer.

It's structured so 1 out of 4 is obviously wrong, but the other 3 can be up to interpretation, you can only make 5 mistakes before you fail, so good luck getting 45 in a row.

don't even bother with the 2 answer questions, they are just a write off - accept the point deduction and hope to god you've lucked enough to scrape a pass.

Jo has consistently gone above and beyond to help me navigate the often complex and ever-changing process of claiming grants for training, apprenticeships, achievement awards, and long-period attendance. Without her guidance and persistence, I simply would not have been able to access the support available.

The process can be confusing at times, with frequent changes and shifting contacts, but Jo has been a constant and reliable source of knowledge and assistance. She is always quick to respond—whether by phone or email—and provides clear, helpful advice that has made all the difference.

All the guys at CITB are very supportive to our company and regularly check in to make sure everything is going well with our company training needs. Dan, Emma and Gareth are who we usually deal with and I can't thank them enough for the help they have gave us over the past few years.

I have done the sssts course twice with the CST academy and both failed ,learning until late and even while getting home trying more and more and still failed .
And the funny thing is that it's all about health and safety but this course create more depression and frustration than anything else ,and all this is because the questions are made to fail the course not to create a future .we are talking about a course that most of things are risk and assets by planned ,builder and manager so it's not all on the supervisor,but automatically the course make you feel that you failed because you haven't found the difference between there same there different answers.maye instead of being so difficult on the answer you should make sure that young people get a opportunity to learn on site what your trying to teach in the course .some people learn better on practical than on paper.

Daniel Aitchison was extremely helpful in assisting me with applying for our Apprenticeship completion grants, I am fairly new in my position so still learning the ropes and wouldn't of had a clue without his help. He called me straight away and provided me with all the information I needed.

Without our representative, we would not have been able to complete the forms because they are so complicated. 5 stars for the rep, 1 star for the CITB technology!

Throughout registering our apprentice the CITB we're always there to help us with any questions we had when getting set up. They also provide financial and proffesional support to help us give our apprentice the best start possible.

Dan has been efficient and provided support when needed.

Florence is an absolute asset to CITB, she has been so informative with the help and support she has provided at CITB - help we didnt know was out there!

The new CSCS MAP test is an absolute "joke"..... Its full of vague multi answerable non- construction site health and safety questions, simply designed to force individuals and organisation to shell out money on CITB training courses& revision stationary. And for a 'WHAT?' a piece of plastic ID, if the CSCS card actually turns out after being ordered

CSCS is not a legally binding requirement for access to a construction site and should be ignored by those in the industry and recruiters.

With tens of thousands of construction workers at different levels to find, the CITB & CSCS simple is not fit for purpose, in fact it will have the opposite effect of putting indivuals off site work or in my case retire early.

The CITB should withdraw the new CSCS MAP Tests, if as claimed, both organisations simply wish to improve industries Health & Safety standards, then why not write 'safety specific' MAP Tests for indiviual industries & trades. Lastly, the various hardworking managers & professionals from various works of life, do not need to be further burden with unrelated job "poppycock" as currently contained in the new MAP,

There seems to be "blocks" of 5 star reviews on this website given by predominantly by 1st reviewer all on the same day, 10 plus such 100% positive 5 star reviews were received by CITB on the 11th Febuary of 2025, 10 + customers all in one day, all gave the same 'positive personalised narative', and even more 'amazing' the majority of them seem to be first time visitors to Trustpilot reviewing!.......

Unfortunately, these "5 star block reviews" seem to fly in the face of most independent users experience with CITB which are represented in the majority 1 star reviews which currently represents 68% of all reviews on this site....

Thanks to our CITB rep Sarah, we managed to get our grants sorted when our apprentice moved from one course to another.
We didn’t realise this could be done.
Sarah has been helpful with other issues over the last few years too
