We also joined the long list of those awaiting promised refunds. Between our credit card company insurance and the excellent UK County court system for recovering monies owed, we recovered most of the monies owed.
Information on how to make a claim, and whether or not you are eligible to make a claim, is available from the U.K. moneyclaims service. It was an easy, effective and quick process

PLEASE REPORT a complaint about Citrus Holidays to the Competitions and Marketing Authority CMA (Gov.UK).Citrus Holidays should not be getting away with not refunding money for cancelled holiday trips due to Covid. I am in the same situation as many of you. It has been 14 months since I was promised a refund and 20 months since I paid Citrus Holidays for a European holiday for myself and my husband.
PLEASE report a complaint about them to the Competitions and Marketing Authority CMA (Gov.UK). I have done this but unless there are more people who complain I don't think it will help my cause. It is a very easy form to complete and they do get back to you with a report reference number within a few weeks. Come on everyone, let's band together and send in complaints. CMA will investigate if there are enough people complaining! They have thousands of dollars of our money. Citrus Holidays should be called on for lying, scheming, and cheating people out of their hard earned money. These fraudsters should be made accountable.

I have exactly the same feedback as a previous reviewer regarding the handling of 2020 bookings cancelled through COVID. I have been waiting 14 months and although was asked for my bank details back in May, hoping things were moving nothing has been refunded yet. I am constantly fobbed off with bland pap when they do bother to respond to my emails!
I have been a loyal customer previously, and had positive experiences however how they have treated customers over the last year indicates they are a bunch of charlatans.
Until I finally get my refund it would be a negative score from me if this was available!

DO NOT USE THIS CROOKED COMPANY!!
14+ months they have given excuse after excuse why they haven’t given me my refund, even though they received my refunds from airlines in August of 2020!
“We are working tirelessly to process refunds”.
“We have been chasing accounts to process your refund”.
“You should have your refund within a few days”-September 2020
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Supposedly bookings are protected u see @ATOL, yet they refuse to give it back, I have hundreds and hundreds of emailed excuses.
If I could give them 0 stars I absolutely would!!!

Rose at Citrus was extremely helpful and efficient and customer friendly.

I have been waiting for over a year for a refund from my trip to Greece which was canceled due to the pandemic. They keep promising a refund but it never comes.

Victor was very helpful and looked after my interest in Malta with much information.

Booked a holiday with Citrus which was cancelled over a year ago due to the Covid situation. We refused to defer the holiday and were promised a full refund by 31st March, since then we have sent untold emails and have had great patience with their delays and promises. We had great sympathy for the travel industry during these unprecedented times but we have now reached the end of the line with Citrus. Due to advice on this site we have started proceedings through the small claims court. It took minutes to apply for and we are now hopeful of a prompt result. Please don’t hesitate to do the same if you’re still waiting for a refund. Citrus have fobbed us off and blatantly lied with refund dates. Shocking!
Thank you to others who have taken the time to write reviews with great advice. Our nightmare is almost at an end.

Citrus paid up on the last day before proceedings were taken further by small claims court. So thankful 🙏

I never gave a review on my only trip with Citrus about 3 years ago which I regret because it was amazing. We Booked a 10 day tour of Vietnam. All transfers were so smooth, the hotels were pristine and the tours they booked all wonderful. I’ve backpacked solo and stayed in 5 star resorts so have a wide breadth of travel experience. I thought their tour was exceptional value for money. Since Covid I haven’t traveled but when I do next book it will be with Citrus

I normally book all elements of my holidays by myself rather than have a package but saw this offer on the Citrus Website when originally looking on Travelzoo for a week's break somewhere. Jay and his team were so patient and helpful, organising all of the elements to complete the holiday. Flights were easy, taxis with helpful reps to get us from Naples airport to the port for our hydrofoil to Capri and then Ischia. Both the hotels were great, central, clean and well maintained leaving us to just enjoy ourselves. What's not to love. If you want a hassle free break then Citrus should do the trick for you. We booked a trip to Greece to depart March of 2020. The fine print said guaranteed 100% refund in case of pandemic. We are still waiting for our refund almost 2 years later!

My family have been chasing a refund for well over a year. They do not respond to emails or voicemails and when I am able to get someone on the phone, there are just empty promises. I have never dealt with such a shocking level of customer service. I am now worried that the company is a sham and we will never get the refund. I am going to have to start legal proceedings.

Received a payment link via email. My bank advised me that this form of payment is suspicious. I did some research and decided all looked okay. However, I made the payment on the 12th October and despite numerous phone calls and emails they have still failed to provide a receipt for my payment or the ATOL certificate. We are now concerned we have been the victims of a scam. Hopefully this will be resolved, but right now we can't help thinking the lack of communication or response to our requests is going to end in bad news. Not impressed at all.
