My experience with Consultus has been an wonderful encounter. From my very first meeting with my South African Consultant, I felt welcomed and supported. As the process unfolded and I met more of the staff in the UK, all of whom were very helpful, guiding me through the application process. Thanks to the UK recruitment team for all their work, and especially with organising correct documentation and forms - it is greatly appreciated. The warm welcome and hospitality was exceptional and the professional level of training was excellent - it has been an enriching experience - Thank You Consultus!

My experience has been amazing. Everyone at consult us was very welcoming. The staff that gave us training, namely Sarah, Susan and Imogen were just so great. Their methods of training is beyond words. Thank you so much. To the rest of the team Sue, Lucy, and everyone else, apologies cannot remember all the names, keep up the amazing work you all do. Peter thank you for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to come and meet us personally.

Patty Lloyd goes above and beyond. One cannot help feeling that she genuinely has your best interests at heart. Patty is deeply knowledgeable about how the company works and imparts her knowledge with clarity, kindness and patience.

I have recently finished my 5-day training with Consultus Care. First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to our amazing trainers Sarah, Lisa and Claire. They are so knowledgeable and approachable. They bring their own personal and professional experience into the teaching, which makes everything relatable and easy to understand. The training itself is very detailed and thorough, which is extremely important when you are preparing to work as a carer. It covers everything properly and gives you real confidence for the role. Everyone at Consultus is warm and friendly. A special mention to Lucy and Sue, who always came to see us and chat every morning before training started. They genuinely asked how we were doing and made us feel welcome. The accommodation for the five days was also covered by the agency. The house we stayed in was more than just pleasant — it was very cozy, beautiful and comfortable. On the last day of training we met the CEO, Peter. We had the chance to have a chat with him. He is very down to earth and genuinely cares about his staff, clients and carers. You can really feel his warmth and compassion. I have worked with and encountered many care agencies, and I must emphasise that Consultus is one of the best. They don’t just care about the business — they genuinely care about both their clients and their carers.

From the onset of recruitment to current I have experienced nothing but beautiful personalities from everyone at Consultus, always willing to help and clear up any queries I might have. The invaluable advise, guidance and support I could not have received anywhere else, I am sure. Lucy and Sue were a wonderful source of support to us "newbies" when we did our week's training. On a daily basis hey continually popped in during our breaks to see if there is anything they could do for us, or whether we had any issues regarding the carer house we were staying out. Both made me feel right at home. Thank you ladies, you are doing a great job.

I have been working for Consultus for 30 years now. The system has changed so much. There are many more online tests we have to do as well as the practical training update. Although these can be tiresome, they are very beneficial - one can always learn something new, although travelling by train and paying for the course can be expensive too.
What has changed, is that in the past I used to give my Consultants my dates (I worked with Sue Anderson and Mrs McGee in those days) and they would fill my calendar in for the whole period.
Admittedly in those days, I would take on any challenge (dementia, hoisting, Parkinson's etc) whereas now I prefer light physical help and more companionship, if at all possible.
It seems to me that since Managed Care has been introduced, Consultus has not been as forthcoming in providing jobs as previously.
I find I have to keep on emailing or phoning to remind them of the gaps in my bookings.
I have to say, though, that in the end, they have always found me work even though at times I've had to decline certain assignments.
I have met some extraordinary people through this work, been to the most historic and interesting villages (I love to work in a rural environment) and had adventures that have stuck in my memory.
Consultus has always done their best to keep me working and I am very happy to be a self-employed carer for them.

From the beginning, I felt well supported by Patty’s warm, personable approach, guiding me through a clear, well-organised recruitment and onboarding process that made everything feel smooth and reassuring.

That same care was evident when we arrived at the carer house. It was comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located just a short walk from the training venue.

The training was a superb quality - well balanced, practical, and delivered by highly skilled, warm trainers, Susan and Claire. They went the extra mile to create a relaxed, engaging space and responded with care and patience to the many questions from our very enthusiastic group!

The operations and admin teams were consistently present and supportive throughout, especially Sue and Dan, which added to a real sense of genuine interest and being truly looked after at every stage.

It was also lovely to meet Care Consultants such as Amanda and Jo, who took the time to get to know us better, including our preferences around clients and locations, which felt very thoughtful and personal.

Meeting the CEO, Peter, was the cherry on top.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Consultus Care for its professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine commitment to preparing carers well, drawn from many decades of experience.

I feel super grateful for the experience, for everything I’ve learned, and to be one of the “chosen few” who made it through! :)

I have worked for Consultus Care & Nursing for 4 + years. During this time the company encouraged and helped me to attain my NVQ level 2 and 3. They want their staff to excel. Their in-house training is excellent affording the carers the best training and knowledge to care for their clients. At any time should advice be needed, someone is on-call. This gives both client and carer peace of mind. The fact the company has been in business for over 60 years speaks volumes and personally makes me feel I am working for a well established and professional organisation dedicated in providing the best care possible to all their clients. In conclusion, Consultus is the first company to call when providing care or nursing services or a very rewarding career in the adult care industry.

Consultus has always provided me with the opportunity to work which means so much to me. The consultants have treated me in a very professional manner and have always done their best to match me with suitable clients. It is an honour to be associated with the company and l look forward to many more years working with Consultus.

What an amazing experience, right from the start, guiding with patience and care all the way, made me feel safe and secure and confident in what I was doing, before even getting to the UK to start the onsite training. The onsite training was thorough with amazing trainers, patient and professional. It’s been a wonderful start to this journey, I’ve learnt so much. Thank you to all the training and admin team. With regards to the accommodation, this was truly exceptional, very homely, superior quality. Thank you to all at Consultus!

Meeting Emma as my consultant was a such a God send! She immediately made me feel at ease in the new environment and gave me the confidence boost I needed to launch a career into caring. She listened to me and heard me and has done a wonderful job matching my skills and personality type, with clients. Emma always responds quickly if I have any queries of concerns. Emma is a great asset to Consultus and their clients!

I would like to share what an absolute pleasure it was to be fortunate to complete the Induction training course with Consultus Care recently. I cannot recommend this company highly enough for their enthusiasm, professionalism and all round quality of my experience. From day 1 I was welcomed into the Consultus Care family with such warmth. The courses and subjects covered were intense at times but the staff were able to communicate each and every aspect of each subject professionally and at times with great humour. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The accommodation provided by Consultus Care was also of a high quality and it was fantastic to meet the other trainees with whom I was able to bond with an share experiences. I have recently completed my 5 days of training with Consultus Care.I stayed in one of their carers house which was provided ,and was very clean and comfortable and only a short distance from their office.The training was excellent, very informative and all trainers were kind,supportive and passionate with what they were teaching Consultus Care is extremely organised and well managed. All staff from the reception upwards have been very approachable .An agency that cares about their staff was clear to see.A huge thank you to everyone at Consultus Care, including Sue,Lisa,Louise,Lucy, Imogen, Sarah and Claire.
