This is the third time I have gone through Commercial Trust for my remortgaging needs and I can honestly say that from the very first phone call to the very last email every staff member I have ever dealt with at Commercial Trust has been incredibly helpful, professional, friendly and efficient. At times when there might have been a roadblock in the way, I have been advised immediately and they always keep me abreast daily of what is happening. I will not hesitate to use them in the future when I am in the process of mortgaging or remortgaging a property and would not hesitate in recommending their excellent service. I am most grateful to Katie, Chloe and Alison for all of their invaluable help and assistance along the way.

extremely bad service. The worst broker I ever used. They made wrong application with a high rate for business but put individual name as borrower. When they were asked to correct, they replied then reapplication is needed so they have to charge one more time. And what they did is just trying to get you to pay their fee as soon as possible on phone without any clarification in writing even after silently increase price. Very poor! Strongly avoid them!

BEWARE DO NOT USE

Commercial Trust provided completely the wrong advice and mortgage product during a purchase, which has now costed me thousands of pounds in bridging loan fees and not to mention their wasted expensive fees and my time.

I was able to speak directly to the lender who advised that the product which Commercial Trust offered was never available and I should not have been advised that it was.

I proceeded with the purchase of the property due to Commercial Trust's advice that the mortgage product was available and "ready to offer subject to completion". However, following completion I was advised this was not the case and due to Commercial Trust's advice I am now left on a high cost bridging loan costing me thousands of pounds resolve.

Beware of how they are a "telephone based service", whilst they advise their calls are recorded it's much easier to recall correspondence via email, particularly when its completely the wrong advice.

OK - i don't normally write reviews (and join in the Google escalation game) but as an owner of a call centre based business i know just how good these guys were - its a credit to the owners, directors, managers and most importantly the team.

Processes - were systematic and rigorously followed, People - were trained and knowledgeable and professional even as some of their colleagues were sadly furloughed during the process and Positivity - ran through everything the team did.

The only recommendation i would make is get yourself into the Mortgages for Corporates market. The Company you referred me to for one of my other properties is everything you are not. I tried them and ultimately dumped them for someone else (ironically near to you guys).

My Girlfriend is also remortgaging one of her properties and she is similarly impressed with you guys.

Ryan, Dani, Bethanie and Erica were excellent.
The mortgage application started just before the lockdown for Covid19.
They all continued to update me and went above and beyond to ensure everything was still on track.
Any questions I had they responded effectively and instantly.
I have bought and sold other properties and this is the first one I have enjoyed the process, which was not expected, as it was through a very unprecedented time for the whole of the country with Covid19.
Without doubt I would recommend Commercial Trust.

After trying numerous brokers they were not in anyway shape or form on the same level as this broker. 'JADE REYNOLDS' dealt with us and what a great service she provided, always got back to me within minutes, found the best way forward for me and gave great advice along the way. I will be using her again for sure. Also 'NATALIE PALMER' provided a great service again very prompt and always pushing the lender to keep us updated throughout the process.

My experience of acquiring a new buy to let mortgage through Commercial Trust has been very positive. Their knowledge of the market was comprehensive and they were able to provide me with a product that suited my needs perfectly. They kept me well informed throughout the process and responded quickly to my queries. I highly recommend their services.

I’m a portfolio landlord. Very high fees. They charged me fees to put in an application even when they messed up the application!!!! The mortgage company refunded their fees but Commercial Trust didn’t. Rubbish broker much better ones out there who only charge you if they get you a mortgage. These lot are actually slower and too expensive. Contact phone calls telling you nothing. Won’t ever use them again. Total Broker fees can be upto a £1000 and they get paid by the mortgage companies.
All talk no substance. I paid nearly £300 for no mortgage because of their mistakes.
Should be zero stars if I could !!

I elevated to you and sent copies of my emails to your executive team. The conclusion was still no full refund. Now that I have given a poor review and for this reason only the willingness to “look into it “ seems to have taken a renewed sense of sincerity. How disingenuous can you be.
A company that doesn’t take notice when the complaint is internal and only pretends to listen for appearances sake on a review site is definitely rubbish. Do you really think I or any of your customers have time to go thru it all over again ??
Do the right thing in the first place.
There are no second chances to make a first impressions. You lost me at sorry you will still have to pay our broker fee and we don’t care you didn’t get the mortgage !!!

After giving them My details note the generic reply, again no action !! Probably blacklist you ??? So don’t give them your details just in case

Too much pressure on paying upfront fees and then once you have paid everything slows right down. For example I paid all upfront fees including the valuation on a new purchase and was told to expect completion within 8 weeks. I paid all fees in mid August, valuation was done. All paperwork, bank statements, ID etc sent. Had to choose solicitors on lenders panel which I thought was fair enough but solicitors were being chased daily and for a period of time the solicitor dealing with purchase was on leave. I and the estate agent had to do all the chasing and it wasn't until I made a complaint that Commercial Trust started chasing the solicitor. Whilst the solicitor was on leave I spoke to other staff at the firm and also Commercial Trust asking why hadn't someone taken on this work in her absence. Commercial Trust raised a complaint with the Lender Kent Reliance. It just seemed to go on and on. I've been charged high fees for a poor service. Obviously Commercial Trust will just put the blame on the lender / solicitor but they as broker have a responsibility to try and assist, this only happened when I started complaining. Completion eventually took place on 27th November so over 12 weeks and not 8 weeks as advised. No offer of any part refund in their fees as following my complaint their internal investigation result was they had done everything fine. Final fee part I had requested to be added to mortgage, this was not done as requested.
I have given a rating of average because the problem I have is once you have paid their initial broker fees and valuation fees everything seems to go on the back burner. I have obtained mortgages with 4 other lenders in the last 5 years and this has been by far the slowest transaction.

I have dealt with Kim at Commercial Trust and she has been very professional, responsive and friendly from the outset. The information has been presented in an easy to follow way, and she's been exceptionally helpful. Thank you Kim :-)

Beware! Reel you in with low rates and get you to pay and sign their Non Refundable Fees Contract. Then surprise, surprise - they can’t deliver the promised rate!

Totally brilliant. In this case my points of contact were Charley and Laura, who were always patient and meticulous. Nothing was too much trouble. This was the second buy-to-let taken out (largely because the first one was so straight-forward). I can think of no criticism of the service at all. Will return in the future. Many thanks.
